Samsung 970 Evo Plus SSD 500GB M.2 NVMe PCI Express 3.0
10 out of 11 members found this review helpful05at 2022-12-01It was installed on an HP G8 250 laptop, which I also upgraded from 8GB to 16GB of memory with Crucial...
In front of it, there was again a basic Samsung NVMe M.2 250GB with speeds of 1200 read and 700 write...
So, an upgrade to a higher capacity and serious speeds was necessary.
The 970 EVO PLUS was chosen due to its longer lifespan DRAM and... of course, its stable performance in all the tests I've done.
No crashes or anything else.
I am including a Crystal benchmark to avoid anyone saying that Samsung's Magician software says what it wants.
I put the old disk in an LC POWER case... and I am including speeds with the Aja system test... for anyone interested in the setup.I have purchased all Samsung SSD series since they were first released and no one has burned out on me for years.
The 970 EVO PLUS NVMe M.2 is made in China, for those who often bring up factory issues and think it is inferior... it is not.
For friends who complain about read and write speeds... they should look at the Windows settings ONLY.
With a Pro series SSD, I once did not have even a third of the speeds, and the IOPS were terrible...
I thought the disk was faulty, but with a little research, I found that I was the culprit...
As the "smart" person, I had messed with the cache settings in the advanced settings of Windows... and in Greek, it is called virtual memory.
I had manually set the initial and final size.
As soon as I switched it back to Automatic, the disk "came back to life" as if by magic. It is common for many people to have messed with system settings on previous disks [from tutorials circulating on the net] and due to migration, it is simply cloned and not noticed.
It works at full speed and delivers what Samsung promises to me with a laptop of 540 euros...
And it does not work on desktop systems with top features, I consider it impossible.
After the cache, if I had a problem, I would look at the drivers. These are my general thoughts, I hope I helped...
For me, Samsung is and will always be my first choice.
The only "issue" I have is that when the disk is working hard, and because the laptop has limited space, temperatures rise to 59-60 degrees, which is very reasonable for an NVMe of these performance levels and what it has on top of it.
I am looking for a cooler and thermal pad that fits in the laptop.
If it were on a desktop, with what I have found on the net and the options for coolers, the temperature level would be dirt.
If I had to comment on something negative about a company like Samsung, it would be the lack of coolers for laptops...
But even then, if they charged you for something that someone might not be satisfied with and led to an additional purchase... I consider it reasonable as an option.
They tell you to take what you want...- Expected speed

Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 10.5" (4GB/64GB) Dark Grey
150 out of 161 members found this review helpful05at 2022-10-30Let's start with the price.
What can we say?
You buy a tablet in the 200 euro category... and it gives you EVERYTHING.
First of all, I should mention that it's worth buying the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
A device that doesn't have enough RAM and storage is slow.
Basic computer knowledge.
If you get a device with 32GB storage, what exactly do some people expect?
The device needs to meet the system's needs [around 10GB], apps, and updates.
The larger the device's storage capacity, the faster it is because it has space for virtual memory.
Have you never noticed that when a device's storage is full, its speed decreases significantly?
That's why you should always have a sufficient amount of free space on every device.
Put what you don't need on the microSD card.
Secondly, as soon as you buy an Android device, enable developer options and set all transition effects to 0.5x.
The device becomes smooth.
You have this capability, which NO Apple device and iOS [after 1000 updates] allows you to have.Thirdly, Samsung allows you to adjust the screen colors on many devices, because I see many people complaining about red and green hues.
In this specific device, it's missing from the settings... okay... so what?
Playstore... download the Display calibration app... run it... restart... and magically, you have natural colors.
The device is simply calibrated by Samsung with these settings.
Does it make it automatically trash?
Come on, guys... Samsung gives you a FULL tablet for 200+ euros and you want a device in the 1000 euro category... that's just ridiculous.Fourth, the speakers are simply amazing.
Atmos... what can we say...
2 speakers on the right, 2 on the left.
No matter how you hold the device, you hear the same thing.
There are no speakers of such quality in any Apple device, not even the ones that cost 1500 euros. The screen resolution is simply perfect for its price. What more do some people want in an 11-inch device?
I watch Cosmote TV and TV for HOURS... and I never noticed any pixels, etc...
Crystal clear...
And finally, the processor is much more than I expected for a 200 euro device.
Everything opens instantly.
It doesn't heat up... everything is as it should be.
Whoever wants to spend 1000 to feel better, go ahead.
A little common sense doesn't hurt.Bravo to Samsung for releasing such complete devices at this price range.
I would easily buy a second device...
You forget when you charged the battery...
In 2 months, it received 2 updates and I hope they stop BEFORE the device becomes a brick like Apple's, which, yes, gives you many updates but turns all models into bricks.
Is it a coincidence?
I have an iPad Air 2, and I want to downgrade the device to iOS 10...
Everything is slow... what's the point of having iOS 15 when it takes 7 seconds just to open the App Store... and the battery barely lasts 3 hours in video playback...
The build quality is simply premium.
You get used to the weight, and it has to do with the battery. Personally, I consider it lightweight.
No Wi-Fi signal problems... I never had disconnections or freezes... everything is smooth.
Type-C... connectivity...
I also put a Spigen case on it, and that's it.
Is it worth buying?
Without a doubt, for the 200 plus euros. If someone now wants a device in this price category with pro features like stylus, etc... they should go to the corresponding category.
Isn't that logical?
What do some people want?
Note capabilities for 200 euros?
Give 400 euros and get an S7 FE.- Speed

If you find such speed in 4k, because I use it in a drone, tell me.
Even the Sandisk Extreme pro U3 that some promote, and hits sectors in a few months and you lose everything, has 2 mb/s.
I will definitely buy 2 more.- Reading speed

Adata ED600 Case for Hard Drive 2.5" SATA III with Connection USB 3.1
2 out of 2 members found this review helpful05at 2021-01-205 Stars and nothing else...
It protects the disk perfectly, it also fits the old SSDs that had a slightly larger thickness...
And IF you see the disk heating up after many hours, it's not a problem...
It opens so easily and simply like a wallet, and you can leave it open to cool down the disk while it's running. This is the second one I ordered...
Well done, ADATA.- Easy disk installation

- Performance stability
- Disk application in the case

TP-LINK RE305 v3 Mesh WiFi Extender Dual Band (2.4 & 5GHz) 1200Mbps
29 out of 30 members found this review helpful03at 2020-07-14I will start with the positives.
It has a very good range.
It synchronizes relatively quickly.
It supports OneMesh.
It is fast.
And quite customizable. However, on the negative side... It gets very hot.
I had an older extender, wa850re, and I was disappointed with it.
The 850 would work at 37 degrees and you couldn't tell if it was functioning or not. So cold...
And the RE305, within 1 hour, reaches 56 degrees and then goes up to 60! [measured with a Bosch laser device].Personally, I never leave it active in the house without my supervision.
I only use it when I need it. Leaving it on for 24 hours, etc., and leaving the house... no way.And because I didn't spend a lot of money on it, I opened it up and saw its components one by one. Very high-quality capacitors and chassis.
It has a huge aluminum heatsink, as much surface area as the CPU board, which means that the company [and a company like TPLINK knows that it has heat issues], I find it unacceptable to put heat dissipation holes as if a needle will pass through them, and in unrelated areas. All the heat is trapped inside the small device and takes a while to cool down inside. It probably has a frying CPU in order to give it capabilities.
They put 300 horsepower in a Fiat hood. I honestly give it a red card.
This hardware should have been placed in a larger case with large holes around it [and on top, which this specific one doesn't have] to keep it at moderate levels. Personally, I took a drill and opened 8 holes on top, and if it breaks, I won't even care about the warranty. The only thing I achieved was a 4-5 degree drop... it still works at 53. Even if I set it to operate at moderate power. If you want something more comfortable, I would suggest looking at something around 450, 455, or 650.
If the temperature issue doesn't bother you and you don't have psychological issues... go for it.
For its price, it is good.Personally, I will wait for the RE 650 V2, which will be released soon and will officially support OneMesh hardware.
And to prevent anyone from saying that I have an issue with the company and I am being excessive, ALL of my devices are TPLINK.
Modem router, router, USB wifi, powerline are all TPLINK and very cool.
That's why I was so disappointed.
If it didn't have this issue, it would be perfect for the 30+ euros.
The best extender.- Ease of installation

TP-LINK TD-W9970 VDSL2 Wireless Modem Router Wi‑Fi 4 with 4 Ethernet Ports
35 out of 35 members found this review helpful05at 2020-07-02The little modem is a star. Compared to my provider on a 50mbps line, it locked at 54998 and upload 5490. It runs at a pure 51mbps due to the splitter.
Very high-quality construction and the lights didn't blink even once. Very honest for its price. I turned off the wifi and connected it to a little router. The router on 5Ghz and at a distance of 6 meters with 3 walls gives me a speed of 52mbps. On 2.4 Ghz, 46mbps... I mention router speeds for the modem's performance.
For those who criticize it in the V2 version, they are wrong.
There are two things you need to know.
When you connect it to quick setup, you need to do auto detect of the network because if you do it manually, it will give you VLANID 1035 and even if you enter the provider's username and password correctly, it won't work.
For forthnet, it needs VLAN ID 835. And then everything works perfectly.Fully customizable, incredible security and settings. A plethora of settings to get lost in.
Very clean User Interface and everything is right in front of you.
I bought it for someone else and ended up keeping it for myself. As for temperatures, it is much cooler than the latest Forthnet ZTE H267N.
It has many holes-grills for heat dissipation.
The secret, if you want it to be completely cool, is to put two wooden blocks on the right and left side underneath so that the heat escapes DIRECTLY without getting heated from continuous use from underneath. Alternatively, as I did, you can use 4 cut N10 cups at 0.8 centimeters and glue them with hot glue in the 4 corners from underneath. And if you want to remove them later, they come off from the plastic without any damage or harm.As for the wifi, with 3 walls in between, it gives me a speed of 22mbps.
The 2 antennas of 4 dbi ensure quality and power compared to the providers' rubbish.
As soon as I got it, I manually upgraded the firmware because it doesn't do it automatically.
Pay attention to the version... it is TD W9970 V3. You can download it from TPLINK and it is a critical upgrade. There was an issue with hacking CWMP and TPLINK fixed it immediately.
I will immediately get a second one for the person I "stole" it from.- Operational stability

Artemis A-2001 Colour Commercial Coffee Frother Black 350W with 2 Speeds
10 out of 10 members found this review helpful05at 2020-05-29Fantastic device and machine, I really have nothing negative to say.
Very powerful motor.
Made in Greece.
The motor purrs...
Solid and compact metal construction. It looks and feels premium, guys.
No need to worry about it breaking or not finding a replacement part for it...ever.
I have the feeling that I will grow old with this frappe maker.
If I knew there were such great machines from the beginning, I wouldn't have wasted my money on something else.
I didn't buy the automatic function because the fewer components and switches, the longer the lifespan, in my opinion. It has a large metal cup that attaches to the body of the machine. You can blend anything in there or not...after all, with such power, it takes a few seconds to do its job.Only if it had metal stirrers, it would be perfect, but after thinking about it and seeing its power, I firmly believe that if it hits a glass cup, it will break it!
So, plastic a thousand times, it also comes with a spare one.Bravo to the Greeks...really.
