Very good product.
I installed it in order to connect all my devices in the office with wired connections (10m away from the router) by using a managed switch in between. The 5GHz reception is excellent and overall I am quite satisfied (the only downside is that it introduces a noticeable latency).
CAUTION: as mentioned in the description, the LAN port is only 100Mbps. If your connection from the provider is above 100Mbps, then a setup like mine will create a bottleneck.
I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because for this price it could have had a gigabit ethernet port.
While I have an older model that I was completely satisfied with, unfortunately I can't say the same about this one. Unfortunately, very poor range. For an apartment on one level it's okay, but if the house has a ground floor and first floor, no, I wouldn't recommend it. Personally, I would not buy it again.
Satisfied with the TP-Link MR600 router, I decided to get this one here, unfortunately it turned out to be terrible. Continuous disconnections, it showed no internet. This problem is actually known on the internet, but I couldn't find a solution. It got very hot, and finally yesterday after a week it broke, the lights won't turn on anymore. R.I.P. I got the slower RE200, after a little waiting and patience it connected just fine. Let's see how this one does...
A bit difficult to set up for someone who is not familiar, but once done, it has very good performance. It is worth the money.
I got it from the reviews, but unfortunately it doesn't have good range at all and it cuts out at 200 meters - from the office to the hallway without a door - at 30. You get what you pay for
I have been working on it continuously for 3 years without breaks and other things I read. It is located in a room with a Z shape, 10+ meters away from the router. Now I will get a second one to connect cameras. If there were 6 stars, I would give it to him.
Unfortunately, while it performed very well during the first 2 years, 1 month after the warranty expired, it started disconnecting. I tried resetting and reinstalling multiple times, with no result. After contacting the company's customer service, it temporarily worked, but after a short while, it disconnects from the internet. It's an economical solution, but not if you want it to last for years...
The connection through wps is immediate. Through the application, it has made it a little difficult for me. It has not caused any interruptions.
Perfect.
I got it for 5G frequency extension on the upper floor and the speed remains unchanged compared to the main Router. I recommend it!
I bought it during the first quarantine to improve internet connection in the bedrooms (100 sqm house), but I didn't see any significant difference
It does its job exactly. We had a room that always had spotty network and now it's good.
It struggles a bit when we have multiple devices, but for its price, it's very good.
At first, I connected it to the wifi since the lan socket on the upper floor had not been fixed yet. The signal was satisfactory, although it was almost above the ground floor router and close to the staircase, which had a permanent opening.
The next step, which was also the reason why I bought it, was to connect it as an access point directly with lan, and it works great throughout the floor (85 sqm).
Overall, I am satisfied even though I have had it for less than a month. If something doesn't work, I will come back!
I have it at a fairly long distance from my router. It is separated by 2 walls from the router and still catches signal, it is also quite fast. It is definitely worth its money.. it is small so it doesn't bother anywhere. I believe it is a good choice.
Great instability in the signal. Sometimes it just doesn't work on the Internet. Waste of money. Technical support is almost non-existent.
Well, I use it as if it were the router. Everything is plugged in - cameras, mobile phones, laptops, everything. It doesn't lag, it just slows down when it gets busy, but it doesn't freeze. The range is terrible, only 70 square meters. The gaming speed is perfect when using its 5G function and supported by the respective device.
I wanted better signal on the balcony and at the entrance from the 1st floor where it was borderline, I have it here for a week, do I have it? I don't know! I didn't see any difference in the signal, nor did any device connect to it. I changed its position, connected it with ethernet, nothing! Instead of being more stable, it was pulling resources from the router and causing lag on the smart TV, which was also connected to the other ethernet port! I have an old tp link 854 which is doing something, even the re 305 connected to it when I put it close to it. I bought a devolo powerline mini 1 starter kit for 100€, but it works! You get what you pay for in the end!
After two months suddenly there is no internet for no reason, especially its 5ghz is terrible, literally outside my room I have full signal but the internet doesn't move. Incredibly faulty, stay away
So far, everything is fine, it does its job, while having the ability to determine when it will start and when it will close each day on its own.
Despite the years I have in telecommunications and networks, the device gives me a lot of trouble. It took a lot of effort to activate it as it didn't easily access the settings page. If you make the mistake of transferring it to another socket, it loses its settings and you have to plug and unplug it multiple times in a socket for it to open properly. Money wasted!
Update: The firmware I updated didn't work at all. With Tethering from my mobile, at a distance of 0.5 meters, I have a message saying "Connection unstable"
For its price, it is quite good and has satisfactory range. I would prefer a slightly better range to adequately cover the other side of the house. For browsing and not making calls through Viber, etc., it covers the other side, even with a weak signal. It does not overheat and synchronizes quickly every night when I take it out. Also, I don't know why, but I have the impression that the internet is faster on my mobile than through a direct connection to the router.
Very good. Many say that it increases temperature, which is true, but it doesn't bother me personally. I don't believe it will cause any harm without being an expert. In an old D-Link model I had, it must have had higher temperatures and it didn't create any problems for me. In terms of range, it works great and covers both the 2.4 and 5 bands at a distance of 9-10 meters, passing through two walls. When you download the app on your mobile for easier installation, after setting it up, update the Firmware as there may be an available update for installation, like in my case. When I did the upgrade, it showed different options that didn't exist before, such as the option to set when the amplifier turns on and off. Finally, for the Ethernet input, I connected the amplifier to the computer with a cable. The speeds are similar to the amplifier's wifi speed (slightly lower with the cable, around 100 to 200 kbps)
I had bought the Xiaomi Pro 300M Single Band and I threw it away. Really. Even though it had coverage, the internet speed was dropping to 10mbps. There was no way I could continue like that. With Vodafone and 50mbps VDSL with a strong signal, I had to find something better. I read the reviews for the TP-Link and I was convinced. Reviews are incredibly useful. Yes, I confirm that the extender is amazing. In a 90m² house, I have full wifi signal from one end to the other and the most important thing is that the internet speed reaches 45mbps!!!! Thank you to the other reviewers :)
I got it today, I preferred the installation through the application, don't go crazy and put it too close to the device you want to boost the signal because it doesn't work like that! Put it in the middle between the router and your device, it's perfect, I have Vodafone and now I'm making the most of the 50mbps as I should!!! Full signal, I highly recommend it without hesitation!!!
Although I have no issues with range and speed, this extender has a major drawback for me. Unfortunately, in the second wifi network that someone will create with the extension, they can choose any name they want, but for the password, they use the same one as the host router's wifi network. For example, if our router's wifi is Demo1 with the password 12345, we can create an extended wifi with the name Demo2, but the password will still be 12345 and this cannot be changed. For me, this constitutes a security gap.
We are not experts. We followed the instructions and downloaded the application for synchronization. From there, we plugged it into a socket in the center of our 75sqm house and the speed has changed throughout the house. We are very satisfied
At 11 meters with a wall in between, the signal does not extend. I need to bring it to another available socket (at 8 meters), but then the signal does not reach where I want. Disappointing purchase.
Elegant and easy to install and use. It gets the job done.
I got it myself two days ago! To tell the truth, I was going for my V3 about the V1...(Be very careful when buying a product, make sure to check its features again and again).
In the end, of course, I didn't mind it at all, because it has a very good range and I get super fast speeds!! (I have the extender one floor below the router, and I have connected it with an Ethernet cable to the desktop computer).
I have a 100-star line, and with a measurement, I get about 94.50 Mbps! I'm not bothered!! It's great! Fantastic!!
Also, I read that it gets warm...When you touch it, it's a liiiittle warm, but for me, it's normal, it doesn't bother me! I should also mention that I operate it with both bands (2.4 & 5GHz).
That's it.....I believe it's worth it, don't be afraid!!
After a month of use, I am revising my evaluation, which was initially positive. I bought it mainly to extend the 5 GHz wifi at home. Unfortunately, the speed when connecting through the extender is mediocre, even though the extender is at the correct distance from the router, as confirmed by the indicator light on top. Any request, such as opening a webpage in the browser, takes 1-2 seconds to respond, while when I connect directly to the router, the response is instantaneous. Disconnections are frequent and occasionally, for no reason, it stops broadcasting the 5 GHz network and after a while, it comes back on its own. A very peculiar extender, I would recommend avoiding it.
The worst purchase I have made... it's not worth even 10 minutes. It constantly disconnects, the 5ghz never works! It keeps increasing the temperature, I believe we will even catch fire in the end.
