The baby is two months old and it is the most value for money for ground coffee! If you have a little extra money for a grinder, even better! Keep in mind that it takes a maximum of 14g of ground coffee in the basket, while professional machines used in cafes take around 16g. So, you get a slightly lighter coffee with the same amount of water, which personally doesn't bother me at all.
I gave it 4 stars because it didn't have 4.5, and the issues I have are minor compared to what it offers for the price.
It comes with a manual, so be patient, but everything I followed after researching turned out well...

1) Positives
Value for money! It is a fairly high-quality machine construction-wise, beautiful, with good performance, takes up minimal space, makes decent coffee, quickly pays for itself, and saves you a lot of money in the long run.
With 1 to 2 uses per day for 2-3 months (only!!!), you will have produced as many coffees as you would have bought from outside and equal to the value of the machine.

2) Negatives
a) Plastic body inside the portafilter, but on the other hand, I didn't expect everything to be perfect for the money I paid.
b) The steam production lever gives me the impression that it will break every time I turn it. Okay, it won't break, it just feels very light in the hand, so don't force it too much and everything will be fine. It seems to withstand proper use, so I can't complain!
c) Rubber interior on the nozzle. Again, for the money I paid, I have no complaints.
d) The heating plate needs more than the 40 seconds it takes for the boiler to heat up after you turn on the machine. If you want to use it, you will have to wait 5 minutes. I prefer to heat the cup by pouring the first water from the portafilter into it. 2 in 1, both the cup and the portafilter get heated, and everything is fine.

3) Regarding the coffee.
a) Adjust the temperature according to the instructions on the middle setting. I don't remember the factory setting, but if it is set to a high temperature, it will burn and taste sour. If you control the flow manually (by pressing and holding), and not with the factory times, use a timer because anything over 27-28 seconds will slightly sour your coffee, especially if it is a dark roast. Find the seconds that give you the coffee taste you prefer and program the machine accordingly.
b) Don't press the tamper 2-3 times or, if you haven't found the way to tamp evenly and need to tamp more than once to achieve a flat surface, don't press too hard. Compressed coffee grounds make it harder for water to pass through and the coffee will taste sour.
c) Store the coffee in an airtight container, always buying a small quantity, as its taste is easily affected by humidity, odors from other foods, and exposure to air. Especially if you buy pre-ground coffee, calculate the quantity you need for about 3-4 days and buy that amount. In my case, a grind size of 2.3 in a single-origin coffee from a well-known coffee chain worked perfectly. If you grind your own coffee and have followed the above steps, increase the grind size on your grinder. You might be grinding the coffee too fine, making it difficult for water to pass through, leaving it in contact with the grounds for too long and causing it to burn, resulting in a sour drink.
d) Before and after brewing coffee, always run water through your portafilter with the basket attached and cleaned. If you don't use the machine frequently, make sure to run enough water before making coffee.
e) Always fill with water from a filter or well-maintained bottled water or... water from your village in glass jars, again filtered if not from a crystal source. Chlorine alters the taste more than you think.
Finally, keep in mind that the machine operates with a pressurized basket, so you will lose a bit of flavor and aroma compared to better non-pressurized machines. However, for the money you paid, you are doing your part and enjoying decent coffee at home, so enjoy it!

4) Milk frothing
a) Dedicate about half an hour to watch 2-3 videos on frothing milk with this specific machine.
b) Use known methods, such as 1.5% fat milk, cold directly from the refrigerator, about 100ml in quantity, and froth it in a stainless steel container (I do it in a stainless steel pitcher and everything is fine).
c) You won't get very high-quality frothed milk to make fancy designs in cappuccinos no matter what you do (unless you dedicate a lot of time to practice). However, if you keep the steam wand slightly submerged throughout the process and use the proportions of 1/3 espresso, 1/3 milk, and 1/3 frothed milk, your cappuccino will be just fine. Just remember the old classic technique of holding back the foam with a spoon while pouring the frothed milk from the container, so that the foam remains and then add it with the spoon.
d) Clean the steam wand after each use before closing the machine. In the instructions, you will find how to cool down the boiler after using the steam function.

Personally, I have checked all the above so far and they work just fine for my taste. Especially for the easy cleaning of the steam wand, I follow a specific sequence for making cappuccino: espresso, frothed milk, cool down the boiler (water and steam come out of the wand and partially clean it internally), and finally, I let a dose of water run through the portafilter to clean it as well. This way, your steam wand will have fewer milk residues when you remove it to clean it.
You will enjoy a decent cappuccino quickly and economically at home. Not perfect, not terrible, and we have all had terrible coffee even in cafes! Again, enjoy it!

5) Grinder
I have a mid-range electric grinder (40-50 euros). For its price, it works just fine, especially considering that these grinders work better in my opinion with the pressurized portafilter that Dedica has. However, if you already have Dedica and plan to upgrade your machine relatively soon and switch to one with a non-pressurized function, keep in mind that you will need a higher-quality grinder for better grinding.
Tip: Grinders with plastic containers tend to hold ground coffee stuck to the walls due to static electricity, so you may notice inconsistency in the amount of coffee you get from the collection container compared to the amount you have set to grind. Before grinding, sprinkle a drop of water on the beans in 2-3 spots. This reduces static electricity and reduces mess.
