The Kingston FURY Beast RGB DDR5 is aimed at demanding computer users, such as gamers, professionals in video and image editing, designers, and those who require high performance from their computer.

DDR5

DDR5 is the fifth generation of RAM memory technology for computers. It replaces DDR4 and offers increased speeds and capacity.

It offers operating speeds from 3200MT/s to 12600MT/s, latency (CAS Latency) from CL 28 to CL 48, while its capacity has increased up to 64GB per memory module.

For speed (MT/s) and capacity (GB), the larger size we choose, the better performance we will have in our system, while for latency (CL), we want the smallest size for the speed (MT/s) we have chosen.

The above features must be compatible with the specifications of our motherboard.

The Kingston FURY Beast RGB DDR5 provides speed at 6000MT/s, with CL36 and 16GB per memory module.

Compatibility

DDR5 technology is compatible with specific motherboards and processors. Indicatively, DDR5 is compatible with Alder Lake, Raptor Lake, and the latest Intel processors, as well as AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors.

However, for compatibility with your motherboard, you need to ensure that your motherboard supports DDR5 technology from the manufacturer. Compatibility depends on the processor platform and the type of motherboard you are using.

XMP & EXPO

XMP & EXPO is a technology that allows us to increase the frequency and performance of our computer's memory without the need for manual adjustments. (XMP/EXPO) is easily activated from the BIOS, available in certain RAM memories, and supported by certain motherboards.

The Kingston Fury Beast RGB DDR5 has (XMP 3.0/EXPO) profiles with performances:

  • Speed (XMP 3.0/EXPO): 6000 MT/s
  • CAS Latency (XMP 3.0/EXPO): 36-38-38
  • Voltage (XMP 3.0/EXPO): 1.35V

RGB Lighting

The RGB lighting in the Fury Beast RGB DDR5 series has all the means and functions to create a unique and impressive look on your computer.

You can achieve this either through the software provided by the company, FURY CTRL, or with compatibility in Sync Up software provided by motherboard companies. The advantage of Sync Up is that we can synchronize the RGB lighting of the entire computer.

The Fury Beast RGB DDR5 is compatible with Asus Aura, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, and MSI Mystic Light software.

Cooling & Design

The aluminum construction material combined with the memory height of 42.23mm, which is an ideal size to fit large CPU coolers, helps to keep the memory and the entire computer at a fairly low temperature even during the most demanding operations.

    The memory was installed on an MSI PRO B650M-B motherboard which is supported by the memory. However, when enabling XMP or EXPO on the motherboard, the system does not respond and BSODs occur. Therefore, I could not run them at 6000MHz but only at the default 5200MHz, which is why -1 star. Of course, it may also have to do with the Ryzen 8500G processor that is on the motherboard.
