In my opinion, these specific headphones are value for money as I did not expect them to fit so well in my ear and have such a good battery life. The sound is exceptional! Overall, I am very satisfied with the jbl tune flex.
Very nice, comfortable, good sound, etc., but they are not worth their money for 2 reasons. The first reason is a common problem that many people mention, often while the case is full of battery and you put them to charge, only one charges, and I had bought 2 of them, one for me and one for my brother, and it happened to both of us, resulting in many times I would go to put them on and one would shut down due to low battery. The second problem is that I bought them in January and for the past 20 days (today is 30/5/2023) the sound in the left earphone has dropped significantly and the sound is very low, while the other one sounds normal...
Extremely disappointing product, from such a company.
Terrible connectivity, one moment the battery is at 90% and the next at 10%.
It would be good for JBL to withdraw this particular model.
Not even worth 5 euros...
So it wants to work. Within 1 year I have replaced them once and now I will change the second ones, which they gave me as a replacement.
For their price, I wouldn't recommend them. They do exactly the same for me as others have said: Both don't charge, the battery drains rapidly, they go into the case and lose connection, etc. etc. Stay away.
Unfortunately, my experience with these headphones has not been satisfactory. Although the sound is quite good, the connectivity is problematic. The connection drops frequently. This makes it difficult to use them, whether for music or calls. For their price, I would expect greater reliability in operation. I would not recommend them to those who need stable and hassle-free connectivity.
Very good, they are worth it
They are good headphones but, first, the active noise cancellation makes no difference and second, they buzz in your ears if you are outside
I've been using them for a little over a month. For their price, they are definitely worth it for me personally. They connect very quickly. They are quite durable. They have a nice sound. When I talk on calls, they hear me perfectly. I got them in blue and they really have a beautiful design. I've switched from other brands in the last two to three years. 3 to 4 pairs. I got JBL for the first time and I am very satisfied!
Really disappointed as this is a classic case of default problems and what I mean.
2/2 pieces after a while (a few months), purchased from different stores, one branded and the other not, and used by 2 different people, lost connection, the right earbud with the base resulting in if you have them in a bag or anywhere else besides a flat surface they do not charge.
Great app, great sound, great range, water resistance, a shame for the money and a shame for me who got used to something so high quality that lasted so little.
When a product lasts less than the 2-year warranty especially from a company like JBL that has not accustomed us to failures, well it's better to avoid it.
Unfortunately, stay away!
They often stay connected after being placed in the case, resulting in not charging, and when you need them, they are out of battery
The headphones were purchased at a discounted price of about 70 euros. They look nice and the sound quality they offer is satisfactory. The problem is that before too much time passed, the right one lost a lot of battery. Specifically, it charges up to 50% and drops quite quickly, resulting in about 7 months of having them, I can't complete a 1.5-hour workout. The right one essentially shuts down after 40 minutes. I don't know if it's just mine or a general problem with the model, but I don't think I would buy them again.
Purchased in December 2023 for 75 euros.
Positives:
- Very fast connection with the mobile as soon as you open the case
- Very good and stable fit in the ear
- Very good music sound
- The size of the case is satisfactory
- Good acoustics in phone calls
- Comes with an app for further customization of the headphones
- Has touch gestures on the headphones for ending or starting a call as well as for managing music (pause, next, previous song) and activates the Google Assistant
Negatives:
- Non-existent noise canceling! I feel deceived as I bought them for this very reason. In phone calls, the listener hears EVERYTHING! The noise canceling advertised is for the external noises that I hear and not for the listener.
- The headphones after a while do not make good contact with the terminals in the case resulting in them often being out of battery
- The gestures do not include volume up or down
- The available ambient sound control cannot be changed during the call
Amazing headphones with very good sound and a very nice feature to switch from on-ear to in-ear for the undecided BUT (big but) after 1.5 years the battery lasted only 15-25 minutes of use in my ear and I had to put them back for charging. They will be returned under warranty and I will give them one more chance because for 1.5 years they left me completely satisfied.
Good sound quality and powerful sound. It connects immediately and the headphone battery lasts for 5 hours with phone calls (not with continuous use e.g. youtube). Very good.
No difference in noise cancelling, when you put them in the case they charge whenever they want, resulting in taking them out after 5 hours with e.g. 10% on one and 60% on the other.. they seem of good quality but they are not.
In the 5th month they stopped working, they don't pair with the phone at all, and with a second phone I tried, they don't even see the bluetooth. I searched online to reset them without the app and still nothing, they are now useless and the use I made of them was very light, I only used them for music, movies, and for a few hours mainly at night. They had never fallen down, nor had I mistreated them, and suddenly one day there was no connection even though they were working because when I put them in my ear I could hear music and it would stop without being connected. Another negative was that there was a delay in the sound, meaning you would see a video talking and the sound would be heard after 1-2 seconds. Overall satisfied with the battery, sound but the money was wasted.
i bought the earbuds 9 months ago and earbuds has been damaged, Earbuds has charging problem and left earbud is not work and not charging
I have had them for a year, they work great, they have fallen down several times and haven't suffered any damage. At first, I had a problem with the charging as mentioned, but I cleaned the contacts and opened and closed them using the app, and since then everything is okay. The only negatives, in quotation marks, are the volume and the noise cancellation, but for the money they cost, they are super, that's it!
Very sensitive headphones, they broke very quickly, they are definitely not worth their money and for me the sound should be louder.
After a year of use, I can say the following starting with the most important points for which they were purchased:
• Average sound quality
• Very poor microphone noise reduction, for example, air, engine, etc. Also, it doesn't always work.
• Very poor active noise cancellation, almost non-existent
• Average build quality
• The right earphone almost never charges from the first few days
• Poor connection/disconnection, for example, even when both are inside the case with the lid closed and should be charging, they don't charge and are still connected to the mobile phone
• They definitely are not worth their money
First impressions from the first true wireless set after Airpods Gen1 (which have been broken for a few years). Purchased 3 days ago (11/25/23).
Until now, I was using SoundCore Life Q35 when going to external meetings and an old Plantronics, which is now on its last legs, was always in my bag just for calls. So it was time for the next road set, and I wanted it to be musically acceptable for the cases when the Q35 were "too much" due to size.
The important points:
1) The call quality is very good; I can hear and be heard clearly with a good voice tone. One day with wind, the person on the other end said that the wind sounds normal, which for me means it wasn't cutting him off.
2) I find the Noise Cancelling function to be inadequate to non-existent. In an old subway train, the one with the separate orange cars, I turned off the music as I practically couldn't hear anything. On the return trip, with a newer train, the sound was at tolerable levels, as if I had chosen to communicate with the environment. I didn't expect the isolation of an over-ear model (Q35), but I would expect to at least hear the music. I also played with the 6 levels of NC provided by the app but didn't notice any substantial difference.
3) The gesture controls require some getting used to. I'm still trying to do what I want. They work with some beeping and possibly holding (single tap / double tap / tap & hold), which is audible in silence but not in a noisy environment (this is where the inadequacy of the NC comes in again), meaning you don't really know how many beeps you've pressed and consequently what will happen.
The gesture modes I've chosen are left earbud Volume Control, right Music Control. The settings are almost specific, without bothering me too much, but for example, I can't disable the Voice Control that appears with tap & hold. If you hold your finger on the earbud a bit longer (because you didn't hear the beep....) you lose everything because it waits for a command.
4) The app itself is just fine. I didn't encounter any difficulties in navigation and control. Generally, I've left a few functions active to avoid many surprises (see point 3).
5) In the sound settings, there is an equalizer, and I ended up with my own curve to achieve the feeling I want. It sounds good for its price, at least in my view of things since I don't have experience with another true wireless set lately, and the AirPods are just a memory now (as an object and not in color and sound feel). It has bass, mids, and highs. I have no complaints.
6) As for the Flex aspect, I use the (small) ear tips that isolate sound and also stabilize the earbuds in the ear. I haven't dropped any, nor have I felt like they were trying to fall out, something unprecedented for me since the AirPods often slipped/fell out. I definitely remember that from those!
The general conclusion, so far, is that I see I can do my job and enjoy this purchase. If there is something better with improved performance in all the above, check it out.
I expect to see how they hold up over time because complaints have been made. I will return with anything I think is worth knowing for a potential buyer.

I change my rating from 4 stars to 3.
The main reason is my complaints about the handling.
1) Ultimately, either I haven't gotten used to the tap / double tap yet, or the earbuds are not well made. I'm still trying to figure out where I need to tap my finger for it to "hear." A little while ago, I was trying to lower the volume (double tap / volume down), and it ended up increasing because it registered one of the two taps, which means volume up. Not pleasant. I find the slide up / down for volume much clearer.
2) I think the communication between the headphones and the phone should be faster. For example, I need to tap the right headphone for pause. I don't hear the beep indicating that the tap registered; after all, the music is playing. I tap (eventually a second tap), so in the next fraction of a second, I hear the music stop and then start again immediately. Not pleasant. I must have experienced this 2-3 times before it stopped without restarting.
3) Another time, I get home, stop the music, put the headphones in the case, and at some point, I glance at my phone and see the Music player suggesting the previous / pause / next controls. To cut a long story short, obviously, when I grabbed the headphone to put it in the case, it activated again, started playing, and >> it didn't even stop when I put it in the case and closed it <<. I find this unacceptable. Whatever happens, when you put them in the case and close it, they should stop.
And the good...
Other than that, the sound is still very much to my liking, and I found my comfort with the additional rubber tips at the end of the headphone, and now I have good isolation from the environment, without my ear being pressured and without them falling even during a jog.
Also, I don't even remember when I last charged them. I must listen to music for about an hour and a half a day while walking my dog.
Plus, the good side of not having very good isolation from the environment is that for safety reasons, when I walk on the street, I want to hear what's happening around me, especially with a dog in hand, and I don't need a Noise Cancelling / Transparency solution (which is practically non-existent in this case [the NC]) since it permanently operates in Transparency....
After a month of use, the right earphone did not fit well in the case and did not charge. As a result, it remained connected to the phone and calls were transferred to the earphones while I was trying to talk on the phone. I have returned them for replacement or refund a month ago and I am still waiting...
General comments:
Their sound is very high-quality, completely clear, and of course, from the app, you can adjust the sound profile if you want more bass or treble, etc. The Active Noise Cancelling works very well in steady noises (e.g., the noise produced by a bus). However, it does not cancel out more isolated/unsteady sounds (e.g., speeches, impacts, external music), but this is not a negative characteristic of the headphones since it is generally difficult to cancel out sounds that change over time. The fit in the ear worked for me without the silicone ear tips, but without them, I didn't have as good passive isolation. In other ears, the fit with the ear tips may be fine. The call quality was not particularly good for me, for example, it was difficult for my conversation partner to hear me on a bus. Of course, in a quiet environment, this problem did not exist. Finally, I had no issues with charging, as I saw in many other reviews.
Overall, very good impressions, BUT:
I got them in the "ghost" color during Black Friday 2022, and within less than a year, I had the following issues:
1) Within a week of purchase, I noticed that there was a creaking sound in the right earbud during vibrations, intense movements, or heavy bass. It sounded like something was moving inside the earbud when I shook it with my hand. Fortunately, it was considered defective, and the dealership immediately replaced it.
2) About 6-7 months after purchase, the volume in the right earbud started noticeably decreasing, to the point where I could only hear from the left ear. Again, it was deemed defective by the dealership, but they didn't have stock of the specific earbuds for replacement, so they gave me a store credit for the same price.
Because of these issues, I decided it was better to go for something else.
In summary:
While the experience was excellent when they were working properly, if they keep turning out defective every now and then, they probably aren't worth it, at least in the impressive ghost design. The other designs may (or may not) be more durable.
I mainly wanted them for listening to music while running, and they excel in both basic requirements: they fit correctly and do not slip or fall, and they have excellent sound quality for music (JBL guarantee). I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews, I have had them for 8 months with absolutely no issues
I have had them for about 4 months, no problem at all and they are excellent for their price compared to other companies. JBL is now the way to go, guys!
Within a month at most, the left earphone had burned out, plus they wouldn't even charge even though I had them charging all night. Waste of money
I use them daily with my iPhone for listening to music and talking. Satisfied with both. No connectivity issues and instant. The JBL application is a big plus. With the silicone case, there are no damages to the case.
After 3 months of use, the headphones were quite satisfactory as they provided very satisfactory bass and sound. Unfortunately, their design is not suitable for everyone, but they worked for me. The only significant problem that occurred is that after about 2 months, the right earphone often did not charge while the case was at 100% (three bars), which seems to happen frequently according to reading other comments. I think there are better options on the market right now at the same price.
I have been using them for about a month. Their sound is very good and the app is very helpful. It connects instantly to my Huawei mobile phone. The only thing that concerns me is that there have been times when the connection is cut off and the phone doesn't recognize the headphones. Of course, this could be a problem with the phone since it is an old model. Overall, though, the headphones are very comfortable in the ear and their battery lasts for several hours.
My sister gave them to me because she didn't like the color. So far, I have to say that my experience is positive and the headphones are good. I have the following to say:
Good sound quality
Good volume, meaning they play loudly
The battery is good
They are comfortable and don't fall out of my ears
They are beautiful
Compared to airpods, oneplus buds, redmi buds basic, and buds 3 (which I had before), these headphones have the BEST touch buttons and always understand when I touch them.
Another thing is that compared to the other headphones I mentioned, these are the only ones I wear and can go anywhere in the house without losing the signal (note: I used the airpods, oneplus buds, and redmi buds basics with a cheap Xiaomi, while I used the redmi buds 3 and JBL tune with the iPhone 13, and this may contribute to the signal loss).
For the best experience, you must download the JBL headphones app and customize them a bit and when you do that, everything will be fine. With this app, you can customize many things like noise cancellation (which I never understood how it works and it didn't offer me anything on any headphones, as for these headphones, when it's activated, my ears just hurt from the pressure they create).
Another thing I don't like is the case because it's not glossy and doesn't stick to the hand, resulting in it slipping and falling often (this is observed in many headphone brands and doesn't make sense) and finally, the shape, although nice in the hand, is a bit strange.
The case works perfectly as a flashlight for the night in a dark room with the little lights that show the charging
After using them for about a week and also trying the xiaomi buds 4 pro, I come to the following conclusions: they have very powerful bass, strong and clear sound, adjustable frequencies through the app (equalizer) resulting in a nice and rich audio experience, while their design is beautiful and simple. The app offers a wide range of functions beyond the equalizer to adjust the details for better performance. The battery seems fine without being annoyingly demanding for charging, and their connectivity is quite fast with devices.
However, the sound cancellation simply reduces the noise a little without any amazing results. The ambient aware feature is nothing more than satisfactory, while the talk through function simply works well. Now, when I use both the earphone and the microphones together, such as during calls, the sound often receives interference and distorts some vowels. Finally, their fit in the ear is mediocre as I tried all sizes of gel tips along with the on-ear ones, and I can say that they are not comfortable and even tiring for long durations (at least for my ears, which were in pain afterwards).
Also, I have to mention that the first ones I received were defective and I had to exchange them. In my opinion, if you have the same amount of money, it's better to get the xiaomi buds 4 pro. They may not have as much bass, but they have everything else.
I WOULD NOT BUY THEM AGAIN
