Today, 1/11/2022, I bought this intercom and installed it on my NOLAN N 80 helmet. The choice was purely due to money, as the original N-COMM costs over 160. The installation was relatively easy, but you need to have some skill and know what you're doing. What do I mean? The helmet has a wide lip at the bottom that prevents the base from fitting properly, so you have to cut a piece in the shape of a "P". It was installed on the left side of the helmet because the right side is for the gas/brake. Inside the helmet, there are holes to insert the speakers, but the diameter is small and you have to enlarge it to fit the speakers of the set. I used the small microphone so that it doesn't bother me in the mouth. I removed the side pads to hide the wires and then put them back. Unfortunately, I cannot give an opinion on the intercom because I will buy a second set in the future to install it on another helmet, so I will come back later. I have read the previous comments and I will say that the sound is more than satisfactory, but not unbearable. I tested it in the city as a radio and lowered the volume just to hear the engine and the surroundings. Personally, I am not so interested in the radio as much as the intercom and receiving calls from my mobile phone. The buttons are easy to find and operate, even with gloves on. There is a slight delay of about 5 seconds for incoming calls, but it is negligible. Overall, I believe it was a good purchase and I am looking forward to its durability over time. EDIT 16/12/22 Today, I bought a second set and installed it on a second helmet that I had. The installation is exactly the same as the first helmet. I haven't tested it on the road with noise yet, but I will in the future. I tested it with another person inside the house and we could hear each other very well and loudly. Pairing both devices was very easy, and at the same time, I had one set connected to my mobile phone. However, I noticed that if you want to listen to music, i.e., songs from your phone, you have to open the music app, but you can't change the song from the rotating ring. This happened with both devices, so I don't think it's a defect. It's a minor issue for me personally because I'm more concerned about the connection with the phone for calls and talking to the passenger. Another small issue is switching from conversation mode to radio and back, as it takes a little longer. When you're alone on the motorcycle, you press the small button to open it and then the big button with the phone to select the device's radio. If you accidentally press the small button to select the radio, it thinks you're trying to talk to the other helmet and keeps trying to connect to it, but it can't find it because you're alone. At some point, it stops searching and returns to the initial state, so you press the correct button, the big one, and go back to the radio. Imagine driving and this happens without being able to see what the screen says, and you think you broke it. Finally, the instructions need improvement, and there is no explanation of the symbols on the screen. THAT'S IT! Today I went alone to Monemvasia. I didn't have a mobile phone signal, so I can't give an opinion on that, but from the music, I could hear something on the radio up to 100 at most, with maximum volume because there was a lot of noise from the air. If I somehow closed the gaps from the bottom part of the helmet, then there was a dramatic difference. I tried it simply by lifting my shoulders, but it's not possible. Maybe in winter with a neck warmer, it will work. However, I would like to know what happens with other brands because unfortunately, money plays a big role.
