It's pure silicone. There are cheap serums that do not have silicone as a third ingredient. And they're terrible. It's hard and it slips out of my hand if it's not completely dry.

The pump broke after the first uses and wouldn't go up unless you lifted it yourself and compared to the equivalent foam from frezyderm, this one is much harsher on my skin.
