Whatever I say is not enough! I think right now, besides the Valve Index which costs much more, there is no competition for the Quest. Especially with the new features they constantly add, like hand-tracking, airlink that allows you to play PCVR games wirelessly.

I've had it for just under a year now, and I use it standalone and I can say it's an amazing tool. I didn't have any other VR headset so I can't compare where it's better or worse, but I compare it to my expectations from VR :)

The image seemed excellent right away. The lens must be in a good position in front of your eye so it doesn't blur, and it took me months to find the right way to wear it. The limited FOV doesn't bother me at all, while I expected it to disappoint me. I don't like the black levels of the screen (especially when it's in supposed darkness). You can watch movies on a "cinematic-sized screen" with a resolution slightly higher than fullHD - If it wasn't tiring to have your head constantly in a helmet (and completely anti-social), I would prefer it every time over my 49" fullHD TV. Not from a regular cinema of course. As it is though, I use both VR and TV alternately - TV series/movies on the TV, and movies that I know were made for a big screen in VR.

The controller tracking is very good (I use it for sculpting) and the device is quite light. Unfortunately, the "free" headstrap is not comfortable - it's just straps (the only advantage is that because it's fabric, you can watch VR lying in bed without plastic sticking to your head). Hand-tracking (where it transfers your hands and movements into the virtual world a la Minority Report) is amazing when you want to do simple manipulations (a little browsing, watch a movie, a video, etc.) and you're too lazy to take the controllers out of the drawer. However, it's not as accurate as the controllers, so it's still too early to say that you don't need controllers.

The graphics (if you use it as a standalone device and not connected to your computer) are from the 2007 era - its processor is a "mobile" processor after all and runs on android. The 64GB is more than enough!

The construction is quite good. It's good to buy another headstrap that is more comfortable though. At first, it requires attention because if you're not familiar with it, it can cause nausea. It took me months to overcome it and it required small steps.

With the research for a new fan for my new apartment, I decided to help other buyers and share my experience with the fan I have had for the past 3 years:
It is by far the best fan in our house (we have 3).
In a 10-square-meter room on the first setting, it is completely silent and the air flow is gentle/discreet - the low setting is indeed low. On the third setting, on the other hand, I found it to create annoyingly strong airflow and the noise also bothered me (but that was the noise from the blades and personally, it bothers me if there is a computer on in the bedroom, so you can't really call it a lot of noise). It has a nice transition from setting to setting. With other fans, all the settings are pretty much the same.

However, I never had a reason to use it beyond the first setting. 3 years later, in the heatwave of 2021 (40-45°C for a week) and without air conditioning, I have it on the third setting, and I wish it had a fourth.

It wobbles a bit after all these years, but that's a balance issue. In the next fan, I would like to have the same low setting as this one, the same noise levels, optionally a higher maximum setting, and to have a remote control since I don't like getting up in the middle of the night and searching for the cord in the dark to change the setting or turn it off.

It is cute for its price. I have never tried a smart or RGB bulb before, so I don't know what the competition is like.

On the positive side, it has very easy connectivity - it worked with the app very easily and has nice settings such as a timer or trying to mimic the color temperature of the sun at a specific time of day in a specific geographical area.

On the negative side, its warm colors like yellow (orange/red) are not good (it has a tendency towards green in general). Even in "white" mode, it is not comfortable to use for reading/viewing and the printed colors do not appear correctly - they look dull. It definitely does not convince me that it has CRI80 - it is much worse than the already bad commercial bulbs.

I don't believe that I will use it to replace any functional/lighting purposes, but I think it will work for decorative lighting!

12-24 months later: the above still holds true, meaning it is only suitable for decorative lighting, and even then, you might stumble upon it. Don't even think about using it for reading or work. During this time, I really enjoy how it aesthetically enhances my space, and since there aren't many at its price, I just bought a second one. I should note that 2-3 times it lost its settings and I had to pair it again. I also had problems when trying to control it simultaneously from my phone and tablet. I solved it by uninstalling the app from the tablet.

The biggest issue with the bulb is that after power outages (which happen frequently here), the bulbs turn on, causing you to wake up in the middle of the night because of the light (and of course, if you're not home, they will remain on until you return to turn them off). Unfortunately, there is no option to change this behavior.

Θα ξεκινήσω λέγοντας πως το αγόρασα γιατί έψαχνα ενα αξιόπιστο tv box που να είναι πολύ εύχρηστο μιας και προορίζεται για χρήση απο τους 70χρονους γονείς μου, β) να έχει ενα σωστό browser ώστε να κάνω streaming θεατρικών παραστάσεων, γ) να έχει καλή υποστήριξη για PLEX δ) να μπορώ να κάνω casting απο το youtube app του κινητού και τέλος ήλπιζα πως θα ήταν πιο πιθανό απο άλλες συσκευές να ε) είναι συμβατό με chromecast και airplay (για να κάνω streaming το Oculus Quest2 και τις apple συσκευές μου αντίστοιχα).

Συνοπτικά, το αγόρασα για να σιγουρευθώ πως κάνει πολλά απο αυτά που θέλω και να μπορώ να το παραμετροποιήσω σε περίπτωση που out-of-the-box δεν ήταν σε θέση να τα κάνει όλα. Δυστυχώς ακόμα και με παραμετροποιήσεις πολλά απ'αυτά που είχα ως στανταράκια δεν δουλεύουν αξιόπιστα. Σε αυτή την φάση πιστεύω πως ότι tv box και να αγόραζα δεν θα ήταν πολύ χειρότερο απ'το συγκεκριμένο.

Η έκδοση που παρέλαβα υποψιάζομαι πως είναι της αμερικανικής αγοράς (κρίνοντας απ'το βύσμα του φορτιστή) και οι υπηρεσίες της amazon δεν δουλέψαν - (τοσο το prime όσο και το δωρεαν imdbtv) - μόνο το amazon music δούλεψε (τουλάχιστον στο free mode του) και το app store (χωρις να δοκιμάσω να κάνω κάποια αγορά όμως).

Η alexa δούλεψε αλλά είναι μόνο στα αγγλικά, ενώ το πληκτρολόγιο είναι επίσης μόνο στα αγγλικά. Όχι πως περίμενα κάτι άλλο, αλλά το επισημαίνω. Το youtube όμως είναι και στα ελληνικά (με ελληνικό πληκτρολόγιο). Η εφαρμογή remote για το κινητό είναι πολύ δύσχρηστη, αλλά έχει ελληνικό πληκτρολόγιο. Για την ώρα ο μόνος τρόπος που κατάφερα να βρώ για να στέλνω urls, είναι να βάλω firefox τόσο στο stick όσο και στον υπολογιστή και να ενεργοποιήσω το firefox sync.

Δεδομένου πως όλο το UI του fire tv stick 4k είναι ενα τεράστιο (και όμορφο) διαφημιστικό της άμαζον, και δεδομένου πως δεν είχα τρόπο να αξιοποιήσω τίποτα απ'όλα αυτά, επέλεξα να βάλω ενα custom launcher (wolf) για να απλοποιήσω το περιβάλλον. Οι οδηγίες που ακολούθησα για να κάνω τον wolf launcher να ξεκινάει παντά, δουλεύουν καλά, αλλά ως αποτέλεσμα η alexa δεν εμφανίζει αποτελέσματα στις αναζητήσεις, ούτε το amazon app store δουλεύει ούτε τα settings. Ίσως υπάρχουν άλλοι τρόποι καλύτεροι, αλλά όπως φαίνεται η διαδικασία ξεκλειδώματος δεν είναι τόσο απλή και δεν υπάρχει "βέλτιστη λύση" χωρίς θυσίες.

Το casting στο youtube app είναι hit or miss τόσο από τα 2 android τηλέφωνα που χρησιμοποιούμε στο σπίτι όσο και στις 3 apple συσκευές... χρειάζεται αρκετές προσπάθειες για να συνδεθεί και όταν συνδέεται ξεκινάει να παίζει το τελευταίο βίντεο που είχες ανοίξει στο youtube της τηλεόρασης και όχι αυτό που έπαιζε το κινητό όταν έκανες αίτημα casting.

Ο plex client δουλεύει υπέροχα, πολύ σταθερό ως τώρα - ήταν μια έκπληξη.

Ο firefox είναι μια χαρά, όπως επίσης και ο silk (αν και χωρίς εξωτερικό πληκτρολόγιο, δύσκολο να κάνεις τίποτα)
Το ertflix είναι πολύ δύχρηστο και στο fire tv stick είναι ακόμα χειρότερο, αλλά μπορεις να δεις.

Το Airscreen δεν κάνει airplay σύνδεση με συσκευές iOS12, iOS13 ή iOS14 αλλά συνδέεται με τον mac 10ετίας, ενώ το built-in casting feature του fire stick δουλεύει με windows 10, και miracast (samsung κινητό). Δεν κατάφερα να κάνω άλλη εφαρμογή casting να δουλέψει.

Είναι αρκετά γρήγορο και το χειριστήριο είναι καλοφτιαγμένο.

Exactly two years later (just after the warranty expired), the covers of both earphones came off. From what I can see, this is a common phenomenon (both with these and with the wired version). I use them minimally and I don't expose them to heat, so their adhesive is probably not good. The final assessment is that although they are comfortable and seem well-made, they don't last long. They are satisfactory for music, but as hands-free devices, they don't work because everyone complains that they can't hear me (a complaint I have also read from many others). I wouldn't buy them again for sure, even though I really like their design and they remind me of Apple's earpods.

After 2-3 months of use, I lower the rating from 3 to 1 star. The reason?
During calls, I can't hear others loudly, and others can't hear me well either, even though the call quality is still very "dry," resulting in us always ending up either using the phone's speaker or my now broken wired Apple earpods. The problem applies to calls on my iMac (Skype, Zoom, etc.) as well as on my mobile phone (Samsung A5 2017).
So, they may be durable as headphones for music, but they are useless as hands-free devices. Hence the 1 star. The battery life is also very poor. Other than that, my previous review, which I quote below, still stands:

This is the first time I have bought Bluetooth earphones, and to be honest, I am disappointed.
Their sound is not ultimately better than my 5-year-old worn-out earpods, which I replaced, but it's close.

Positives:
+ They are earbuds of the same size and shape as the earpods - if the earpods fit you in size, these will fit you too.
+ Nice appearance
+ Flat cable and relatively short - I imagine they won't tangle in my pocket.
+ The sound is not much worse than Apple's earpods and is definitely better than the headphones provided by Samsung, Huawei in the box with your new mobile phone.
+ Once paired with a device, they connect immediately when turned on.
+ You don't lose contact with the environment (no isolation - which is good for me)

Negatives:
+ They only pair with one device at a time and don't remember previous ones. They also don't have multipoint. Want to listen to music on your phone? Turn off the earphones, put them in pairing mode, and pair them from your phone. Want to connect them to your computer now to use Skype? Disable the earphones, put them in pair mode again, go to your computer, scan for Bluetooth devices, and request pairing again. Want to go for a walk and listen to music? Let's start over, pair them with your phone again. For me, who was used to plugging in the minijack from one device to another and having it play immediately, this process has frustrated me.
+ Battery life is only 6 hours, and poof, another device you have to remember to charge! This is not a problem specific to this Bluetooth device, but generally with Bluetooth devices.
+ They do not have a magnet to hold them around your neck, but a very inconvenient clip - I will lose them one day if I continue to put them around my neck, I can feel it.
+ They scrape the inside of your ear somewhat (due to the many parts and sharp edges) compared to earpods.
+ You cannot activate Google Assistant from the headphones ("hey Google").
+ The volume buttons + and - (also previous/next track) are really ergonomically unfriendly - you cannot tell where they are by touch and you have to press them with your nail.
+ It does not have noise cancellation for street/air noise (I don't know if any have it, of course).
+ Even at half a meter from the computer, motionless, it occasionally has small sound interruptions. It is not significant but I thought I would mention it.

Perhaps I am more disappointed with Bluetooth headphones as a replacement for wired ones, rather than specifically with these JBL ones.
