The damage also has to do with the way you pass it through your hair, for example, the heat (I use 180) and how many passes you make, and how quickly. It also matters from which point you hold it (front or back, because you put more pressure on the hair when you hold it in the front). The damage is less than what I had with a regular steam iron. You should wash it properly and not with commercial shampoo and moisturize it well once a week. It requires attention because incorrect use brings negative results. 4 stars because the price should be more affordable.

It doesn't leave any greasiness, absorbs easily, and hydrates wonderfully... It doesn't have any scent at all... Maybe one of the best...
