In my case, and with the limitations of my devices, I saw speeds around 500Mb/sec. The fact that it is relatively stiff is due to its shielding and its ability to provide 3A of current. It may be somewhat inconvenient to carry and store, but it can in no way be considered a disadvantage. Thin and flexible cables do not withstand the currents that this one can handle, nor do they have the shielding required for true USB 3.0 speeds.

It does its job very well. The compatibility with both SATA and NVMe drives is an important feature for those of us who need it. The use of the UASP protocol ensures proper management of the drive by the operating system to which it will be connected. It is compact and lightweight yet sturdy at the same time. Quite easy to install the drive and to use. However, the cables that come with it are actually USB 2.0 specifications. With those, the transfer speeds did not exceed 40Mb/sec. In fact, I wondered if the whole device was problematic. Fortunately, using another, real USB 3.0 cable that I had available, I achieved speeds in the range of 500Mb/sec. However, this increases the actual cost of the product.
