Two weeks ago, the Izzy IZ-8225 air fryer arrived in my kitchen, which was recently released, and of course, I immediately started cooking to get to know it! So, let's see my evaluation of Izzy's new proposal for an air fryer with a very large basket!
First impression
The Izzy IZ-8225 is a large device, perhaps the largest air fryer I have seen up close. Opening the box, we find the device inside, with the huge 10-liter basket. It has a divider so that the basket can be converted into two smaller ones of 5 liters each for independent cooking, and a removable grill at the bottom. Both have silicone feet to fit properly. The dimensions of the basket inside are 33x23cm and the height is 11cm.
Inside, there are two heating elements, one for each basket, with a total power of 2600 Watts. The times and temperatures can be adjusted independently, but of course, it can also be used as a whole for larger quantities or large ingredients, such as a whole chicken or baking dishes.
The basket has windows on each side so you can monitor the inside, as well as a separate light for each.
In the front, the large touch screen dominates. There are 8 preset programs for convenience, screens for time and temperature for each side, and two large buttons for the Smart Finish and Match Cook options.
What do these options do? With Smart Finish, the cooking on both sides is synchronized so that they finish at the same time, provided they have different cooking times, while with Match Cook, the whole basket functions as a whole (or with the divider for two foods that require the same cooking), with both heating elements reaching the same temperature and time.
The temperature can be adjusted from 80 to 200°C, and the maximum time that can be set is 60 minutes. With the Izzy IZ-8225 air fryer, you can also dehydrate fruits.
The cable is 1 meter long and can be wrapped around the two hooks at the back for easy storage and transportation.
Together with the air fryer, the user manual is included, as well as a booklet with recipes and suggestions, and 30 disposable non-stick paper discs.
Tests
As always, the tests included cooking various different ingredients, in order to have a complete picture of its capabilities and results.
It goes without saying that the final result always depends on the size and quantity of each ingredient and the desired cooking level, so the times mentioned in recipes or in the user manual are indicative. Before each use, I preheated the air fryer using the default program for about 10 minutes.
The Izzy IZ-8225 air fryer performed very well in all cooking tests, and the user experience was flawless.
Steaks and chicken:
To cover the whole range of meats, I cooked chicken breast, pork steaks, and beef fillet. By adjusting the cooking times to my personal preference, the result was properly cooked meat, juicy on the inside, in all cases.
French fries:
Thin frozen fries were ready in 20 minutes at 180 degrees, with the addition of a little olive oil or vegetable oil, crispy and golden.
Fresh fries with the same preparation required a little more time and temperature, 25-30 minutes (depending on the thickness) at 190 degrees, also crispy and golden.
Grilled vegetables:
A new favorite combination for vegetable side dishes with some meat or even on their own is broccoli, sweet potato, and zucchini. Here, a little attention and plenty of oil were needed to prevent the broccoli from burning, but after 2-3 tries all the vegetables came out baked and soft.
Salmon fillet:
Salmon fillet is delicate and requires careful attention to prevent it from drying out or breaking. Cooked at 180 degrees for 7-8 minutes using the parchment paper-lined baking trays that came with the packaging, it turned out nice and juicy.
Burgers:
After a little experimentation, 6 large and thick beef burgers were cooked properly at 180 degrees for 40 minutes, 20 on each side. They came out nicely caramelized on the outside and sufficiently cooked on the inside.
As usual, I also tried other ingredients such as breaded chicken nuggets, frozen puff pastries, sausages, all with success.
I should mention that during operation, the noise produced is quite low and discreet, something that I will put in the positive aspects, as it is important for some people.
The only somewhat negative aspect I find in the whole user experience is that unlike single baskets or models with 2 separate baskets, you essentially lose the ability to mix the ingredients in the middle of cooking, such as with fried potatoes for example, if you are cooking simultaneously. The food in the second basket will inevitably move, so stirring must be done with tongs.
Final Impressions
So let's summarize: The Izzy IZ-8225 air fryer cooks as it should, has a huge basket that can be divided, and is priced around 150€, a fairly satisfactory price compared to models with similar characteristics and more.
Is it for you? If you want an air fryer with a very large basket for a family of 3-4 people or you want to have plenty of space for your cooking creations, then yes.
It likely has one of the largest single baskets on the market and gives you the ability to divide it. For me, this is a big yes.
Of course, as I always say, such large baskets may make it difficult for those with small sinks to wash. Even in the dishwasher, it will take up a lot of space. I'm not saying this as a negative in any way, it's just something to consider.
Excellent choice, purchased to cover the needs of the new Samsung Galaxy S24+, which does not come with a charger in the package (only with a cable).
The charging time is perfect, less than an hour to reach 100% battery from 10-15%. It delivers the promised W!
The category of air fryers continues to grow rapidly with new models, and Rohnson, while having some of its models at the top of the market, has released another one, the Rohnson R-2858 SmartChef XL 2 Soft Cooking air fryer, which will probably follow the same successful path.
I have had it for a few months now, I have made many different foods and recipes, and this will be a review but also a comparison with the similar best-selling model, the Rohnson R-2834 SmartChef XL.
First impression
From the image alone on the box, I knew beforehand what it would contain and how the device would be. The size, the design, and the large 8-liter square basket of the R-2858 are identical to the R-2834.
The basket is seamless without a basket that we find in other fryers, but it has a perforated rack with silicone edges to fit into the special points on the bottom. Both have a non-stick coating and can be washed in the dishwasher. And here we find the double (plastic) SmartView window at the bottom of the basket, from which you can monitor the food inside.
On the front, there is a large upgraded LED touch screen where all the necessary settings are made, and on the top, there are printed indicative combinations of temperature/time for basic cooking recipes. The cable is 1m long.
The temperature can be adjusted from 80 to 200°C, the maximum time that can be set is 60 minutes, and from the touch screen, you can choose one of the 8 preset programs, in which you can modify the time and temperature. An exception to the times and duration of use is the fruit drying function, with a range of 30 to 80°C and a duration of 2 to 24 hours.
And of course, the great feature of the R-2858 is the Soft Cooking function! On the top, there is a small detachable container with a capacity of 200ml, where water is placed. If the function is selected or if it is in one of the preset programs, the device will periodically spray water inside the basket, which makes the meat juicier on the inside and less burnt on the outside.
It goes without saying that the Rohnson R-2858 SmartChef XL 2 Soft Cook is connected to the Rohnson App via WiFi, from which you can program and operate the air fryer remotely, as well as make some of the dozens of available recipes. All the recipes include ingredients, quantities, steps, and all you have to do is put the ingredients in the basket and press start, as the temperature and time are taken care of.
Differences and similarities between R-2858 and R-2834
As I said at the beginning, the R-2858 is called SmartChef XL 2, which means it has some connection and is in some way the successor to the R-2834 SmartChef XL. Their similarities are many and are as follows:
• Size and design
• Power of 1800W
• Temperature range of 80 to 200°C
• Cooking time of 60 minutes
• Same basket and capacity of 8 liters
• SmartView window and light inside
Now, for their differences, the first and most important one is, of course, the Soft Cooking function.
There are 8 preset programs, including the fruit drying function. Also, the LED screen seems upgraded to me, with better display and faster response.
An indifferent upgrade is the exterior of the R-2858, which unlike its predecessor is not glossy black but rather matte, somewhat like suede, which means fewer fingerprints, dust, and oils marks.
The basket and grill may be the same in both devices, but for some reason the R-2858 lacks the notches inside that allow the grill to stand in the middle of the basket. Although I usually don't use the middle tray and almost never cook two different foods that require the two levels, I am surprised that this option is not available. Perhaps for the better functioning of Soft Cooking and the distribution of water during spraying, more free space is required from the top to the food.
Tests
Since the basic features that affect cooking and performance (without the Soft Cooking function) are the same, I repeated the cooking of several dishes that I had prepared with the Rohnson R-2834 air fryer in the previous review. And the results were almost the same, meaning excellent performance and success, considering that there are differences in the quality of materials, weight, and other factors.
In summary:
Burgers - Rosy red and caramelized on the outside, and soft and adequately cooked on the inside.
French fries: With the addition of a spoonful of olive oil, the result was extremely well-cooked and crispy. For the fresh ones, they came out of the basket crispy and golden on the outside and soft on the inside.
Whole chicken: The chicken was crispy on the outside and the meat was cooked as it should be, without drying out, with a golden and crispy skin.
Grilled vegetables: In 10-15 minutes, you have a very nice healthy side dish for meat or even on their own.
I also grilled, with very good results, baby potatoes with herbs, frozen chicken nuggets and fish croquettes, salmon fillet, sausages, and even toast!
Soft Cooking function
With the activation of the Soft Cooking function of the Rohnson R-2858, meats such as pork chops, chicken breast, beef burgers, and salmon fillet were indeed juicier on the inside due to the extra moisture.
At the same time and temperature as Soft Cooking, their exterior was less dry compared to when the function was not activated or compared to the R-2834. This is perfectly logical. For my taste, I simply completed the cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes at 200°C.
Also, the presence of steam seems to affect how fats are dried, or rather, how they are not dried so much in the basket and grill, making cleaning slightly easier!
Final Impressions
The Rohnson R-2858 SmartChef XL 2 Soft Cooking air fryer has come to add an interesting new feature to an already saturated category, in which its predecessor (R-2834) has been a best seller for months.
Of course, if you already have the R-2834, there is no rush to replace it just for the Soft Cooking function, as it is already an excellent device.
Otherwise, if you are looking for an upgrade or replacement option, or even to enter the world of air fryers, at the current price of €160 in the market, this is an air fryer that you should not miss.
It can be used without any problem for everyday cooking for a family of 3-4 people, as it can hold a sufficient amount of food.
Any possible inaccuracies in some dishes are due to the general rule that you must follow in every air fryer regarding cooking times and temperatures, as the ingredients differ in size, origin, and other factors.
Despite the 8 whole liters of the basket, the device remains at a reasonable size and can fit in most kitchens and cabinets without any problem.
Of course, just like in the R-2834, such a large basket has some difficulties when it comes to washing, especially in smaller sinks. Even in the dishwasher, some compromises will have to be made to fit properly. This obviously is not in any way a negative thing, as it serves the most comfortable and easy cooking. Think about how much bigger a baking dish or a pot is. In any case, if your space is limited, it is something you should consider.
Opening the box, we obviously find the glass jug with a capacity of 1.75 liters, which according to the manufacturer will not fog up or scratch from any hard materials. The jug locks onto the base to prevent accidents.
It has a lid with a rubber seal to keep everything inside the jug and also a lock. On the top, there is a detachable small 40 ml dispenser.
The blades are quadruple and made of stainless steel. The bottom of the jug unscrews for easier cleaning of the blades and the interior.
The base is sturdy with an inox casing and houses the 1400 Watt motor.
In addition to the dial with the 28 operating speeds, there is a pulse function and special buttons for ice crushing, smoothie making, and automatic cleaning. At the bottom, there are 4 non-slip feet.
TESTS
So, what did I make to test the capabilities of the IQ BL-415 blender? Many different things!
1. Ice crushing
Starting with the "easy" task, there was absolutely no problem and the ice became as fine or coarse as I wanted, depending on the speed and time. The manufacturer suggests adding a little water with the dispenser for better results, but I didn't see any difference. With the crushed ice, I enjoyed a refreshing daiquiri and Brazilian lemonade!
2. Smoothie
I used frozen red fruits, milk, yogurt, and banana, and the result was an extremely tasty and refreshing drink without any chunks. The blending with the special button for smoothies was done perfectly.
3. Hummus
The chickpeas, tahini, and other ingredients mixed very well, and the hummus came out delicious with the right texture.
4. Velvety soup
I didn't expect any problem with blending and melting cooked pumpkin and carrot. The result was a velvety soup.
5. Pancakes
I poured liquids and solids into the jug, ran it for 1-2 minutes at medium speed, and the pancake batter in the blender was ready! Slightly easier and more effortless than mixing by hand! I also made peanut butter with roasted peanuts, mayonnaise, and various other smoothies.
FINAL IMPRESSIONS
Overall, the IQ BL-415 blender had no difficulty in any of the tests and tasks. The ingredients mixed, chopped, and crushed as they should, most of the time without requiring the highest speeds.
I would only have liked the package to include a special rod for stirring when some ingredients stick or need a little help. It is something that happens with most blenders, and the presence of this tool is appreciated. Also, I don't see the reason for having 28 speeds, which is not necessarily a negative thing, but I have encountered it in several other models from different manufacturers. I never needed such precision in any preparation with a blender.
At 70-80€ and compared to blenders of similar category and features, it seems and is an attractive choice.
Excellent value for money for NVME on PCI Express 4, from a reliable manufacturer. I look forward to seeing its performance over time. I will probably buy another one because space is never enough and it feels lonely too!
Quite a good price for its features. I would like more USB ports, SATA ports, and USB-C ports, but this reflects the cost. The only downside during installation is the only 3 fan headers and the extremely strange and inconvenient layout they are located in! One header is at the bottom, the other next to the CPU, and the third one is on the top left where the power for the CPU is connected, which is the worst position for any motherboard. I can't understand the reasoning behind it. Since I have 4 fans, I will get a small hub. And the SATA ports are not concentrated in the same place. Overall satisfied, I got it out of necessity due to cost and speed.
Unboxing:
The box of the Rohnson Mamba M8 Pro is large and includes, of course, the vacuum cleaner, the handle, the motorized floor brush with two brushes, the motorized mini brush for pets, the two nozzles, the metal tube, the battery, the charger, and the wall mount.
The construction of the vacuum cleaner and its accessories is of high quality, made with very good materials.
The 560 Watt motor and the 125,000 RPM are digital BLDC, and as the manufacturer claims, they maintain a constant power and suction of the vacuum cleaner, regardless of the amount of dust and the type of surface it cleans.
On the handle, there is the on/off button and the options for the floor type and intensity, in three levels, which are displayed as indicators on the small screen, along with the battery level.
With 32V and a capacity of 2,500mAh, the lithium battery promises up to 60 minutes of autonomy in Eco Mode, while the charging time is 6-7 hours for a full charge.
The dustbin has a capacity of 1 liter and can be emptied with the press of a button without coming into contact with the contents. It is removable and can be broken into pieces for necessary cleaning.
The Rohnson Mamba M8 Pro stick vacuum cleaner has a HEPA dust filter and 3 additional filters to trap a high percentage of dust, all washable for better hygiene.
The hose is foldable and can be bent with a single motion to clean under low furniture and spaces without bending.
The motorized floor brush is suitable for all types of floors and has two brushes, a soft one for floors and one for carpets and rugs. They are easily removable from the brush and washable. Finally, the mini motorized brush for pet hair and sofas also has a removable brush.
Testing:
So, how was the performance and user experience of the Rohnson Mamba M8 Pro stick vacuum cleaner for 3 weeks at home?
I will start with something that usually receives less attention than it should in vacuum cleaners, and that is the quality and ease of maneuvering of the brush and the vacuum cleaner in general. The brush glides smoothly on the floor, turns almost 90 degrees, and follows the movement and direction you set with exceptional ease. Oh, and the large brush also has LED lights, which obviously is not a solution for cleaning in the dark but occasionally helps to make some particles visible.
As for the performance, it pleasantly surprised me! I did not expect the cleaning to be so effective in Eco Mode, which is the lowest speed setting. Overall, I mainly used it on the medium setting without encountering any problems. For more stubborn stains, a few seconds on Max setting were enough, followed by a return to the medium setting.
The vacuum cleaner did not get stuck anywhere and a single pass was enough to easily collect stains, dust, and debris from tiles, parquet, marble, as well as from the two different carpets I currently have.
The handle of the vacuum cleaner is in a G shape and can be held either from the front or from the top. I found it more convenient to hold it from the front, but after a while, due to its weight, it can strain the hand a bit, so I made a small change to the top part, especially if the brush did not need to maneuver.
As expected with any battery-powered device, the manufacturer's autonomy times are not maintained at 100% as they are tests under ideal conditions, but they come quite close to 50-55 minutes in Eco Mode and 20 minutes in Middle Mode on bare floors. In a medium combined cleaning cycle of 40 minutes, I managed to do one pass in approximately 100 square meters of relatively clean house that was cleaned with the Rohnson Mamba M8 Pro stick vacuum every 3-4 days. I should mention that in my space there are two uncontrolled children and two cats! Of course, the battery is removable and theoretically you can have one (or as many as you want) additional battery for uninterrupted use if it is something that would make you happy.
The noise level in the three operating modes is as expected, with the Eco Mode being quite discreet and the Max Mode naturally noisy. Generally, I personally don't pay much attention to the noise of cleaning devices, it is something expected. Of course, nowadays most vacuums maintain the noise level at acceptable levels compared to twenty years ago, but of course, I will appreciate a vacuum with low decibels.
The use of the foldable hose, although convenient and useful in most cases, significantly reduces the freedom of movement of the foot and you will have to settle for forward and backward, which is usually enough but not always ideal.
As for the mini motorized brush, no surprises there either, it effectively cleans sofas from pet hair, crumbs, and anything else that happens to fall on the furniture. It is equally effective on car seats and floor mats.
The dustbin empties satisfactorily with a movement over the trash bin and the filters can be removed for periodic cleaning. And depending on what you are vacuuming, you will need to wash or clean the dustbin as well.
And as a general observation, all the attachments snap on and off without any problem or difficulty. I mention this because it is not always obvious.
Final Impressions:
Is it worth getting the Rohnson Mamba M8 Pro stick vacuum or at least including it in your options? Definitely yes. It is powerful, has good autonomy, comes with strong features, and is of good quality. It will be an excellent ally in the general cleaning of the house or if you are not yet convinced that a stick vacuum can replace the traditional one, the convenience and speed it offers will not let you ignore it in your everyday life.
Unfortunately, the convenience offered by the large dustbin and battery comes at the cost of the increased weight of the device, which may tire your hand during floor cleaning with the stick but mainly when using it as a handheld vacuum, compared to other competitive and non-competitive models.
In any case, based on the price of €270 and its features compared to the competition, it remains definitely a very good choice as an alternative solution for easy, fast, and effective house cleaning!
After several liters of milk that turned into frothed milk in various preparations, let's see the pros (but also the cons) of this milk frother device.
First impressions
Inside the packaging of the Gruppe MK5002 milk frother, you will find the device itself in black color, the lid, the base, the stirring tool, and the user manual.
The device is quite high-quality, more than I would expect for €40. It has a handle for greater convenience, something that you would generally expect all milk frothing devices to have, but no, something that Nespresso remembered to add to the Aeroccino after a decade.
At the bottom of the device, there are the function selection buttons and the On/off button, with the necessary indicators and lighting. It has 4 functions, for hot and rich foam, for hot and thin foam, only heating without foam, and only foam without heating, meaning cold frothed milk.
Inside the jug, there are indicators for maximum and minimum capacity, which are 300ml maximum for milk heating and 150ml and 75ml maximum and minimum for frothed milk, respectively. There is also the slot for the stirring whisk.
There is no removable jug, so cleaning should be done with care. Obviously, it cannot be put in the dishwasher.
The base is rotatable 360 degrees with a 90 cm long cable. The preparation can be done with or without the use of the lid.
The preparation takes 90 seconds, a normal time, neither too fast nor too slow. I don't know how important this is and how much difference it will make to the user, whether it takes 10 seconds more or less.
Testing
I tried to make as many different milk frothing preparations as I could, with the most common types of milk that most people use at home, namely whole milk, low-fat milk, and evaporated milk.
The tests were done with quantities of 75, 120, and 150ml of milk for milk frothing, with more or less the same results. I note that I found 120ml to be the ideal quantity for most common drinks.
Hot frothed milk: In both functions, that is, with rich foam and with thin foam, the results were very good. The device prepared the frothed milk as it should, ideally with whole milk and evaporated milk (50% milk and 50% water).
Cold frothed milk for freddo cappuccino: Thick and creamy, the frothed milk for cold drinks, in most cases for the average user, that is, for freddo cappuccino, was excellent. I achieved the best result with low-fat milk and evaporated milk (50% milk and 50% water).
Milk heating: No problem with heating the milk. The milk heated up sufficiently without burning, and in my test with powdered chocolate, the result was as expected. The chocolate dissolved quickly in the milk, and the drink was at the right temperature. Perhaps here is where the limitation of the maximum quantity of 300ml is evident, depending on the need, more milk may be needed for a richer portion.
In most milk frothing devices, the best results for hot frothed milk are achieved with whole milk, while for cold frothed milk, low-fat milk is preferred.
Final impressions
There are similar devices on the market with larger and much larger capacities of 500, 600, 700+ ml, so the final choice depends on the needs of each user. In the case of the Gruppe MK5002, 150ml is enough for 1-2 cappuccinos, which I consider reasonable for the average user.
One, let's say negative, of this particular device for users with large palms like myself, is a small relative difficulty in fitting the hand inside the jug for removal and especially for applying the stirring wing, which is not magnetic like the Nespresso Aeroccino (or other devices that I am not familiar with) and needs to be attached to the plastic receptacle.
In any case, the result in all preparations is excellent and in the price range of around €40, I could highly recommend it to those who have a capsule machine without a built-in milk frother, even to owners of automatic/semi-automatic espresso machines who do not want to go through the trouble of preparing milk froth with the steam wand, something that requires a lot of practice. And between us, when you go for such a solution, you are more interested in convenience, speed, and the final result, something that the Gruppe MK5002 does very well.
Currently, the competition in the air fryer category is huge, with hundreds of different models and price ranges, so I tried a best-selling model on the market, the Rohnson R-2834 SmartChef XL air fryer, which falls into the category of 6 liters and above.
I tried the Rohnson R-2834 air fryer for 10 days, making many different dishes and recipes, so let's see how this review went!
Opening the package, you can tell from the beginning that the Rohnson R-2834 air fryer is serious about its capacity, as while it may not be much larger than the average fryer, the large 8-liter basket immediately shows its teeth!
The basket is single without a basket like other fryers, but it has a perforated rack that can be placed at two different heights, depending on the food or recipe you need to cook. Both have a non-stick coating and can be washed in the dishwasher.
An excellent feature is the double (plastic) SmartView window at the bottom of the basket, through which you can monitor the food inside.
On the front, there is a large touch LED screen where all the necessary settings are made.
On the top, there are printed some temperature/time combinations for basic cooking recipes. The cable is 1m long.
The temperature can be adjusted from 80 to 200°C, and the maximum time that can be set is 60 minutes. From the touch screen, you can choose one of the 6 preset programs, in which you can modify the time and temperature.
Of course, one of the great advantages of the Rohnson R-2834 (besides the huge basket) is the connection with the Rohnson App, through which you can program and operate the air fryer remotely, as well as make some of the dozens of available recipes. All the recipes include ingredients, quantities, and steps, and all you have to do is put the ingredients in the basket and press start, as the temperature and time are taken care of.
Testing
The tests lasted for 10 days, and I made over 20 different dishes to see the real capabilities and results offered by the Rohnson R-2834 air fryer.
Burgers:
I put 4 large and thick beef burgers in the basket. They were cooked at 200 degrees for 20 minutes, 10 on each side. And I can say that it is the best cooking of burgers that I have personally achieved. They were rosy and caramelized on the outside, and soft and sufficiently cooked on the inside!
French fries:
For the pre-fried fries, I did an initial test without any oil, which, although ready in just 15 minutes at 185 degrees, were dry and slightly overcooked. With the addition of a tablespoon of olive oil, in the same time, the result of the repeat test was extremely well-cooked and crispy fries.
For the fresh ones, I initially followed the same recipe, and I was not disappointed. Like the pre-fried ones, the fresh ones came out of the basket crispy and golden on the outside and soft on the inside.
In both cases, halfway through the cooking time, the notification for the necessary shake was triggered.
Whole chicken:
Obviously, with an 8-liter basket that can fit a whole 2-kilogram chicken, the challenge I took with the Rohnson air fryer was big. I found some recipes online and ended up starting at 165 degrees for a total of 60 minutes, 45 with the breast side up and then flipping it for the last 15. The chicken was marinated with a mixture of olive oil, plenty of salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and powdered garlic. At the 45-minute mark when I flipped it, the skin was crispy and golden. 20 minutes later, I took it out for the final test! The chicken was crispy on the outside and the meat was cooked perfectly, without drying out.
Steaks:
Pork neck and rib steaks, as well as beef steaks, cooked perfectly in minimal time (depending on thickness and size). The basket comfortably fits 2 large steaks or 3 smaller ones, and the result is not disappointing.
Grilled vegetables:
The combination of sweet potato, zucchini, and carrot, although requiring slightly different cooking times and temperatures, turned out nice and tender, just right for a quick side dish in 10 minutes, cooked in the basket right after the steaks.
I also grilled baby potatoes with herbs, frozen chicken nuggets and fish croquettes, salmon fillet, baby potatoes, sausages, and even toast, all with very good results!
General observations? Firstly, the sound that indicates the end of cooking time or the need to shake the basket could be a bit more discreet, but I suppose this is done for noise reasons in a household. Additionally, in foods that are cut into small or elongated pieces, such as potatoes, some pieces escaped through the two holes in the grill into the basket during shaking, but again, this is a design choice so that you can remove them easily.
Final impressions:
Let's start from the beginning. The Rohnson R-2834 air fryer currently costs around €150. It is a bestseller in one of the hottest and most advertised categories of appliances at the moment, just below smartphones. It has a huge basket and cooks everything perfectly without much noise.
It can be used without any problem for everyday cooking for a family of 4, and as you saw in the previous footage, it can fit a lot of food.
Any possible shortcomings in some dishes are due to the general rule that must be followed in any air fryer regarding cooking times and temperatures, as ingredients differ in size, origin, and other factors.
Despite its 8-liter capacity, the device remains reasonably sized and can fit in most kitchens and cabinets without any problem.
Of course, such a large basket has some difficulties when it comes to washing, especially in smaller sinks. Even in the dishwasher, some compromises will have to be made to fit it properly. This is obviously not a negative aspect, as it serves the most comfortable and easy cooking. Think about how much larger a baking dish or a pot is. In any case, if you have limited space, it is something you should consider.
The €150 it costs is worth it, and it is definitely a device you should look into if you are in search of an air fryer. But even if you're not, start looking because you will save money and cook healthier and faster!
The Izzy Multi+ 600 has the expected build quality of the company, always in relation to the purchase cost.
The 600ml capacity container is large compared to other similar multi on the market, while the stainless steel blades are extremely sharp (and no, I did not cut myself three times during testing. No). The blades consist of 3 parts, which are placed and locked on top of each other.
There is a rubber anti-slip ring on the base of the container.
There are three distinct quantity indicators on the container, 100 - 600ml, 4 - 20oz, and ½ - 2 ½ cup, while the power cord is 1m long.
I used the Izzy Multi+ 600 in my everyday life for about 1 week, covering all cooking needs, ingredient preparation, and more.
The blades can be used in 1, 2, or 3 pairs, depending on the materials we want to cut or puree.
The two different operating speeds are determined by the pressure applied to the button, light and strong, as found in many other models in the category. As expected, adjusting the speed was not a problem. The manufacturer advises not to exceed 10 seconds of continuous operation for better motor protection. Additionally, it requires intermittent pauses during operation.
For our tests, I used it to:
- Crush ice, hard cheese, chocolate, coffee beans, spices
- Finely chop onions, garlic, cold cuts, herbs, various vegetables, nuts
- Puree tomatoes and various other vegetables, fruits for juices and smoothies.
The Izzy Multi+ 600 had no difficulty with any material, with the additional speed helping in any "difficult" cases. When the maximum quantities are observed in the container, there is no risk of overflow, while the noise was almost as expected, with a little more intensity than desired.
Its non-slip base facilitates use as it prevents any movement of the device. The locking system on the lid prevents operation if not properly positioned, for greater safety.
The container, lid, and blades can be safely washed in the dishwasher.
The user manual includes all necessary instructions regarding cutting certain materials, maximum quantities, operating times and speeds, recommended blade pairs for each use, as well as 4 recipes.
The Izzy Multi+ 600 can easily become your right hand in food preparation and more. It is powerful, has a large container, and its 3 flexible blades have many uses.
With a purchase cost of around 25-30 euros, I can only recommend this particular multi chopper, as both its price and features are very competitive.
What I didn't like: Perhaps I would have liked less noise during its operation.
