Wanted: Dead is a game that, despite its limited promotion until its release day, managed to capture the interest of a large portion of gamers, due to its characterization as "what happens when Ninja Gaiden meets Cyberpunk." Ultimately, things weren't exactly as advertised, and we have at best a mediocre to bad B-movie release, with plenty of action but also plenty of problems. It's possible that all of this is due to the low budget that the development studio had at its disposal, resulting in not being able to deliver what they had in mind. So, Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is a worthy addition to the shelf of the survival horror category, presenting us with a strong and intriguing storyline, a unique atmosphere directly taken from classic Japanese horror films, and a refreshed visual aspect. The true age of the title is hard to hide, slipping through the awkward controls and slow movement of the characters, while the repetition in gameplay and exploration certainly do not work in its favor.
