The door functions correctly and both it and the overall design (including the carbon filter that is included - the buyer just needs to install it) effectively reduce odors. Very easy for small kittens (40 days old) who have just started learning to use the toilet - and they love playing hide-and-seek with the door! - but also for older cats (8 months old) who were used to an open toilet and now they don't want to part with it.
