I wanted to share with you some thoughts before my evaluation and I completely exclude foldables from this discussion. I also exclude the purchase value of each device. And I will only talk about the flagship category. From what I have been following daily in the past weeks on YouTube channels...

The Samsung Ultra and Apple's Pro series are a category on their own. They cannot be compared to any other phone essentially, not even between themselves, I would say they can be compared for the simple reason that they are devices that touch perfection in all areas, they have the whole package for the most demanding user, so essentially someone would choose one over the other for two main reasons which are both clearly subjective. The first reason is for the software and the second reason is for the design. They are top-tier flagship smartphones, in the end. I say this because everywhere I see comparisons between the OP12 and the 24 Ultra mainly and the iPhone 15 Pro series. And of course, it is worth comparing with these devices, it does not essentially lack anywhere (okay, it doesn't have an S Pen and AI features), but here the price comes into play...

Now if someone wants to compare the OP12 with the Samsung Ultra and Apple's Pro, they should first wonder what phones the two companies would release if their initial selling price was the same as that of the OP12, or the exact opposite, because with this price gap between them, I believe that the choice of purchase for someone (I refer to 95%+ of the buying public) is easy and I mean the OP12 of course.

Beyond that, we find the regular flagship category where we have the simple Apple series, the rest of the phones in the S series from Samsung, the Google, all the Chinese and the rest.

The OP12 is clearly a flagship device and one of the best if not the best of all in this category.

I have been the owner of the device for two weeks now, it is the first OP I have ever had, the immediately previous one I had was the Apple 14 series, before that Xiaomi 12 series and even before that Samsung S series.

I am a heavy and demanding user, I would say, and since I have used several devices from the top shelf of many well-known companies in the past, I can say that the first samples I have from the device are for 6 stars and above. However, since I have to comply with the scoring limits of the Scrutinizer application, for me it is clearly a five-star rating! And I don't say this because I haven't found any flaws. I have found some. I have read in previous reviews about some complaints. Respectable. But I will not dwell on them at all because I consider them insignificant compared to what this device offers as a whole. Personally, and after using it for several hours daily for these two weeks that I have had it in my possession, what I have to say is that for the average user who has this money to buy it, it is a perfect phone in all its aspects.
First of all, you are happy to see it.
Very good grip in hand with or without a case.
Excellent screen from every aspect.
Excellent battery life of 2 days for average use.
Incredibly fast charging to a ridiculous degree.
Excellent temperature management, the phone is always cool.
Very good cameras (I am not a photographer).
Processor without words.
Just to give an example, at the moment I am writing this, I have 41 recent apps open.
The software is incredibly fast, light, smooth as it gets in 99% of cases, pleasant to use with many options that enhance the user experience. You have the desire to explore it.
It is a device that you enjoy using.
It is a device that one can keep for many years.

Negatively, I would say there are mainly two things.
First, the phone's screen is not adequately protected by any back case due to its curvature.
Also, if you put a back case, it may detach the screen protector, so I recommend using the genuine OnePlus case, which I have no problem with so far.
Second, I do not know what coverage (meaning inconvenience) I will have in case there is a problem with the device since as far as I know, they only come from Kotsovolos, which gets them directly from the supplier and is not covered by any other representative in Greece.

If I find anything else noteworthy, positive or negative, I will come back!
