Fully disappointed with the use of aluminum insulated covers for solar panels, I bought it at the end of 2022 and neglected to install it immediately on my solar system. I put it on this July and just from the application, I was thrilled with its quality. It comes with suitable rope for tying from reinforced loops all around its perimeter. Beautiful, see the photo! Of course, I will monitor its durability over time and will return to update my friends.

Despite having the well-known quality of the company, its size is not sufficient for a proper waterproof connection. Especially with the Cat 6A cable that I use. I would recommend to DIY colleagues to use the larger DS-1280ZJ-S, from the same company.

From the time of purchase until now (Feb. 2024), it has excellent quality, made of hard but flexible plastic with additional reinforcements in key areas.
It also covered a flaw - a stain that I had on the factory cover of the trunk and wouldn't come out no matter what!

The base is of excellent quality and absolutely necessary for the external installation of cameras.
It fits a range of Hikvision cameras, providing the necessary space for connection to power either PoE or 12VDC.
I was impressed by the impeccable metal construction (aluminum) and application, the circular grommet, the stainless (of course) screws with blue threadlocker provided for the camera, the interchangeable grommet for cable entry externally or in the center of the base, the gap in the grommet for condensation drainage, the stainless screws held in the lid for ease of work at height, etc.
Pay attention to screwing, as the point above left is unique and if placed in a different point it will not screw.
The price is excellent for the quality and the definition of VfM.
In conclusion, 'Chinese' design and construction with 'German' quality and inspiration!

Good looking but does not last long and in heavy use.
I bought it to replace the torn screen on a balcony door. After its difficult installation, I found out that it did not have the required durability and replaced it with an aluminum screen.
So I would recommend it for use on windows but not on balcony doors with frequent opening and closing and children's activities.
