We bought three of these mats. We plugged them in for almost half an hour, testing all three settings. They never got warm. They emitted a very faint heat, like a 10-watt bulb when you bring your hand close to it. Because we saw the very good reviews, we bought three pieces with relative confidence from the start. It might have just happened to us or it could be the store's fault. But all three are problematic? What are the chances?

As for the range, with obstacles, the signal is lost at 150-200 meters. But I don't think it's important to reach 600 meters. If someone wants such range, it would be good not to look at a collar that costs 25-30€.
