Purchased about 4 months ago, with intensive use (amateur).
The purchase was made to upgrade my equipment, as I was the owner of a branded but very old circular saw.
The purpose was achieved.
To the point.
From the first moment, you understand that it is a quality construction. The plastic parts are of very good quality, as well as its aluminum base. (it is an aluminum alloy, significantly harder than pure aluminum), which provides comfortable rolling.
The dust extraction is detachable, which is convenient. The attachment fits perfectly, and when connected to a vacuum, it absorbs the majority (over 90%).
Its scales are correctly calibrated, both on the parallel guide, as well as on the depth guide and for angled cuts.
On the depth guide, I would expect it to have millimeter calibration, but even with the 0.5 cm increments, you can do your job.
Ergonomically, it is a common circular saw, relatively lightweight, that won't tire you out, just like no circular saw tires you out anymore...
Regarding the cuts:
I have worked with hard wood and walnut (both 5 cm thick), mulberry, plane tree, and black poplar at 3.5 to 4 cm thickness, Swedish and plywood in various thicknesses.
It did not struggle at all with the hard woods (hard wood, black poplar), but its cuts were noticeably slower compared to the softer ones, which it cuts like butter.
In none of the cases did the motor heat up. The parallelism is easily maintained (due to its plate), as well as its perpendicularity.
Its start is quite smooth, without immediately reaching its maximum RPM. Stopping is smooth, yet quick.
I should note that the cuts were made with a disc from another company (cmt) with 48 teeth.
The included disc is fine for more "coarse" cuts in construction-type lumber. For furniture making or melamines, I wouldn't recommend it.
In conclusion, I consider the product excellent for advanced amateurs and semi-professional use. It meets the criteria for proper cuts, is lightweight, and has a sturdy motor. An additional advantage is the two-year warranty, which becomes three years if the tool is registered with the company.
Very powerful saw. I bought it for 138€ along with its case in 2016 and since then, even though I am an amateur, I have cut many meters of wood and have been completely satisfied with everything. In the photo, you can see one of the many constructions I have made, using only this specific circular saw for the cuts. The cuts you make, if you know how to work with such a tool, I would say they are very satisfactory and precise.
Although I have it for amateur use, I can say that it is a very powerful tool. There is a possibility that a professional may need a tool with a larger disc (it can cut up to 7cm...) but an amateur will love it as it is capable of doing more than what you ask of it. The original disc is the classic Bosch... good for rough cuts but not for fine work. However, as soon as you change it, you will see a big difference. Very powerful tool and very good and quality construction. It has a stable cut both in a straight position and at an angle, and the guides lock easily and securely in their position. I recommend it for DIY and demanding types who want something more. Personally, I bought it because I didn't want to buy a tool that would fail in the middle of a project and so far it hasn't disappointed me.
