It is suitable for teenagers and people with little facial hair or soft beards. Personally, I don't find it good for either trimming or shaving (dry or with foam). As for shaving, it takes more time and is rougher on the face compared to traditional shaving. Ultimately, the only thing I found it does well is cleaning the hair in the sink.
My husband loves it because it is almost like a razor and does not cause irritation to the skin. He shaves his head and takes care of his beard 1-2 times a month
I came to an electric shaver from a simple trimmer that I had for my beard and I have seen the light. Very good shaving without many movements and no irritation. The blades seem very durable although this is something that will show over time. In the package, it already has one for placement and one as a spare which for me, who shaves once a month, is enough for about a year.
From the best purchases I have made in this field. It cuts even large beards comfortably, without needing to change blades or additional accessories. It is washable and its battery lasts a long time. I highly recommend it for both daily use and occasional use
I have been using it day by day for 4 years and the head, which costs 17€, broke because it fell from my hand. I have never changed the spare part, it really is worth it.
Since I am a professional and owner of both the Remighton and the Philips one blade, it is day and night in everything. Philips surpasses and falls behind in the expensive 25 euro blades, but beyond that, you can see it from their motor, the speed that Philips gives and the power and precision! On the other hand, Remighton, if you exclude the blade that will last you for years and a good cleaning of the shaver, in the beard area it loses even in one day, but with many passes without irritation of course, it is an important part and both machines excel in that! The Philips one blade is the best on the market, it even outperforms the Braun series 7 that I have for 300 euros with a 75 euro replacement head, please... so everything points to Philips one blade! I hope I helped you. Thank you!
It does not shave like razors, but I do not believe that there is a machine that does. It takes several passes to shave the same spot, but it also depends on the type of beard each person has
They brought it to me as a gift during the holidays and I have used it 4-5 times since then. I am not a fan of shaving, I shave 3-4 times a month and the razor struggles when the hair is long. Lately, I had adopted the practice of trimming them first with a trimmer and then using a razor.
So I thought that the solution of the ONE razor would save me the double trouble (as I really hate shaving).
I have not tried it for dry shaving, only with foam because in general my skin easily gets irritated and also the hairs do not come out easily on the right and left sides. The instructions recommend shaving against the grain and the truth is that if you try to shave with the direction of the hair, it takes 3-4 passes (for me) to get the job done.
Although I never shaved against the grain because of the irritation from the razor, I decided to try it. If you don't make hasty movements, with one, at most two passes, it does an excellent job.
Shaving with the ONE razor against the grain, compared to the razor (not against the grain), is deeper and does not irritate the skin. It struggles a bit on the chin to achieve the same deep shave, but if I feel something during rinsing, I use the razor to finish (a practice I followed with the razor anyway).
The conclusion for me is positive, I have greatly improved the time and ease of shaving and over time, possibly the cost as well.
I have not tried the combs yet, so I cannot give an opinion on them at the moment.
I have it for a few days, but I have to mention that its construction is sturdy in hand. The blade it has in front provides an amazing shave (for me, being a 16-year-old teenager). It doesn't give as close of a shave as a razor, but let's say it's like shaving with a razor after a day. I don't have an opinion on the battery yet since I haven't used it much, but I will come back to complete my review in this area. Additionally, it is easy to change the heads, and the box contains 2 when you buy it. I also appreciate that it is waterproof, as you can use it while taking a bath.
Now, as for the negatives, the only thing I notice for now is that it doesn't have an indicator for how much battery is left (although Philips has fixed this in its next model, the pro, I have to mention it).
That's all for now, I will come back with a more comprehensive opinion in about 2 months
I use it day after day for shaving, as conventional razors cause irritation. It doesn't provide a close shave like a razor does. However, it is satisfactory for my everyday life as a student. That means if I shave in the morning, by evening I will look unshaven. If I am going out, I prefer a regular razor to avoid my hair getting pinched... I have also used the combs, which seemed satisfactory for trimming my beard. I have no complaints. However, just like with shaving using the machine, it will require 2-3 passes because it doesn't catch some hairs on the first pass. I am slow to change blades (meaning until the indicator turns green), maybe 1 every 3-6 months. The battery has a tremendous duration... I charge it once a month. It is waterproof, so there is no problem if you use shaving foam with the machine.
I recommend purchasing it to anyone who wants to trim their beard or has problems with facial irritation from conventional razors. If you don't belong to this category but want it for a close daily shave, I do not recommend it.
With this, I shave my head. It cuts well, but I expected something better for its price, since I have to go over the same spot twice, sometimes even three times. The battery lasts a long time and the replacement also. It is value for money.
You pay, let's say, 10-12 euros for a spare part and it breaks after 10 uses, so with a total of 60 euros that I spent, I shaved for 4 months... and I didn't use it every day.
Any positive review that exists is from people who used it and wrote a review immediately, they didn't wait for some time to pass.
Not recommended for any reason
I had bought it since the summer but I had never used it, until yesterday.... For years I had another very good hair clipper, a well-known brand, and "trimmed" my beard without the length adjustment machine (I like the clean-shaven look). But with the OneBlade, I was amazed. Very close shave without any irritation. It was unbelievable to the point where I was saying that I should have bought it months ago. Very easy to use, it may require some repetitions (of course, like all similar shaving-trimming machines) as it is not a razor, but the result is amazing (almost comparable to shaving with a razor). And the best part is that I didn't cut myself, my skin didn't get irritated.... I only have positive things to say... I don't know about its use for someone with a mustache, but for me, who was clean-shaven for 2 weeks, the job was done effortlessly..
I received it just today (28-06-2017) and I can say that it is the best thing I could find for everyday shaving without irritations and cuts. The only problem is that it requires several repetitions for a good result. It also has 2 replacements for the head that last for 4 months each. It also has settings for favorites and for details and good erasing. It is a bit expensive for the result it gives, but if you don't like shaving and have cuts and irritations, it is the best choice.
