I don't even remember when I bought it, definitely before 2014. I decided today to make a review since I want to mention its negative aspect.
Positively, the tool has no power shortage. You think it's electric despite the low Ah of the battery!! After all these years, neither the battery has drained nor the tool itself!! The battery is built-in, and you simply connect the whole tool to the charger. Its charging is quick; as soon as it runs out, you go make a coffee, drink it, and it's ready in a couple of puffs.
It is a hammer drill in every sense of the word. It drills asphalt, concrete slabs, stone, like butter. Screwing and unscrewing works so smoothly, as if it has a speed regulator. It has fallen from the first-floor roof, and honestly, it didn't suffer a thing. Its usage over the years has been daily, amateur to semi-professional.
The only negative aspect.
Although the drill bit holder is SDS, not all SDS bits fit, not even the ones from the series. It only works with the Uneo series, which you can't find everywhere, but fortunately, it works with many Makita bits. I wanted to buy a sander with a spindle today, and I couldn't find it anywhere. Hence the review, out of my frustration.
In conclusion, if you want a battery tool to drill walls without hesitation, to screw and unscrew for many, many years, it's perfect.
I bought it in 2009. Perhaps the best purchase I have made in a tool. A total beast, I have done everything in 3 houses!
