I bought this specific machine for my country house, which had a big problem with insects this year. I bought it because of the positive comments. It does the job indeed, but I don't have a point of comparison. However, since I hung it on the ceiling, I haven't been bothered by mosquitoes at night. One thing though, no one mentioned in the comments. When it burns an insect, it makes a sound like a gunshot. There is no way it won't wake you up, even with a closed door in another room. If you have a lot of mosquitoes, it will feel like a war is happening...
