Reviews
Excellent with the use of ProgDVB and not its own software that I haven't even tried. Excellent signal without any interruptions (depending on the installation of your antenna if it is correct) and it can record from both of its tuners on different frequencies, but also up to 4 channels if they go two by two, which are on the same frequency as in terrestrial digital, for example simultaneously ERT1HD+ERT News HD and ERT2HD+ERT3HD
Translated from Greek ·Did you find this review helpful? For the price, 3 stars max. The remote control usually doesn't work when you want it to, it takes a long time to change channels. It's overpriced for what it offers. I don't recommend buying it. I had a cheaper one that was 8 years old and had FM, much better, but it conflicts with some program and doesn't work well
Translated from Greek ·Did you find this review helpful?Purchase 18/09/2021. I wanted a dual receiver card for many years, but the prices were out of budget. Evaluation 9/11/2021. It does what it claims. Very good image and sound quality. It is more noticeable in recording. Mainly in sound. With intel i3 2120, good SSD, 1050 2 GB, and 16 GB DDR3, the switching between programs and functions is quite slow, and the remote control seems to have a decorative reason for existence, hence the 4 stars. When I upgrade and turn it into a server, I will provide feedback on how it performs, maybe it's just the age of the system and its 20 TB hard drives. Update 28/12/2021: processor change to i7-3770k and installation of the open-source program ShiftDown for process prioritization and it changes channels a little faster. Not enough to give it 5 stars though.
Translated from Greek ·Did you find this review helpful?Excellent USB TV Tuner with two receivers so you can watch (and record) up to 2 different channels simultaneously.
No issues on a PC with Win10, drivers were installed and WinTV v10 (the code is included in the package so you basically get it for free), connected to the main antenna (obviously ignoring the small antenna included in the package), all digital channels were tuned without any problems.
It doesn't heat up excessively even when tuning in to 2 channels simultaneously and it doesn't consume too many system resources. The CPU utilization is extremely low (single-digit number) and it doesn't consume too much RAM. In fact, on a PC with i5-7600, 16GB RAM, SSD, and GTX 1060 3GB graphics card, I don't notice any difference whether I'm watching 2 channels simultaneously or not using it at all.
I have no opinion on the remote control because I don't use it.
It's hard to find at the moment and it has a slightly higher price (I bought it from abroad due to its limited availability in Greece and better price), but for those who want to watch and/or record up to 2 channels simultaneously on their PC/Laptop, it is an excellent and reliable choice.
P.S.: The only issue so far is that some channels cannot be recorded because the file name of the created file contains Greek characters which are converted to unrelated ASCII characters when the file is saved on the disk, and Windows doesn't allow such characters in file names. I contacted the company, provided them with all the necessary information (including the requested logs), and they forwarded it to their technicians. I will update the review when/if it is resolved.
UPDATE 1/19/2021: I reported the above issue on 12/28/2020 if I remember correctly, and today they sent me a link via email for the new version that fixes the issue. Absolutely no problem anymore with recording on any channel. Excellent cooperation with the technical department (tests, logs, etc.) and a solution in less than a month! (So, this issue DOES NOT exist from build 39019 of WinTV10 onwards).
UPDATE 2/2/2022: OK, some observations after over a year of daily use.
- On some channels (SKAI HD, ANT1 HD, mTV HD, and MEGA HD), the information about the TV shows playing/will play in the TV Guide (EPG) of WinTV does not appear, while it appears on any TV I have. After contacting the company and when they asked me if I received this information with other recommended programs using the TV Tuner (I tried, no, the same as with WinTV), they replied that TV Tuners sometimes cannot receive this information depending on how the channels broadcast it. I just mention it. Also, I clarify that I'm not talking about channels like BBC and DW that don't seem to have a specific program since they are essentially 24-hour news channels.
- Finally (and this wouldn't say it's a problem, just mentioning it) after several updates of WinTV, I have noticed higher CPU utilization and RAM usage. With i5-7600, GTX1060, and 32GB RAM, it's not an issue for me, just mentioning it.
- Many times when the computer goes into sleep mode (always after closing WinTV first), when I "wake it up" again and open WinTV, it simply shows "No Signal." Attempts to restart the service, etc. don't work, so the only solution there is a reboot. I haven't found any other solution at the moment. Win 10 Pro 64b. EDIT 19/2/2022: It is NOT a tuner problem, it is a USB device management issue in sleep mode on Windows. It happens randomly (but frequently) and the sure solution to avoid rebooting is to disconnect and reconnect the USB cable. Luckily, I have been using an extension cable from the beginning, so it is very easy for me to do. There is absolutely no problem in hibernation mode.

It does exactly what is described, I give it 4 stars for its slightly high price.
