I already had a wireless keyboard for the iPad Pro, but I wanted something to protect the screen. As soon as I connected it to the iPad, it was immediately recognized and the screen opens and closes with the cover. It adds weight and bulk to the device, but nothing significant, especially considering what it offers.
The feel of the keys is impressive and they have very good feedback, so you know when they are pressed and when they are not. After a few minutes, I was typing at the same speed as I do on a full-size keyboard, and all of this on a device that doesn't require batteries! It enhances the iPad and for those who use MacOS, all the shortcuts work! Even those of the applications and the spotlight, since it has a command key. It also has a separate button to change the language.
I have nothing negative to say about it, just to inform about some details that the potential buyer should know:
- It does not cover the back of the iPad Pro. Additionally, if you already have a case, make sure it is compatible with the Smart Keyboard, as it attaches magnetically to the side where the dock connector is, so the case must have an opening.
- It does not have an Escape key. It's not a big issue, but your hand will instinctively go there, as it is otherwise the same layout as the keyboards of the MacBooks.
- When the cover is folded, it does not attach magnetically to the back of the iPad Pro. It may sound silly, but when you hold it in your hands, the cover hangs and when you go to lift it, suddenly all the weight shifts when the cover opens. It takes getting used to.
- It does not have a holder for the Apple Pencil. You may say it's a detail, but it would be very convenient to have somewhere to attach the Pencil.
I'm not writing these as negatives, so they don't affect its rating, because it delivers on its promises better than anyone would expect!

Unique achievement of technology. It transforms the iPad Pro from a tablet to an ultrabook or notebook. Incredible responsiveness, while fully respecting the versatility of the tablet. It's just a little difficult to manage when you're in public transportation, as it adds weight (but not for a trip to the countryside or by plane where you have space). For this reason, the smart cover must also exist, so that you can use whichever you need at any given moment! The keyboard turns the iPad Pro into an ultrabook while the smart cover turns it into a tablet!
