Finally, it proved to be very good. It revived a decade-old laptop. While initially struggling and the fan running at 100% constantly, with an average temperature of 65°C, after applying this paste, it sounds much quieter and should operate at around 40%, with an average temperature of 50°C.
In about 5 months, I will apply it to a much newer laptop and I will come back with further information.
UPDATE: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PASTE
I will also leave my initial review below. The first two applications were perfect. I applied it to the processor and graphics card and had temperatures the same or even better than MX4.
The third time I used the paste, I noticed an increase in temperatures on both the card and processor, both in load and idle. Previously, I had a maximum of 40 degrees Celsius at idle with the Cryorig H7 cooler, but now I was seeing 55+. In load, it reached 90+. The same happened with the GPU. So, I started adjusting the overclock settings, lowering clock speeds and voltages, but nothing worked, everything was overheating.
I then opened up the processor and graphics card cooler and saw the unbelievable: scratches and marks on the surface of the processor and cooler. Obviously, the paste contains solid particles, possibly metallic, which caused the damage you see. The surface of the processor was so damaged that even a nail could find it. Of course, both the processor and cooler were destroyed, but especially the graphics card.
That's all for this disgusting product. I saw in forums that others had the same issue. I don't want to be mean, but I wish a tsunami would hit the powertech factory. Because it's hard to get justice in this situation.
And no, it wasn't my mistake. Before every repaste, I clean with microfiber and isopropyl alcohol.
Here is my initial review... I can't believe it.
It is clearly the most value for money paste. For years, I used MX and Noctua's paste. And honestly, I don't see any difference in temperatures.
Not even for free is it worth putting it on. It was applied to a PS4 Pro and when I opened it again to see why the fan was running at full speed, I found the paste in a liquid form like water?!?! Then I applied another branded and expensive paste and now it works like a charm.. Useless product for me, it shouldn't be sold...
Installation was easy, but it didn't solve the problem of the laptop fan running like crazy now and then.
I had bought it years ago.
It had stayed on the shelf. I used it recently and I expected it to be dried out.
Not even close. I see very good temperatures. Approved!
Good paste maybe much better than other branded ones can be used on both CPUs and graphics cards with very good results. I haven't measured its duration over time but anyway, every 1-2 years as part of maintenance, the paste should be replaced...
It does its job just fine. Tested on a laptop using speccy, the temperature doesn't go above 75 degrees Celsius and when the fan starts, it drops straight to 45 to 55 degrees Celsius.
I have had the old PC for over 10 years, back when only "tech-savvy" people knew about such things.. It never had any issues, I don't know if it really helps.. but now I got it because I wanted to see if it actually makes a difference, since I'm building a new one... let's see.. I don't know, it seems like putting plain yogurt will do the same job
There was a mistake with my order at the store (I wanted a different one and it was not available) and I was temporarily given this one. From the results I posted by running Prime95 Small FFTs on a DELL OPTIPLEX 745 with Q6700, the performance of the paste as well as its texture is similar to an MX-2. As for its durability, I don't have an opinion yet, but I believe it will be fine for 1-2 years.
*(The test was done between MX-4 and this one)
I was absolutely satisfied with the product. I installed it on 2 laptops, and on the old laptop where I installed it, the temperature difference was noticeable, as it lowered the temperature by about 15 degrees. On a newer laptop, it lowered the temperature by about 10-12 degrees. I recommend it.
Good for its price. I didn't see a big difference compared to the factory paste I had for over 4 years, but the temperatures definitely improved.
Very good paste and economical.
It's worth its money.
It has the same thermal conductivity as much more expensive and branded ones that I have tried.
Prefer it.
It was installed on an Asus Gt 725 graphics card and an Intel Core Duo processor. It reduced the temperature by 10 degrees on the graphics card and 15 degrees on the processor (compared to the previous paste). During stress tests, the temperatures gradually rise and immediately decrease once it stops. Very good for its price.
Quite good and economical paste, it does its job for its money! Satisfactory temperature reduction and quantity!
It was installed on an 8-year-old Intel i3 3220 with its stock cooler. Previously, during relaxed browsing and YouTube, temperatures would reach around 42 to 48 degrees. Now, temperatures range from 33-39 degrees, even with the processor in what we can call turbo mode. I don't have anything specific to push the processor further in gaming, so in a benchmark test, it reached a maximum of 48 degrees, whereas before it was around 55 degrees and above. For its price, it is very good, although I didn't need the spatula that came with it. Also, my case has an exhaust fan and doesn't have the best airflow, so in a better case, there would be a bigger difference. Edit: It was tested to replace the stock thermal paste on the stock cooler of an AMD processor, and it had minimal improvements. It is also very difficult to clean the paste off the CPU. Give something more and go for MX 2
It was used on a laptop processor and graphics card, to replace the old one and it actually had an effect. Good price for the quantity, the included spatula is handy. The temperature decreased by about 30℃
I bought it for general use and not for a computer, etc... It does a great job... I have put it in a thermostat to transmit the temperature faster and not have a delay in closing and opening. It seems to be doing its job.
