I am satisfied, it does its job just fine, and the plates are removed and cleaned very easily, and that is a big plus! But I take away one star because it doesn't have an on/off button, which means that every time I want to use it, I have to sit down, grab the power strip, plug it in, and then unplug it afterward to turn it off; I can't leave it plugged in and switch it on and off. This has been a bit annoying, I would prefer to have it permanently plugged in and turn it on and off when I need it. Other than that, everything is good!

The plates require the attention that all non-stick cookware needs in their cleaning. It makes toast fantastically even on 1. I have grilled skewers many times as well as chicken, and it is a very quick solution in case I am in a hurry. Did you find this review helpful?Although we have had it for a week, we are not satisfied compared to the old Tefal we had. 1) It takes 3 toasts instead of 4 like the old one. 2) The light does not turn off, so it constantly draws power, meaning when we are toasting bread, you have to be next to it and time it to unplug it, otherwise it burns them.

The preheating time is slow, it takes 7-8 minutes to burn well.
After 8 years of daily use, the resistors gave up. The repair cost is 35€.

The main problem is that it often burns the heating elements. As long as it was under warranty (I think 2 years), they were replaced at the service center 3 times! As soon as the warranty expired, it burned another one, which I replaced myself, and now that it's approaching 3 years, it burned both of them. There is no chance of fixing it again.
It's a shame because it's a well-known brand, but the build quality is terrible. The only positive thing is that I got it quite cheaply due to a coupon from a department store.
Maybe I got a faulty product, but the service center didn't mention anything like that even though I asked for a replacement.

Did you find this review helpful?I am probably one of the lucky ones because it lasted me 12 years with almost daily use. The only thing I changed in these years was the power cord because it had melted in various places where it had come into contact with the plates. It toasts normally on setting 1 (if you don't forget), if you increase the temperature it burns them for real. It is average in grilling vegetables and other foods (I would say it's a bit weak). The removable plates are of very good quality, if you take care of them and don't scratch them with metal objects (knives, spatulas, etc.) they don't get damaged. The plastic parts are also average. I would like it to have some kind of latch to secure it when it stands upright and not open when you try to lift it by the handle.
Update: The top heating element stopped working, I removed the plates and saw that both heating elements (top and bottom) were distorted. I am thinking of getting the same one to have the extra plates.

I also read several comments that people are bothered by the fact that it doesn't have a switch. This can easily be solved by buying a switch with an LED, so this issue can be resolved relatively cheaply. I have bought two, the other one is for the deep fryer. No need for any comment on toast, so let's move on. I grilled pork schnitzel, chicken souvlaki bites, and the next will be thinly sliced gyro. I have absolutely no complaints. 1. There is NO liquid collection disc, you have to put something yourself to collect the liquids that will run from the grill holes.
2. Vertical storage WITHOUT SECURING THE CLOSURE of the toaster in any way is a joke.
I don't have an opinion on the cooking, since I haven't tried the product yet. The build quality for the price is unacceptable. The plates seem good, but the side bases are cheap and the assembly with the body is poor. In the closed position, there is inconsistency in the distance between the top and bottom parts on both ends. Disappointing.

Did you find this review helpful?I would give it 5 stars because my partner bought it years ago and it didn't have any issues at all. It toasts the sandwiches very quickly, but only the first ones. The second ones need a little more time. It toasts chestnuts very nicely, but only those. Also, because it toasts very quickly on the first toast, you have to be careful not to let the cheese come out and stick to the plates. Although it is easy to clean.
However, the second one I bought last February, within 5 months, the top heating element burned out (within warranty, that is) and I sent it for repair/replacement of the element. I delivered it to an authorized Tefal service on 26/8/21. Until 4/10/21, it has not been repaired yet! The response from Tefal service is that they have ordered the element and they will call me when it arrives!
With this logic, it is better to buy a new one because the warranty in Greece has absolutely no validity, since they inconvenience you so much that in the end, both the regular warranty expires and you don't have the product that you paid a lot for recently.
Conclusion. If a branded product breaks down WITHIN WARRANTY, you throw it away and buy Chinese products.
