It is a very good proposal from Asus, with very good quality construction and many capabilities (it writes almost everything) and it is very fast. I bought it to write DVD-RAMs and BD-REs.
I give it 4 stars because it does NOT have the ability to write Sony BD-RE XL 100GB, which are cheaper compared to the competition (official response from Asus).
Professional, extremely fast for the use I make in photo montage and recording on bluray disk... I recommend it, and of course the money is worth it at a professional level...
