War... war never changes. The same goes for the recipe of Fallout 4. It now follows the beaten path set by Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. The change in perspective offers some good FPS moments, but without the necessary level and equipment, situations quickly become difficult. It has a lot of exploration in a large world with a likable story that had the potential to become exceptional. The evolution depends on your decisions. The addition of building various things and collecting materials is completely pointless and tiresome.
Huge!
Now it is a first-person shooter and not an RPG, like the previous ones in the series.
Even so, it is worth it for the effort put into it and the choices the player has.
3.5 stars as an RPG, 5 stars as a shooter.
Very nice single player game that lives up to its predecessors.
Very good story, many choices, amazing music and of course weapons.
You can shape your own small communities, building them as you see fit.
Of course, the choices you make also shape the evolution of the game.
For its accuracy, I give it a 9/10 and not 5/5, as I have also done on Gamespot. Better overall - technically - than F3 and FNV, and obviously even more so than F2. But it has fewer RPG elements than the previous ones (karma, items, repair, perk trees, etc.), and predetermined "paths" in the plot. On the other hand, it is the best RPG at the moment, at least until we see DeusEx.
I installed it, I tried it... I deleted it.
Good game but difficult for those who are not into this type.
We "old school" gamers have stuck with the CoD Modern Warfare trilogy as the best choice for some action, and with Dying Light as playable games.
Simply the best game of the year! Improvements in many things that made the previous two less enjoyable in terms of gameplay and you can spend at least 50 hours playing!
Incredible game with improved gunplay, many crafting possibilities, and much more! It's worth being one of the best open world games
Review and comparison with previous Fallout games.
Positives:
Good gunplay with slow-mo and plenty of gore.
Crafting for weapons, armor, and even houses.
Negatives:
Many (if not all) RPG elements have been removed, such as:
a) Your character's attributes and skills (STR, INT, AGI, etc.) have no impact on the plot or your relationships with other characters.
b) In most conversations, the available responses are always the same! (yes/no/question/sarcasm).
Very high graphics requirements for a five-year-old game.
It's good for an open-world shooter, but definitely not as an RPG.
First of all, I would say that I would not recommend the game to someone who has not played any of the previous ones in the series, because for some things there is no tutorial and you will find them a bit difficult and it requires dedicating many hours of exploration. Also, it doesn't remind me so much of an RPG like the previous ones. Apart from that, Fallout 4 is very good, it offers an incredibly fantastic atmosphere, many things to do, a large map, and many things to build
Perfect if we exclude the graphics.
It is Fallout obviously and it is worth it.
I played it for free for 2-3 days from steam. I loved it! I will definitely buy it.
