Incorporates a shock-resistant design, from the internal structure to the external surface, adding an extra shield to withstand drops and impacts.
Additionally, it has passed tests according to the strict US military standards MIL-STD-810G (transit drop test), to offer you tough and durable protection from the accidents of daily life.

The disk was purchased on May 22, 2020. So far, I have been using it with USB 2.0 connections and it is fully compatible as stated in its specifications.
I exclusively use it on Linux systems, specifically Xubuntu & Kubuntu 18.04 & 20.04, and it is also fully compatible with automatic plug & play recognition.
The disk being used is a Seagate and it has the major flaw of automatically shutting down if left idle for 5 minutes. They have not set a longer waiting time and after exchanging emails with Silicon Power, they responded that this cannot be changed. Additionally, I did not find any software from Seagate itself that states compatibility with this specific model in order to disable this automation. This is why I am not giving the disk 5 stars. The continuous spindowns & spinups will unfortunately wear it out much sooner.
Very slow in data transfer. You need to have a lot of patience... I wouldn't recommend him in the era we live in where speed plays an important role. The use I make is simple. I only take pictures inside and it is very slow.
He is very durable. It hasn't fallen down on me but it shows in its materials. Furthermore, its specifications mention that it has passed the drop test. It quickly transfers files. I use it at work and we gradually fill it up, safely. It doesn't disconnect. Its design is extremely elegant.
This specific disk proves to be vfm.
Durability: Within the first semester, it fell from a height of 1 meter three times while in operation, without noticing anything.
Speed: Connected to a USB 3.0 port, it has a stable speed of 100Mb/s.
Temperature: No complaints, the disk has never increased its temperature.
Unbelievable .... it is finally true that it has enhanced protection according to the Military protocol MIL-STD-810G.
As durable as it gets.
It's worth its money
