Having received over 200 awards and recommendations from top international websites and hardware magazines, the NH-C14 has become an established reference for top-flow 140mm coolers. With its deeper fin stack and the most efficient NF-A14 PWM fan, the new S-version provides similar performance and further improved compatibility.
Top Flow C-Type Design
The top-flow design of the NH-C14S not only allows for exceptional quiet cooling performance while maintaining a much lower profile than today's 140mm tower coolers, but also ensures excellent airflow near RAM modules and motherboard components.
Smart Design
Compared to the original NH-C14, the layout of the NH-C14S has been shifted in two axes. Thanks to this measure, the cooler will pass over the PCIe slot on most mATX and ATX motherboards when the bends of the heat pipes see the PCIe slots or the I/O panel.

I bought this specific cooler to install it in a system with Gigabyte aorus pro ac B550 and Ryzen 5 5600x. With the stock cooler, the temperatures were very high, especially now in the summer, when running applications like Adobe Premier, causing the processor to reach its temperature limits and throttle. After a lot of research, I ended up choosing this cooler because due to the case limitations, I couldn't fit a larger one that reaches a height of 16 centimeters. The installation was relatively easy, except for the fact that the fan was mounted on the bottom side of the cooler with a plastic part obstructing the screw hole, making it difficult to tighten the screw onto the base. So, I positioned the fan from the top side, not sure if I would have encountered the same issue if I had attached the fan differently. I didn't have any issues with the memory, just the power cables got a bit crowded. Now, with light usage and an ambient temperature of 30 degrees, the processor reaches 46-48 degrees, and with the case cover open, it drops to 43-44 degrees. I haven't tested it for rendering yet.
Excellent cooler for Ryzen 3700X. Generally, it is perfect for Ryzen up to 65W TDP, but for Ryzen with 105W TDP, it would be good to look for larger coolers like the NH-D15, as this one is borderline and the fan will constantly run at full speed, resulting in temperatures of 70+ for the processor. For example, with the NH-D15, the processor reaches a stable 75-80 degrees under load, while with this one it is 10-15 degrees higher. Overall, though, it is the best option considering its size and compatibility with small cases.
Very good fan and the cooler is good too, but the fan doesn't fit from the bottom when the RAM has taller coolers and I didn't use it, we got another cooler and I have this one for sale.
BEAST!!!
I was looking for a cooler to put on because the stock cooler of my i5 4460 literally overheats.
85-89 degrees with Battlefield 4 & GTAV in a case with 7 fans 12-14cm.
The processor found its master with the new cooler:
-46 degrees max after hours of gaming (mainly BF 4, Ultra settings)
-Idle 23-30 max
-Even under full load gaming, the cooler fan is not heard AT ALL, as it is not strained.
Of course, I had to remove 2 fans (side panel & rear-exhaust) because the beast wouldn't fit!!! It may be shorter in height than the NH 15, but it is HUGE!
Installation is very easy, as long as your case has access to the back of the motherboard for the installation of the base.
As for build quality, there is no discussion, simply top-notch.
The only negative is, of course, the price, which could be lower.
However, anyone who gets it will not regret it. Trust me!
Excellent product... it was put in an A10 6800K for a prime95 test for about 5 minutes and it didn't go above 42 degrees.
At a clock frequency of 4100, note that we also added a second 140mm fan on top and a Noctua fan at the bottom, meaning two fans pushing the air upwards.
A good solution if you don't have enough height for tall coolers
