Immortal machine, minimal battery consumption.

I have 3 in my garden, winter/summer, heavy rain and mistreatment, and they continue undeterred for 6 years.

I installed it on my balcony because I was going on vacation for 10 days (25 nozzles). When I returned from my short vacation and saw my roses, it seems like it worked correctly. Of course, my experience with this device is only a few days, so I cannot judge its reliability over time. However, the installation and programming are simple. The only downside, at first glance, is that it does not have a one-minute program duration (it starts from two minutes per hour). This can be solved by adjusting the faucet opening (don't open it completely). When you're not using it, it's good to remove the programmer from the base and take out the battery. I mention this as a general guideline and not specifically for this machine.

After 2 years, it stopped working. It might be my fault because I had it connected to the faucet with the Gardena set to the off position all winter. So, one beautiful winter morning, the Gardena stopped working and we were amazed by the water river it created. So, be careful, especially during the winter and freezing periods, it is good to disconnect it or even better, close the faucet where it is connected.

After 2 years of use, I remain satisfied with this particular product. It is reliable with very low battery consumption, despite the large screen.

I have had the machine for two years and we are going for a third!! So far, it has been flawless in its operation with easy programming and very good build quality!! The only downside is that you can't program the exact time!! With a cheap battery, e.g., 9v from the supermarket, it keeps time!

Very good in terms of construction and sturdy, but it lacks a central clock of real time on which programming should be done, instead of the time starting from the moment the OK button is pressed. Also, it does not have a 1-minute watering option, only 2 minutes and above. The 1-minute option is useful for balcony plants where in hot weather we need multiple small waterings, while with the 2-minute option, the plates fill up with water and the balconies get dirty. It could also have more than 3 waterings per 24 hours. If these shortcomings do not bother you, the machine is otherwise good.

A few days ago, I bought the OEM WT-018 for 14.99. I thought that they were all the same, but I made a big mistake. First of all, it didn't have a screen and you didn't know if it was programmed, and it was too difficult to operate (a big flop). The Gardena (1882) is so simple that even a child can handle it, very easy to install. I highly recommend it.
