Easy and economical.
Although it is for indoor use, I have been using it outside for 3 years.
Perhaps the best camera and I wonder why it is behind in popularity. I have experience with 6 wifi cams from different companies. Since I got this particular one, I don't change and buy the same one again. And now that I will buy for my father's, I don't look at any other. Easy installation, clear image even in the basic hd version, clear night image, instant response without delay, and silent operation during movement. Option from the menu to show or not the LEDs it has. With a memory card, it records and sends immediate email alerts with real-time image.
It is a good choice for the money one has to spend, with plenty of functions either for home security or for use as a baby cam. The main drawback is the limited range for WiFi connection (it works well within 2-3 meters distance, while beyond that it requires connection with Ethernet (e.g. via WiFi extender - like in my case).
Connection is almost easy but with an Ethernet cable to the router, otherwise it's a bit complicated. Overall good and reliable, I have it since summer 2018. Daytime image is good and zoom is good - and at night good reception and always for its price! Negatives... Its programs on the internet were terrible but now they have improved somewhat, on the mobile it is also in Greek. Its settings do not obey all and they do not inform you about what each setting is. Its relay makes a loud noise and if you have it at a close distance it wakes you up or it is annoying. It restarts every day for about 30 seconds and if it is at night it is a problem, it also loses the point where you stabilized it and then shows elsewhere. I had to solve it and disable its motors so it doesn't patrol, but the relay will still be heard during restart. It has many fake notifications via email. Its sounds are terrible.
For a baby or pet monitor, it is simple and good. I wouldn't say it's great for zoom power, etc. Tilt pan and zoom basic. Like I said, for simple use. Setup!!! I almost broke it 2-3 times out of frustration...
Decent camera, but it hides some inconvenience in certain areas of the User Experience.

- It gave me the impression that it is quite secure and difficult to breach. Even the password to access the camera cannot be left as the factory default, but you have to register as a member and use that password.
Negatives
- In the Cloud, it does not allow you to save to other services (e.g. Dropbox), only their own service, which obviously costs, and it does not allow you to save anywhere else other than the SD Card.
- When accessing recorded videos, the video buffering is extremely slow. So whenever you need to "jump" to another point in the video, it buffers for about 10-20 seconds each time. Not even a well-known streaming platform, which also offers livestreaming, has such buffering.
- The camera literally restarts every day (if you have it at home, you might hear it spinning for 30 minutes while calibrating), so there is a chance of losing 30-60 precious seconds in a critical moment while the device restarts.
- When it restarts, which it does every day, the device returns to its factory position - which means, if you have placed the camera on the wall, where the camera wants to look "up" (in relation to its base, not the ground), after the restart, the camera will be looking at the wall because that is its factory position, looking forward in relation to its base, as shown in the image.
- It is a bit inconvenient to solve the above problem.
Specifically:
You have to access the camera's WEB interface (not the application), which is not very accessible because
a) You have to find the camera's IP - the application does not provide it, but you have to find it either
- from the router
- using a tool like nmap (Linux) that shows all active hosts
b) Once you find the IP, the Port of the Web Interface changes with each reset/restart of the camera. So today it might be "192.168.48:5043" and tomorrow it might be "192.168.48:10023". Probably for security reasons, which is a good thing, but it is difficult to find out on which port the Web Interface is actually located. I work on Linux and used "nmap 192.168.1.48 -p1000-65535" to scan all the ports of the camera's IP to see which ones are being used. And it shows you 3 ports, one of which is the web interface, where you enter username: admin and password: "the registration code when you became a member of Vstarcam".
c) Check the image -- System Settings -> PTZ Settings -> Turn to the specified preset on starting -> Enter the number of the preset you have set, possibly 1 if it is the first preset, which you can also create from the mobile application.
Super and at a very good price. Great range, I use it on my terrace in an indoor space, I live on the third floor and yet it works perfectly
I have been using it as a baby monitor for 2 years now. With the slightest movement, it sends a notification, clear image, and perfect even in complete darkness, sound is very good. At some point, it seemed to have a delay, so I reinstalled it and everything is okay. It has been very useful for us.
In relation to the money it asks for its acquisition, it is quite good. I have three and they have been working flawlessly for about 3 years. One of them (unfortunately) is located in an outdoor area (porch... it does not get wet).
And as a camera and as an application, it is the best because I have changed many cameras, most of them the motion sensor hits by themselves, this one only when it detects 100% motion and notifies immediately, I mean sometimes yes, sometimes no.
It has the best application by far, it doesn't freeze during live streaming compared to others, it changes colors and resolution for the money and its quality is impeccable. Also, even without the motion sensor, when there is movement, it cuts the video and when you go to the menu to view the videos that had motion, whether it's a person, an animal, a car, etc., it shows them next to a little person so you don't have to search.
The only downside is that the notification hits like a message on the phone, I mean in some others, where everything else is worse, the notifications hit like a home alarm. So, if this is fixed, there won't be any other camera that surpasses it
Very easy and fast installation. Good resolution and nice application on the playstore. I have connected it to a devolo powerline and turned it into a powerline camera. I will definitely buy a second one
The model underwent a face lift:
1) The infrared LED lights around the lens are no longer visible.
2) The memory card slot has been moved from the back of the base to the bottom of the rotating head (difficult to distinguish).
3) The (green) power indicator has been moved from the camera head to the power supply (red).
4) On the back of the base, there is now a micro USB port for power supply and a LAN port for router connection (the yellow and green lights next to the port have been removed).
IMAGE: Decent. For a really good image, a 1080p resolution is required, which the Vstarcam C24S provides.
SPEAKER: Powerful.
MICROPHONE: Mediocre. The sound source needs to be close to the camera to receive clear sound. However, the sound volume received by the microphone can be increased through the application, improving the situation somewhat.
INSTALLATION: In my case, installation was only possible using a LAN cable. (I tried wireless installation with 3 different cameras on 2 different routers without success).
MOTION DETECTION: It has 3 sensitivity levels. At the maximum level, even changes in lighting are detected as motion.
APP: Compatible applications are EYE4 and EYECLOUD, which are almost identical. They are relatively unstable in the sense that if you close them, they do not reopen immediately. After the upgrade, it is finally possible to send a text message via email when motion is detected (not a photo!), a notification that was previously only received through the application itself. HOWEVER, the email sometimes has a delay of a few minutes. There is also an added option to reboot the camera. For monitoring the image, there are 3 resolution options (HIGH, NORMAL, and SMOOTH) to choose the one that suits the internet speed of your device (e.g. mobile phone). The first two options do not differ significantly from each other, unlike the SMOOTH option, where the image has significantly lower resolution and appears blurry.
VOICE INSTRUCTIONS: The face lift model has voice instructions in completely incomprehensible English (with Chinese pronunciation).
STORAGE: The recorded video is stored on the micro SD card. However, there is also the option to store it in the CLOUD of the EYE4 application (with a charge, depending on the package chosen).
PRICE: This particular model does not exceed 30 EUROS abroad, while with approximately 50 EUROS, you can buy the Vstarcam C24S, which has significantly better image resolution and costs around 70 € in Greece. However, this is due to the general distortion of the Greek market, which gives reason for the existence of eBay for purchases at normal prices.
RELIABILITY: The previous version of the model went offline for a second summer. It reconnected on its own after 2 days. So far, no problems with the face lift version used for one summer.
I bought it today, it connected easily to both my phone and PC.

I haven't managed to connect my email account (Yahoo or Google) yet to receive notifications, and from what I read in the questions here, someone said it's not possible.
Very good camera for its price. I have had it for 2 months in an underground parking lot at night and the image quality with low light is very good. The speaker and microphone function very well. Immediate notifications via text message and email
Relatively easy to set up. The motion detection functions are good, although the sensor is a bit sensitive (it may trigger in changes in brightness caused by the sun). Immediate notifications on both mobile and email. Excellent night vision. The mobile application is very user-friendly with many options. I went on a month-long vacation and had peace of mind, it's a very reliable camera for its price.
Edit: I bought a second one for 40 euros, the best choice, a winning team doesn't change. The new batch has some changes, a reset button, SD card, but it also came with a mount for wall installation. I've had the first one for 2 years and haven't had any issues.
Negatives:
No On/Off button.
Sound quality is mediocre to bad.
The red light in the front is noticeable, either cover it with black tape or go through a complicated process to turn it off from the firmware.
CAUTION! The camera will only work on a 2.4ghz wifi network and NOT on 5ghz.
It is the first camera I have purchased and so far (3 days of use) I am very satisfied. The resolution is very good and you have the option to choose one of the 3 resolution modes (smooth, standard, high). Basically, this means that if you are in a place with poor signal, you can choose the smooth mode and still have a satisfactory image. Otherwise, you can choose the standard mode and the resolution is perfect.
As for the installation, it is as easy as stated in the instructions.
The software is very user-friendly, although I didn't like the fact that you have to download the apk from a third-party site and not through the play store (for Android users).
I bought the camera for 30€. I made the first purchase and the camera impressed me!!! It was really good! So I bought 3 more at the price of 90€ (all together).

Very easy installation even for a beginner. Very reasonable price. The resolution is worse than expected but it is definitely a decent purchase without high expectations.
Purchase date: 2.11.16.
Positive: The price.
Negative: 1) It does not automatically send snapshots when it detects motion (with motion detection enabled) despite being advertised as a feature. One can only manually take a snapshot.
2) Within 5 days, it has frozen during motion detection tests 7 times, which means that if someone enters my space, it is a matter of luck whether the camera will work at that moment or not. Otherwise, it captures everything and then stops working.
3) I used it with the Eye4 application, which also has several installation and operation issues.
Conclusion: Immediate return, bad purchase.
I use the camera for baby monitoring. That is not the purpose of the camera, but it is indicative of how inadequate its ability to cope is.
The resolution is SHD, but only on paper. In reality, the image quality is poor and the compression worsens things. I can barely perceive if the baby is breathing, having placed the camera very close. Also, the microphone is simply disappointing. The delay is significant and the transmission rate is low.
It has wide rotation angles and the rotation is smooth. The instructions are simply useless. For anything other than just "seeing what the camera sees from the mobile", there is no material at all.
There is no possibility of PnP installation without internet use. This is simply unacceptable and automatically excludes spaces that do not have a connection.
The server running the camera easily "breaks" from heterogeneous monitoring requests (e.g. mobile and PC) and often requires a restart.
I add one more star because I can monitor the camera I have at home from the office, through the eye4 application for Android.
