I washed 6 carpets/rugs, 5-6 smaller ones, and balconies. I can't compare it to another washer since this is the first one I've used, but it definitely made a big difference compared to washing manually with brooms, water hoses, etc. And of course, in less than half the time and minimized my effort. The head is adjustable, which helps a lot. The length of the power cord is satisfactory. Time will tell how durable it is, but so far it has definitely been a very good purchase.
