I bought this machine because of the reviews, after 2 months of use for the unshaved look that I wanted and for haircuts, I declare myself satisfied, the battery is strong, it lasted well with a full charge for about a month, meaning 3 or 4 shavings and 1 haircut. The build quality for 22 euros that I found is just fine. Quite a few accessories, 3 years warranty. Finally, from my side, I would recommend it, it is value for money.
Update 8/1/2020 still works great, I have no complaints.
2024 Last update, the machine started making noise yesterday and the battery after 6 years has let us down, even during charging it started to lose power to the point where it completely stops.
For haircut it is bad because it gets clogged with half a finger of hair. Many repetitions to get the job done.
For trimming the mustache it does something.
It works for the sideburns.
It doesn't work when it's plugged in.
I have been using it for a year and I keep it for the sideburns.
I've had it for 4 years, I use it every 3 days, it hasn't had any issues! The only downside is that hairs get inside it..
It's still early since I've had it, I've only done one haircut and one shave so far, I was impressed by its construction, very lightweight and a very compact machine for its power, as well as being economical. It is about half the size compared to an older rechargeable Philips that lasted me over 5 years and still works. Great variety of attachments, it even had one for trimming hair in the nose and ears, something very original, many combs for both hair and beard to change the shaving/cutting levels, the only negative I've found is that it doesn't work if you charge it and use it at the same time like the previous Philips I had (which was bought a bit more expensively, to be honest), but you have to charge it fully beforehand and then do your work. As for durability, time will tell.
I am incredibly satisfied with it. Very good for its price. I use it for my beard. The battery lasts for several uses and even though I have had it for 1 year, it shows no drop in performance compared to others. Also, compared to others I have used, even from the same company, it never pulls hairs and doesn’t get clogged. I hope when it eventually breaks, the same one will still be available so I can buy it again!
It could have had more accessories. Luckily, I kept the heads of my previous device, which fit onto this device.
The only negative so far is that it makes a lot of noise and vibrations during operation. Otherwise, it's OK.
If you are looking for a machine to quickly trim your beard.
But also to cut your hair as much as you have left (passion speaks), then buy it with closed eyes.
The battery lasts a long time.
It has a very reliable construction.
The machine is not worth buying because it cannot withstand its charge or take care of the beard, you have to charge it and do whatever you can in 3-4 minutes, nor does it remain charged. I don't know if mine has an issue, but it is unacceptable for Philips
Having had a Panasonic before, I have to say that you get what you pay for. The machine is a beast with many accessories. I will definitely buy another semi-professional Panasonic
The best purchase I have made in recent years, I have owned it for more than 7 years and it has not presented any problems
I have had it for 1 year, I don't use it often but for the times I have used it, it was quite good
Amazing machine, it is powerful and perfectly shaves face and body!!! It has many razors depending on your preferences and lasts a long time!!! Stainless steel and easy to clean!!! It lasts a long time!!! It is worth its money!!!
Compared to the 7000 model that I have from the same company, it is considerably noisier but it does the same job of cutting and trimming equally well.
In general, it does its job... for trimming mustaches, which I use it for.
The big problem is that you can't have it connected to the charger and use it at the same time... so if the battery runs out, you have to wait at least half an hour for it to continue... tragic, first time I encounter such a lack in a trimmer
Perfect! It replaced a reliable Philips trimmer that I had for 6 years, but the blade with the teeth was moving too much and pinching me. I hope this one lasts longer.
It has enough attachments and I use it for both trimming and shaving, as well as for grooming. However, I should mention that when trimming, there is a possibility of it getting clogged, so it needs to be shaken to remove the hair every now and then, as it is not a professional one (even in professional ones, if you notice, professionals shake them every now and then while working).
It broke in 1 month and even though I charge it normally, it doesn't work. Also, the battery life is short and the on/off button is a pain. Stay away!
Problem with the battery, it stopped charging in less than one and a half hours of occasional use once a week. The battery is now broken and no longer charges.
Very good for trimming I would say. The only problem I have is with the charging cable. The little pins have been damaged, so before I plug it in for charging, I have to press the pins left and right, so that it makes contact and starts charging. Other than that, everything is Ok!
I have been using it for over 4 years for my beard. Its battery is still very good and the blades are sharp, overall good quality construction. I would buy it again without hesitation.
Very good razor, with almost double-digit useful accessories. Easy to use, durable over time, very good battery. It effortlessly cuts even dry hair, without pain, tangling or pulling. I have had it for over a year, it is definitely worth the investment compared to 10 euro machines that break after every 5 uses
It cannot operate from a socket and the battery is useless. If you need it for something more than mustache/beard, you will end up taking 20-minute breaks to charge it for another 5 minutes of use.
Perfect machine with plenty of accessories. I don't know if it's suitable for professional use, but for home use, it's perfect
It is the second one that my husband buys, as it has served him well for both cutting and shaving. It is worth its money, just fine!
Simply perfect, I bought it for my husband, he had others before. This one has a very nice design, small, fits everywhere, and it's durable!! It has already been a year of use!!
Since the pandemic started, I needed somehow to cut my hair. So, I bought this machine and ended up cutting my hair by myself after all this time (with a little help from my wife in the trimming). The battery lasts quite a long time. About 40 minutes fully charged and ready to go.
Very good functionality, strong blades for a clean look without pulling or pinching hair, the adjustable attachment bothers me a little because it doesn't seem so accurate (it has a scale from 3-8cm), and after a year and a half of use, the battery is in moderate to poor condition. However, it is covered by the warranty and you have the option to register the device with Philips and get an extra year of warranty, so when the battery deteriorates further, I will take it for replacement.
Attention, the device cannot be used while plugged in, it only allows charging, which is why the battery plays a big role.
Excellent, I use it once a week for shaving, it has already been 3-4 years and it hasn't had any issues
The previous Philips one that I bought in 2012 was incredible. I bought it for 50€ and it lasted me 10 years. Now, I bought this specific one for 27€ but it completely broke after 4 months and I had to run to the service center to have it replaced since it was still under warranty. Although the build quality is mediocre, I believe that I encountered a material defect. I think it is good for the money.
I bought it 3 days ago - I was disappointed from the first haircut - Very small cutting blade, it easily gets stuck - The haircut took a very long time.
Maybe it's good for trimming, but for a haircut, get a better one.
I wish I could return it and get a better one.
