  The carving blade has a thin chain and is for fine precision cuts so that the branch is not damaged... it cuts like a sword instantly with amazing power... there is the same saw (CS-2511 TES) with the classic 3/8 chain and another blade for thicker cuts... I have both... the carving blade cuts 3-4 times faster due to the thin chain!! I cut the same wood with both saws and with the carving one I think it is 5 hp!!! The saw is generally the lightest and most powerful small one along with Sindaiwa, which is essentially the same saw, just the brand changes... now there is also the ECHO CS 2511TES carving Sugihara with a thin chain and blade with gears because the blade of the TESC does not have gears

  I bought it this year for olive trees. I have 2 other chainsaws, one of which is the eco 260. As for the 2511, it starts cutting right away and cuts very well. It is powerful and worth much more than the others, considering its weight alone. If you cut with this one and then use the others, it feels like you're cutting through a brick with a cement block. If you are careless or foolish, yes, you may have an accident because it is very powerful. It starts very easily! You add fuel (be careful with the ratio), chain oil, pump it 3 times and pull it 2-3 times with the air vent open. As soon as you hear it popping, close the air vent, pull it once and it starts! And I'm telling you this as a beginner! You tie it to your belt and climb up the tree because it is SUPER LIGHT!!! I have cut 40cm trunks! I have cut vertical trunks! I always open it at the end of the day and clean the filter, remove residue of chain oil, empty the gasoline. If you take care of it, it will never let you down (My friend has had it for 6 years)! 5 years warranty!!! If you have 360€-370€ to spare, buy it blindly!!!

  Incredible chainsaw. I bought it 3 years ago, with a 25-inch carving blade, 1.1mm thick without a nose sprocket. It is extremely lightweight and powerful for its size. It is amazing for tree care, cutting firewood, and felling trees with a trunk under 30-40 inches. Due to its ease of use, it has almost replaced two Stihl 180 chainsaws that I have. The only thing I don't like is the air filter, which is made of very fine plastic mesh. I would prefer a paper one. After searching a bit, I couldn't find one available in the market.   Purchased for €360. The carburetor definitely needs a proper adjustment by a technician in order to work flawlessly and at its maximum capabilities. I used it for 2 days with the factory settings, then with the correct adjustment, I saw a big difference.

  The combination of the ECHO 25cm Carving blade (solid, without gears, thin tip) with the Echo chain, 1/4'' pitch and 1.1mm chain guide thickness, shaves and does not get stuck between the branches. The carving blade, if the chain is too tight, will smoke relatively quickly.

  I also have the Husqvarna T425 for several years (purchased for €280, with carving cost €320) for pruning, which is very reliable, but the Echo 2511 is truly in a different category. Its weight and design are what make the difference in pruning (olive trees).

  Correct ratio with branded mixing oil (e.g. Echo Power Blend X) and good chain oil (Echo Premium Bar and chain oil). Cleaning with a brush during the day to remove debris and every 3rd day with a compressor.

  Compared to the Husqvarna T425, is it worth the extra €40? Absolutely. I will list some brief advantages.

  (+) Lighter weight, much more comfortable, properly balanced
  (+) Proper design for a pruning chainsaw, it is narrow/compact and easily fits exactly where you want it to
  (+) Tremendous power for its size
  (+) Less vibrations

It doesn't get stuck anywhere, although sometimes its power makes you want to cut even larger logs than it is intended for. If you push it too hard, it heats up, especially during the summer months, so it would be good to have a larger machine so that this one can rest and only work for its intended purpose, which is pruning and cutting small branches and thin wood. It is not intended for felling trees and large logs, although it can handle anything.   I bought it with some reservations despite the very positive comments from other users. It is excellent in cutting. It cuts wood like a razor. It is lightweight and well-balanced, and I can work with it for hours. For pruning, it is the best I have ever worked with. Be careful because we all get carried away and work with it for hours with one hand. It needs a technique to reach its maximum speed before touching the wood, but also to prevent the chain from spinning on the blade without cutting. In my selfish opinion, it does not require an experienced operator. When working with one hand, enter the wood at an angle relative to the vertical so as to minimize the chance of the kickback turning towards your other hand.

  I recommend using 100 octane gasoline and expensive oils, especially the Amsoil, Dominator, and Saber. It needs rest if you are cutting logs up to 25 inches in diameter, which it does brilliantly, but even there it requires experience so as not to strain it. Allow it to cut as much as it can, do not push it, it requires a technique.

  It does not require good cleaning, it requires excellent cleaning. Sometimes, I clean it during work if I see and smell sawdust. A brush with stiff black bristles easily cleans it and breathes life into it. It also needs occasional breaks. For those who do not have much experience, buy it without fear but sit with someone knowledgeable to show you its peculiarities.
