We have the Balios stroller, the regular one, not the Lux, from 2021.. We have enjoyed it incredibly.. We got it because of the suspension, because where we live we have a lot of cobblestones, so we wanted something that could handle the bumps, especially for a newborn baby.. The stroller after many rides, on any road you can imagine, abuse, second child, has not suffered anything.. It goes very nicely and smoothly on the road, it can handle a three-year-old, a one-year-old baby, and shopping underneath! I have absolutely no complaints, it has made us very happy!
I don't like that both the brake and the connectors got stuck. It's a nice movement but a problematic stroller. There are countless reviews for both the Balios and the other Priam models stating that there is a serious issue with the brakes. Come on, it's reasonable to expect that within 3 months it would break with the brake locked. If the pin comes out of the hole, this really nice stroller is simply ruined.
The best!!! Love at first sight!!! Quality materials, the baby enjoys its walk, its playtime, its food, its sleep, easy to handle with one hand, amazing suspension, easy to fold-unfold, design, takes up some space in the car. I highly recommend it, choose it, it cannot be compared to any other, worth its money. We have purchased it in combination with the Cybex Cloud T i-Size 0-13 kg Car Seat Mirage Grey, also fantastic.
One of the best strollers on the market! We have been using it for 9 months in combination with the Cloud Z car seat because we didn't buy a bassinet! The baby sleeps comfortably both in the stroller and in the car seat, the stroller fits upright in a Toyota Yaris and stands upright when folded easily if you want to keep it inside the house. BIG disadvantage, the accessories that you have to buy separately, but maybe some of them are generally unnecessary (e.g. rain cover).
A lightweight stroller that folds and fits upright in a Hyundai i20 without the need for a rack. Definitely requires both hands to fold, but only one to unfold. There are many accessories, all sold separately, including a footmuff. The after-sale service is very good, and the prices for Cybex products are reasonable. All fabrics are very durable and machine washable. This specific version has an aluminum frame. Very easy to assemble the first time as it comes disassembled in a box. I trust the company and would definitely purchase their products again. The handling is very easy with one hand, it goes up and down curbs easily, and it has suspension on all four wheels, which is not found elsewhere. The backrest reclines horizontally, so it can be used from day one and the baby doesn't seem uncomfortable. The handle has various stops, making it suitable for tall and short people
I have had the stroller for a year in gray... very good quality and very good fabric... sturdy construction and at 11 and a half kilos, it is lightweight and easy to fold... the downsides are: firstly, the footrest gets stuck a little in the storage space, secondly, in order for it to stand upright like in the photo, you have to lock the front wheels, otherwise it won't stand, thirdly, the accessories from the company are relatively expensive and not included with the purchase, fourthly, if you get the black one, it comes with a handle that feels like a sponge and probably doesn't last long, I got leather ones that attach to the handles and it looks like the more expensive one with the silver frame... the rear wheels come off very easily, making it even more compact... personally, I always put the child in the seat and then fold the stroller for safety reasons (don't listen to the jugglers with one hand and such)... it is one of the best strollers available...
You do not buy this stroller for the lightweight category or to put it in the trunk while holding the baby. The stroller is one of the lightest in its category, it folds with the seat on top, if the seat is facing you, it takes up less space when folded compared to if it is facing forward. It fits flat in a regular trunk and takes up half the space, you can also remove the wheels and store it upright. It handles well while driving, goes up and down sidewalks, and handles dirt roads comfortably! I have taken it everywhere. Compared to the Peg Perego Book and Inglesina Trilogy, it is like night and day in terms of driving and also in the space it takes up. It requires a little attention when adjusting the handle height because one side may not latch properly. We got it on sale for 570 with a basket and the Aton B car seat (one of the best on the market with a very good rating) and it was the best choice. Unfortunately, the price of the offer has now increased. I would buy it again without hesitation
It is a beautiful, sturdy construction made of good materials. One of the major positives is that the handle height is adjustable, making it more convenient for taller parents. On the negative side, it is not very easy to open/close and definitely cannot be done with one hand while holding the child. Additionally, it takes up quite a bit of space in the trunk.
This is a sturdy stroller, with very good suspension and it is excellent in handling. The baby is very comfortable on the rough roads of our country, with countless potholes. It easily goes up and down the sidewalks without disturbing the baby. It reclines completely and can be used for newborns. It folds and unfolds very easily. The handle height is adjustable. The bassinet is easily placed either forward or backward.
In a medium-sized car, it takes up the entire trunk and it is definitely not lightweight. However, a woman of average build can easily put it in and take it out of the car. Also, the wheels come off easily for better storage.
Ours had a small flaw in the handle grip and Cybex promptly sent us a new frame.
Perfect footmuff, but unfortunately, you have to pay extra for it, while other companies give it as a gift.
I loved it from the moment I saw it.
My initial research for a stroller focused on 3 things.
First, it had to have good suspension.
Second, it had to fold easily.
Third, it had to be relatively affordable.
The balios s met all three of my requirements, so the only thing I had to choose was the color.
In terms of transportation, we only need to remove the cover behind the trunk to make it stand upright.
So it fits in a 1996 Nissan Micra and a 2018 Opel Corsa. (Including the wheels)
If we want to lay it flat, we need to remove the wheels, which come off easily with a click.
It also fits comfortably flat in an Opel Astra, along with the wheels.
In my opinion, folding it was the easiest, even compared to the videos I had seen before seeing it in person.
(There are videos on YouTube that make our lives easier)
From the beginning, I wanted it to have an adjustable handlebar for height, as we are tall parents, and it suited us well.
I would also like the plastic of the canopy to be a little better, as it comes off when opening the stroller and needs to be reattached, and the fabric gets wrinkled. (It's not a significant drawback)
Cleaning it is very easy, with a damp cloth.
There was no reason to look for something more expensive, as the more expensive models have nothing to envy, and I didn't want to risk getting something cheaper that may have had cheaper materials.
Pros
- Sturdy construction
- Very good quality materials
- Absorbs shocks and moves comfortably and effortlessly on rough terrain, cobblestones, potholes, and dirt roads
- Can be folded with one hand by following these steps: a. Secure the front wheels to go straight (otherwise, when folding the stroller and they are not straight, the stroller falls: this is considered a disadvantage), b. Lower the seat (regardless of whether it is facing forward or backward - be careful when facing backward as during folding it ends up diagonally on the arm), c. Lower the handle to fold it downwards
- Attention: when unfolding, there is a safety feature that attaches the seat to the lower arm
- Fits in an Opel Corsa but takes up the entire trunk
- It is possible for someone to climb a flight of stairs while carrying it
- Machine washable fabric
- Large canopy
- Nice footrest
- Good brakes
- Leather details
- Can be used for newborns as the seat reclines completely
Cons
- Relatively heavy but worth it due to its sturdiness
- The price includes only the stroller, all other accessories are sold separately (footrest, waterproof cover, mosquito net, cup holder, umbrella, diaper bag, etc.). The prices are particularly high (although the quality is very good). Some of these accessories must be purchased from Cybex as they do not fit from other brands.
- The diaper bag is only for women
- The classic plastic hooks on the market do not fit comfortably on the leather part of the handle
- Adapters are required to attach the car seat to the stroller frame, which are sold separately
- It is generally good to watch the company's videos on YouTube to avoid struggling with the functions, how to assemble the stroller, etc.
After 2 months of use:
- Opening and closing the stroller is very cumbersome. The reason is simple: it is impossible to secure the front wheels every time before closing it. As a result, the stroller falls. There is no reason to do this while holding the baby.
- Additionally, my stroller also had a problem. The right axle of the stroller, which rotates when the backrest of the stroller opens, gets stuck, and the stroller does not open. In short, I am left without a stroller.
- During unfolding, many times one side of the stroller gets stuck in the storage compartment of the stroller, and the stroller cannot be opened.
It has very little space for the child's feet and they constantly come out from the sides, it closes difficultly and takes up a lot of space. It is not worth its money, there are much better ones for the same price.
Excellent stroller, sturdy and durable construction, easy to open and close, beautiful, comfortable for the baby and for us. It fits easily in a Toyota Corolla & Yaris, and it's very convenient that the wheels can be removed. We use it in combination with the car seat from the same company, don't forget to also buy the adapters that are sold separately, but they are worth it. It has been very helpful for us to be able to attach the car seat to the stroller for short walks, doctor visits, etc. In my opinion, buy it without hesitation.
Excellent stroller, very comfortable on the road, absorbs shocks. It folds easily, fits in any car trunk and becomes even smaller by removing the rear wheels with just one button. Don't forget to buy the double coffee holder. I highly recommend it.
Very easy to walk with and literally goes everywhere (even on a mountain hike). The only negative thing I can say is that when opening it and it is in a position to look back, the seat gets stuck in the fabric of the storage space and I have to bend down to release it. I believe that when I turn it to face forward, there will be no problem. It fits just right in a 2013 Opel Corsa without removing the wheels.
When you are looking for a stroller, three or four basic things interest you.
To be lightweight (but not fake)
To fold easily
To have good suspension so that the baby doesn't experience any vibrations
To be easy to maneuver
(And not take up too much space in the car)
This stroller has it all.
It is very well constructed, a sturdy stroller that doesn't creak and literally goes everywhere! Its canopy is large and protects the baby from the sun no matter where they are positioned. The baby sits comfortably from the very first day. You don't need to buy a bassinet because it is suitable for use from birth. (You might need a cushion on the seat, but it's not necessary) As for space, I can't be objective because our car is the Skoda Octavia which has a huge trunk. Nevertheless, we put it in the front seat next to the driver and it fit comfortably since the rear wheels can be removed with a button. That's another plus.
Also, very importantly, it folds together with the car seat and can change direction even if the baby is on it.
One negative thing I can mention is that although you can fold it with one hand, it's not so convenient if you have the baby in the other hand because you need to bend down to lock/unlock the wheels, then remove the safety, then bring the seat forward to open it... You have to make some movements that are not easy when the baby is a newborn and doesn't support their head or weighs 15 kilograms. However, there is no stroller that folds easily with one hand except for a cane stroller.
We bought it a year ago, even though there were no reviews anywhere, and we don't regret it at all.
If you can afford it, I highly recommend it!
After extensive research, we ended up with this and we are very satisfied. Our baby sits comfortably, doesn't complain, easy to close, fits in a small to medium-sized car (VW polo 2012), we have had it since 11/2020. It is a bit expensive but worth its money. Comfortable for walks and easy to handle.
I searched the market a lot, I went to many stores to see up close the strollers that I saw on the internet (purchased in Nov 20). This particular stroller is superb. It's worth its money and more. I've been using it since the baby's first month. Durable construction, incredibly ergonomic, excellent handling on walks, also folds very easily and is not bulky. Its only drawback is that it does not include a footmuff in the price like the book 51.
UPDATE: We have had it for a year and the opinion remains the same and even better!
UPDATE 2: Almost 3 years later, having a second child, the stroller continues to offer the same things flawlessly. It doesn't creak or get stuck, only the handle has faded a bit in the areas where you touch it with your hands.
