Flawless.
I loved the gt4 on ps2 and this is exactly like that but better in every way.
It doesn't let you put whatever you want on all cars so there is a difference in performance and makes you research.
The sound is also very good although some say it's not good, probably because they compare it to need for speed, the sound of a car changes more when you change exhaust, manifold and when you remove weight since on the second level it removes soundproofing.
You can experiment for hours with the cars although it's not so easy to make money.

Positives:
1) Beautiful graphics
2) Sound has improved compared to GT Sport
3) Impeccable implementation of the Dualsense. You can feel the ramps of the roads, bumps, curbs of the tracks, etc. I was amazed and congratulations.
4) Challenges and licenses are the strong points of the game, but there were 4-5 moments that were really annoying, especially the drifts....!!!!!!

Graphics: Racing games are visually two steps ahead of their time. Here you play Gran Turismo on Playstation 1 and you see it. Here they have taken it to the next level, as the car models are indistinguishable from reality. In the replays and scapes, you are truly amazed. Stunningly beautiful everywhere with nice realistic weather and time effects. The car models continue to look flawless even if you crash at 200 kilometers per hour. The most visually stunning racing game that has ever existed on Playstation.
Gameplay: A successful recipe doesn't change. It is a simulation racing game but user-friendly for new players. It doesn't have the depth and difficulty of Project Cars, but it remains realistic. Especially with fast cars, every mistake is punished. The interaction with the dual sense is breathtaking. You feel everything on the road. However, after several hours of gameplay, while it has infinite cars and tracks, it feels a bit flat and monotonous. The adrenaline is missing, the fast overtakes are missing, and most importantly, the change in car behavior in damages. It's not possible to crash at 300 kilometers per hour and continue the same. This kind of realism is missing and everything feels flat and monotonous. It definitely has 1000 cars, all the brands, but important cars are missing. Nice graphics on the PS5, I would say they're impressive!
2. The online is decent, with lobbies to join with friends and randoms, and a ranked system with mainly GT3 - GT4 races that change every week... very basic in my opinion :P It could be better, but it is what it is.
3. Lots of cars and tracks and the customization is pretty good.
4. The gameplay is as others have said, sim-arcade, which is both positive and negative. Positive because it's accessible to people who don't have sim racing setups, etc. and are using controllers, and negative because it "loses" in some details compared to hardcore sims like iRacing and Assetto Corsa, but those who haven't played those titles won't have a problem.
5. The sounds of the cars are not at all realistic except for a few that are few and far between... and that's why I give it 4* and not 5. Such a big title and the most basic part is quite below average... still.
Overall, it's a very nice game, with plenty to do and keep you playing for endless hours... especially those who have setups with steering wheels, etc. and take it a bit more seriously, like trying to get gold on all the tracks, race times, etc. That's where the game shines and is worth every penny. Those who are crazy about cars and motorsports, (like me :P) will like it. Of course, as I said, the sound issue is huge and can disappoint people.

I have had it in my possession for a week now. The graphics are amazing and it utilizes the capabilities of the PS5, especially the dualsense, by using "adaptive triggers" and "haptic feedback" which give a wonderful detail to the driving experience. Compared to the previous gt6 - gt sport, it has a more organized "story" and puts you directly into the experience without too much fuss. There is a huge variety of cars to choose from. One downside is that the money is collected quite slowly, making the game more difficult and slower. Another flaw I noticed is the sound. I use the Pulse 3D Headset and I can say that I don't feel the car and the experience I expected, to have in a "next-gen" game. For the 30€ I spent, it's worth it to try on the new console, from a huge Franchise in collaboration with Sony.

I was eagerly anticipating it as a GT fan.
I was expecting it to be better. The graphics for my Sony 4K HDR 120hz TV are just okay. The sound is improved compared to Sport, for example, but it could be better and make better use of the dualsense in terms of sound experience. The sound of the turbine or the pops of the exhausts during downhill runs could be heard from the dualsense for maximum experience. The handling of the cars is greatly improved in combination with the excellent dualsense.
I would say the story is short, meaning in 2 hours of gameplay I reached 15%.

I'm crying over the 100 euros I spent. It's like the GT SPORT UPDATE. It's short in duration and doesn't have many cars. The graphics aren't for next generation consoles, they're the same as the PS4 or with very small differences. The big upgrade is in the driving aspect, they've done an incredible job and in combination with the PS5 Joystick, you won't need a steering wheel.

I won't write about the positives which are plenty (graphics, simulation, sound etc.), I will just mention the 2 major negatives so as to warn someone who is considering buying it.
1) Always online. Yes, ok, we all have access to the internet in 202x, but we are tied to the servers of Polyphony Digital to be operational in order to enjoy even the single player aspect. Recently there was an issue with the servers and people who bought a 70 euro game couldn't enjoy it for a few days because of it.
2) Microtransactions. The reason for the above limitation is so that you can't "mess with" your save file and add extra money or vehicles. The company pressures you in many ways to put money in to unlock content. The latest example is the 1.07 patch, which makes it harder to acquire in-game credits in many cases.Personally, I would wait for the price to drop further (something that has already started) before recommending it to someone.

Since it was one of the few games I had played on the PS3, I had pre-ordered GT7 on the PS5 and received it last Friday, which was the official launch day (to be precise, I received it on Thursday afternoon).
The total size is 108GB, of which the first ~25GB is on the disc, and the remaining 85GB is downloaded from the network. While it's downloading, you can play the Music Rally, which is a new mode, quite funny and enjoyable.
After about 30 hours and having completed the - let's say - "main" game mode of GT7 (the Cafe, which includes 39 "missions"), I am still at 35% of the total game, trophies, races, and cars, so it wouldn't be wrong to estimate that it will take about 100 hours for 100% completion. And of course, this is only for the single-player mode, as you know, GT7 never ends.
Was it worth the €80 pre-order and the wait? Definitely yes. Is it a big step forward compared to GT6 and GTS? Also yes, although personally GTS never excited me. Is it worth getting the PS5 just for GT7? It depends, if you are a fan of racing sims and GT7, then yes, if not, then you can find similar games with cars on other consoles or PC.
I won't do a detailed review, there are hundreds of those, even in Greek, I just want to note that the extremely difficult tests and challenges obviously remain, some additional modes have been added, of course, it is much more difficult to set times with the controller (which is amazing, of course), and generally, the deeper you go, the more difficult and demanding it becomes.
Edit: I should also mention the biggest downside, that Gran Turismo has also fallen victim (and quite heavily) to in-game purchases (IGP).
Until the end of the Cafe (the 39 missions), you can manage with the money you earn from races, especially if you are careful and get the bonuses for "clean race" and first place in individual races of the championships. In other words, you can progress through the missions without struggling with buying cars and necessary upgrades (hint: always start with a racing tire, it makes a huge difference, you can win races with just one set of racing tires).
However, the problem starts as soon as you complete the missions and have to start collecting cars. If you're not a completionist and just want to pass the time, no problem. But if you want to buy the available cars, it's simply impossible with in-game credits. There are dozens of cars that cost from one to several million (especially the Legend cars), so to buy even some of them, you need to grind for several hours (roughly 1-1.5 million per hour), let alone to buy the 400-something cars. The other option is obviously to buy credits, which costs about €20 per (expensive) car!!!!
I may be a fanatic fan of GT and quite a completionist, but (a) I don't want, can't handle, and don't have time for such a grind, and (b) I can't tolerate paying €80 for the game and wanting another €20 for some cars in the ALREADY purchased game.
Edit2: I am modifying my rating and evaluation of GT7 after the recent events and Kaz's ridiculous announcement. Almost 30 hours offline, so not even the single-player mode was working, even worse with the microtransactions (which are not "micro" at all) and of course Kaz's funny announcement practically saying "this is it, if you want, we'll see later". It's a shame such a good game is being destroyed by such bad -financial- choices.
Edit3: (and last!) after the latest updates, the in-game economy has improved, new cars, new tracks (at least new layouts) and new events have been added, so it seems like it's starting to find its pace. Now I would say "get it"

Unfortunately, it's not more than in Gran Turismo 6, but more will come through updates. So be patient. The driving school can teach you everything about racing, even if you're playing a racing game for the first time in your life. Something we've never seen in another Gran Turismo is the fact that you communicate with people no matter what you do. You have people who guide you through the game, people who give you information about each of your steps, and more. It's nothing like Gran Turismo Sport, which left you to figure things out on your own... The cafe is a function through which the cafe owner, Luca, tells you various information about different cars and gives you various missions (such as collecting cars through races). If you succeed, you unlock new tracks. There are a total of 45 tracks in the game. And you know what the best part is? Kazunori Yamaguchi, the game's founder, has stated that even more tracks will be added to the game through updates! The realism in driving is better than ever! A "season" update of gt sport, honestly.
The only significant difference is the haptics of the ps5 controller.
Graphics are beautiful but that's it..not mind-blowing, the chase cam is glitchy.
The sound is terrible and that's where I expected the difference but it disappointed me.
It's not possible for the car to sound like that when changing gears (play it and you'll remember me) and the car doesn't sound like it's fully upgraded.
It has its positives but maybe due to the comparison I had from Forza Motorsport 7 on xbox, Gt seems very little to me.

I will start with the positives.
As a fan of Gran Turismo since the PlayStation 1 era, I have been disappointed and will disappoint the series' enthusiasts.
The graphics are based on the GT Sport engine of the PS4 with the simple addition of ray tracing (only in replays, scapes, and photo mode) and simply running at 60fps. Yes, it looks very nice, but that is not enough.
The sound is the same as GT Sport for those who do not have Sony's Pulse 3D. But even then, the difference is not that big. Anyone who has experienced high-quality 3D sound understands.
The handling has not undergone any drastic changes. The change has been made thanks to the controller, which you can tell in the DS4 where you essentially do not see a difference.
The way penalties are managed in online races has not changed. It has the same flawed system as GT Sport.
It is the familiar Gran Turismo, for better or worse.
In other words, the changes between GT Sport and GT 7 are simply superficial on the PS4 and simply expected on the PS5.
Beyond that, if you value your money, read about what to expect as an experience.
THE FOLLOWING APPLIED AT THE RELEASE DATE
Finally, they returned to the old style with missions to progress in the game instead of playing the game modes just to grind credits to buy cars. Here we encounter one of the game's major obstacles. Sony, in its attempt to squeeze every penny, because I cannot describe it any other way, forced the game developers, whom you just paid €70 or €80 to buy the game, to include microtransactions. This means that the game is designed to force you to spend real money to buy in-game credits in order to buy some of the ridiculously expensive cars.
Racing and earning money has always been part of Gran Turismo. This time, however, the game gives you credits in small amounts. Let me explain. Almost throughout the entire campaign, the car you need to use to complete the Coffee Menus (a new mode, like a quest) has lower PP than the event's minimum requirement. So you have to tune it up, which costs between 100,000cr and 200,000+cr. You have to spend this amount for each car you want to have the option to modify. As if that's not enough, you have to spend money on almost everything (body parts, oils, lights, paint, etc.). The coupons you earn after reaching certain milestones or Coffee Menus give you a small relief, which 90% of the time is 5,000cr to 10,000cr. They also give other rewards, but good luck winning something substantial. Until GT Sport, all cars were purchased from the Brand Central. In GT 7, they have removed the classic/collectible cars and placed them in the Legend Cars building, where they are priced based on real appraisal estimates. This would be fair if you could sell the cars you have duplicates of or simply don't want, just like in reality. But reality only applies when it comes to the cost of cars. It is clear that the game has been designed to put all the content you would want behind a paywall, meaning pay to have access, otherwise, grind in the game to maybe save up enough money to buy the car you like. With many models costing from 2,000,000+cr to 20,000,000+cr (€200 if you buy credits), it will take you a cruelly long time to collect them. Otherwise, buy credits with real money. Simply unacceptable.

Following the general outcry of the players, Polyphony Digital, to its credit, is changing the game's economy with an update that will be released in early April.
- Increase in rewards in the second half of the World Circuits by an average of 100%.
- Addition of high-value rewards for completing the Circuit Experience with all Gold/Silver awards.
- Increase in rewards in Online Races.
- Eight new one-hour endurance race events will be added to Missions. These will also have higher reward settings.
- Increase in the maximum amount in players' wallets from 20 million Cr. to 100 million Cr.
- Increase in the quantity of used and Legend cars offered at any given time.
- In addition to this, more World Circuit events will be added, full endurance races, including 24-hour races, online time trials with appropriate payments, and - most importantly - players will be able to sell cars in their virtual garages for credits.------|------
Another unacceptable element of the game is the always online feature. If your connection drops, you cannot play the game you paid for. Not even the single-player parts.
Artificial Intelligence or A.I. In their words and presentations, they presented the game's A.I. as something groundbreaking. From my experience so far, I have to say that the opponents have an obsession with sticking to their line, ignoring whether you have taken their inside or not. They come and crash into you because they have to follow their predetermined path. At first, I thought it was just a mistake of the A.I. to make it more realistic. When I started testing it, I saw it happening many times, and many times it ignores whether you are next to them or not.
Coffee Menus, Missions, and general handling. The fact that such an expensive production does not use voice overs for the car dedications after missions, or for the instructions given in licenses and races, is simply outdated in 2022.
Online. The multiplayer part of the game has many connectivity issues. Many times it does not connect at all or throws errors, and even if you connect, it does not mean you will have the best experience, even if your connection has good latency.
As for the menu handling, they managed to make it worse than GT Sports. You don't have easy access to your garage. If you enter a menu and need to change something, a car or a part, you have to press the button 3-4 times to go back to the main map or go to the menu on the top left and return from there to the main map. It could have been done with a simple long press of the button to exit there. In races, there is no longer a way to see the opponents' PP before the race. Also, you cannot see the weather. Many times on the initial screen it was raining, what could be more logical than putting wet tires for a wet track, but when you entered the race, it was just cloudy or the opposite. Overall, poorly designed navigation in the game's menus and strange choices for a simulator.
Overall, the game is disappointing. It could have been more fair to its fans, especially on its 25th anniversary. Many words and promises in the videos for changes that are not actually implemented in the game. Many shortcomings, the same vehicles as GT Sports with a few additions. Things that were functional in GT Sports have disappeared and we are left with poor navigation in the menus. Finally, the always online (in other words DRM) is simply unacceptable, especially for single player parts, on a platform that does not face piracy. After the update in early April, the unacceptable design of the game that encouraged players to spend real money will change, and it will become more generous with the credits it gives you. A good sign for the future of the game. If you are on PS5 and can digest the above, you will have a great time, as the game is a visual delight, otherwise wait for the discounts.
With the changes that will come with the update in early April, it becomes more attractive as a purchase on PS4. However, I would recommend finding it on sale or used and continue playing GT Sports.

In terms of graphics, we have an incredibly well-crafted example of 4k60 mixing with perfectly placed reflections, lighting, and particles when it comes to races. The only choice given is whether the user prefers to see a 60fps presentation car or a ray-traced car in the replay, menu, and scrapes. The sound is also something they worked on a lot. Car upgrades affect it in a pleasant final result. It offers a 3D sound option that takes it to another level.
There are no loading scenes, but regularly placed transition effects. My opinion is that they are somewhat useless, but they probably left room for improvement for the next GT. In general, the menu theme needs a makeover. No matter how fast your SSD is, there is no reason to have to exit from one license test to go to the next. The same goes for course masteries. Something is wrong with the sweet spot, and they need to connect it more.
Where I was blown away was in the use of the Dual Sense. You feel every puddle. You feel which wheel starts to slip on the turn. You feel when you can press the brake, when it has locked, when it has touched the grass, when you pass bearings on bridges. If you want, you can turn it off.
The career is incredibly well-designed and studied. They have made it more RPG than ever, of course. But everything is going to waste. The worst part, the biggest dirt, is the requirement of always online. Always online while playing multi, I would accept it. Always online in some versus or trial mode where you post the results on a leaderboard, it would be acceptable. But if you are not always connected, you do not have access to the career, and therefore to the licenses, races, cups, championships, the three car dealerships, scrapes, GT Auto and Tuning Shop, and countless other places that I forget. You only have access to the Music Rally and one fixed race. At some point, a few years from now, a poor guy will put the disc in his PS5/6 to play, but the servers will be closed, and the game will only be the Music Rally and one race. Whoever has the mentality of "come on, another racing FIFA is," will have a good time until they find the next game that will win them over. Those who are game preservers/nostalgics, etc., know that the game is officially borrowed. You will return it/they will take it from you whether you want it or not in a few years.
