Owner of the Xiaomi 14t pro for about a month now, so I can have a first opinion as well. Well:
Positives
1. The phone has quite a premium design (except for the slightly protruding camera panel) and you feel like you have a phone worth 1000+ euros in your hand.
2. The screen, with the right settings and also as a default option, is very beautiful with a clear image.
3. It doesn't lag at all, and I have used it with many simultaneous applications running.
4. The hyperos, especially 2.0 (mobile software), if you get used to it, is a step above the previous software.
5. The speaker is satisfactory for both music and calls.
6. Photos are a step below the s24 ultra but still among the best (the selfie I would say is two steps below).
7. Updates until Android 18 and even a year later still receiving updates.
Negatives
1. The battery. The battery, while it is 5000 mAh, struggles to last the day (from 7 in the morning to 10 at night) with considerable use and everything open. If you are on Facebook and YouTube with mobile data, it will drain about 8-11% per hour, and if you are gaming, it might reach 13-15, but with the right settings, 10% is achievable with considerable use. Without much use, with some scrolling and calls, it gave me 62 hours (100%-19%), but you don't buy it to use it only that much every day. In general, as a summary, I would say one day of use; now if they make an update tomorrow or the day after, it might improve. Just know that in one month, the battery's behavior always improves because the phone learns your usage and adapts.
2. The phone, under considerable use, reached a temperature of 41.2 degrees for me personally. It's not terrible, but in the summer, I know it will reach 43-44. Assuming I don't have a glass protector but the factory film, a good case, and the manufacturer says that up to 45 degrees is considered perfectly normal, then it might not be such a problem. After some research, I read that up to 48 degrees is normal for phones, and more premium ones like the s24 ultra have reached 50. If you are recording 4k video, then it heats up faster, but that's normal.
3. It no longer comes with a charger, and you have to buy one if you don't have a Xiaomi because another fast charger I tried from another brand didn't work. For 34 euros, I recommend the official 67w charger because the 120w isn't worth it for me; I charge it from 19-100 with the 67w in 40 minutes.
4. As I mentioned above, the selfie could perhaps be better, especially in low light, but with the right settings, it gets somewhat satisfactory.
Conclusion
The phone is worth the top price of 680 euros; you will enjoy it. With the right settings, the battery will last you a day with considerable use, but it charges very quickly anyway, and for me, it is a good purchase both now and for the coming years, as I believe it will easily last you 3 years or even more. I would give it an 8.5/10 overall rating
