Indeed, as a user of the 11Pro Max, I made the switch even though I was a bit hesitant about whether the change was worth it. In the end, it is worth it and then some.
For the 16 Pro Max, I had higher expectations in the year 2024. The camera cannot do more than x15 in video and can only do up to x25 zoom in photo mode, while other brands in previous models can do x100-x120. Other than that, they added the camera button, which is unnecessary. Anyone who has the 14-15 Pro and Pro Max should not even think about buying it; they will regret their money!
As a Samsung user for the last 12-13 years, I decided this year to make a change and see what this much-praised iOS is all about that everyone claims is the best. So it happened, I bought the above phone at the price of 1400 euros. The phone is truly a diamond on the outside; I expected nothing less from Apple since it is one of the areas they particularly focus on. Practically speaking, the camera is excellent for video and for capturing photos during the day and afternoon. The darkness is not a major drawback, but it is not its strong point either. The phone operates at lightning speeds and shows no signs of slightest fatigue. The BIGGEST advantage of the phone, of course, is the battery; it truly stops being a problem in your daily life. With the nightly charging that we all usually do, the phone lasts all day without the need for charging during the day. As for the new button for zooming the camera, it is not something I use often, and I cannot provide a fair review. Also, for anyone who has doubts about transferring from one ecosystem to another, both companies have the experience to make it extremely painless. Those who are anxious about passwords they have in autofill, etc., there is an option for Google Chrome to communicate with the Apple ID, and data exchange happens instantly. Finally, as someone who always had subscriptions even on Android where you can have "cracked" versions of apps without paying, I was not particularly bothered by Apple's strictness regarding downloading APK files. An expensive product with extreme performance, it is generally for people who desire the best!
The phone turned on, updated, and got stuck there. It neither shuts down nor does anything. Locked screen. Made in China. The battery is draining. I'm taking it back.
I have been an Android user for over 10 years with my previous model being the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+. I decided to buy the iPhone 16 Pro Max because I wanted to experience something different and try something new since I was tired of having Samsung for 10 years. Different feel, excellent device quality, advanced software with smart and useful features, outstanding camera, and a battery that easily lasts 2 days with heavy use; Is it worth the money? It's relative. It could have better specifications like RAM/storage. It's accepted that it has software that doesn't need more to perform well, but with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, its price would be more objective. If you want something quality, safe, you like it, and you don't change devices every year, go for it. I don't regret it and I don't think I will go back to Android, not because of performance because the flagships are not far apart, especially for people who are not tech-savvy, the difference is not noticeable, but because the desire for the unknown, the different, and the uniqueness - the mystery that is inherent in this particular brand has been fulfilled.
User of iPhone for quite a few years. Everyone knows that as new models come out, the older ones, with the updates they receive, start to malfunction, freeze, etc. Recently transitioned from iPhone 13 to iPhone 16 Pro Max, and my opinion is as follows. Amazing resolution, huge screen that takes time to get used to, the phone often needs to be operated with both hands due to its size. Not significant differences from the 13 in speed and camera. The most important thing is that on the second day of use (purchase from iStorm), the screen suddenly went completely black without even using or pressing it, and I had to perform a FORCED RESTART. And for these reasons, 3/5 I believe is a very fair rating considering its price
From iPhone 7 I went to iPhone 12 and now I went to 16 pro max. Okay, compared to the regular models, the pro max has nothing to do with the screen and photo quality. It's a great phone, I’m not saying it isn’t, but… in the year 2025 I would never spend that much money on a phone (it was a gift from my job) maybe if I were American with an American salary I would give it 5/5 stars
Coming from flagship Android devices and buying an iPhone for the first time in my life, I have to say that there's a lot of hype for nothing. Aside from the fact that it's recognizable everywhere and you feel like you're actually holding something that you paid a fortune for, it doesn't do almost anything better than an S24 Ultra, for example, which you can get for 600 euros less!!!! at retail prices. The only thing that is noticeably better, I would say, is video recording. For me, never again an iPhone.
I bought the phone yesterday and I didn't even have time to see the camera; the phone froze during the update before it even properly opened. I couldn't turn it on or off, resulting in it overheating. Naturally, I took it back to the store the next day, and according to Apple's rules, we sent it to headquarters. In 10 business days, I will have received a response about whether I threw 1499€ in the trash or if I will have a phone after all these days. That's it!
Great camera, comfy to use, great screen. This iPhone is (not) really good. I found that there is a battery drop so fast even when not in use. Apple gotta fix it.
From 1998 until now, I had never spent more than 300 euros on a mobile phone. I ended up here due to the compatibility of its operating system with other devices I needed. After about a month of use, I have come to the following conclusions.
Screen quality 8 (might require adjustments)
Speaker quality 9
Performance quality 8.5 (two freezes so far)
Photo quality 8
Night photo quality 9
Charging speed 9
Face recognition speed 9
Practicality of the new button 7
Practicality/freedoms compared to an Android 7
Battery duration 8
Mobile signal reception 6 (surprisingly)
In the photographic samples, apart from the rose, the other photos were taken in extremely low light with impressive results. The sheet with almost nonexistent lighting and the books are X1 X5 X10 zoom from the same position where with the naked eye you could discern no more than 60 to 70% of the information the photo provided.
The overall impression is that all the so-called flagship phones do not have significant differences, and the actual need for acquiring them concerns no more than 15% of those who get them. One example is Nikos, who as a professional in the security field has installed about 5000 cameras, of which 120 relate to a nursing home and a sacred temple, and at any moment he must check their proper functioning. Obviously, he belongs to that 15% for whom the phone is a real tool and requires the best.
Now for all of us... Generally speaking, despite the huge range of value differences between the phone I had and this one, I can't say that the price is justified in Greece; perhaps in the USA, where it has a 30% lower price, it might be more competitive.
As a holder of the previous iPhone 15 Pro, I had bad impressions regarding its battery. I upgraded to the 16 Pro Max and it "filled" the gap I had with the battery life of the 15 Pro. After two weeks of using the 16 Pro Max, I am absolutely satisfied with its features and of course with its battery life, which with personal use (social media, emails, YouTube, and quite a few phone calls) lasts me around 25 hours. Regarding the "NEW" camera button, it's almost unnecessary but not as bothersome as some have mentioned.
First time on iPhone after s8 -s22 ultra, they say that once you get into its operating system you never go back to android. They were right! Unbelievable really! Everything is simple, easy, fast..
Change from 14 pro.
The difference is obvious to me. Especially in the battery! It is much better by 15%.
It is incredibly fast, of course, it doesn't lag anywhere.
The camera finally has that of the max models.
It sits in the hand much better due to the curves at the edges!
I also want to emphasize that the difference in the smaller bezels of the screen is noticeable.
It is once again a perfect mobile phone from Apple.
I want to emphasize that this is the third iPhone in my possession as I had flagship Androids for years.
From iPhone 12 Pro I went to 16 Pro Max, the differences are like night and day with the cameras, screen, battery, and sound making the most noticeable difference. Surely, it is not worth changing your phone every year as you don't see significant differences that way. Personally, I think it's ideal to change your phone every 4 years when the battery has significantly degraded but the phone still has value to sell and upgrade to a new one.
I expected something better in the year 2024; spending so much money and essentially not seeing extra features is disappointing. To move from a previous generation iPhone to the next, the previous one now has to be broken; otherwise, what’s the reason besides the so-called brand... At least I sold it
User iPhone 8 after 7 years I changed and got the 16 pro max. I have had it in my hands for 2 days and I have to say the camera, screen, speaker are excellent. Overall it is a device that is worth its money and I do not regret getting this model.
As a user of the 13 Pro Max, I have to say that from the very first touch, it feels amazing! Lighter, more elegant, better screen with less bezel! I immediately opened the camera, and compared to the 13 Pro Max, the differences are huge! The design is okay, the same, but the camera button makes the difference! It could be a bit cheaper; however, the experience of handling such a phone goes to another dimension! Enjoyment to the users who will choose it!
Excellent device. I ordered on 09/13 when pre-orders opened at the very well-known blue authorized Apple store and received it on 09/26. As a former owner of the iPhone 12 Pro Max, you can immediately notice the differences upon first contact. The battery is clearly improved and does not reach high temperatures during use like my previous phone did. The photo and video quality are excellent and very high resolution. As for the photo button, the so-called captured button, I personally find it indifferent as the old traditional way through the screen is just as easy for me. However, I consider it a very good purchase for those who own an iPhone older than the 13 Pro Max because the differences in a closer device are smaller.
Unnecessary upgrade especially for holders of 14-15. Only the 4k 120 for slow motion and maybe the styles and the ultra wide in photography have something to say, which in no way justify the upgrade. For so many years I've been getting black ones and I got this one white, just to deceive myself that it’s a different phone.
Upgrade from 15 Pro Max to 16 Pro Max. Anyone who has anything below 14 Pro Max and upgrades to 15 or 16 will notice significant differences. Anyone who has 15 and goes to 16 will notice the difference in the camera, the extra button that allows you to adjust the color tone when taking photos, and the slightly larger screen. The processor is very powerful. Regarding videos, it performs exceptionally well. Those who are into it can use it to the fullest and produce quality and serious work. I prefer to use a camera or drone for videos, but the company released the phone for anyone who wants to do videography. Regarding photos, I prefer the camera of the 16 over the 15. The battery is clearly improved and does not have high temperatures during use as was the case with the previous model. If you have a company and can change devices without VAT, change it when the next one comes out; otherwise, it’s not worth it. Also, you don’t have the A.I. It’s supposed to be changed to have that feature.
Transitioning from iPhone 15 Pro Max to iPhone 16 Pro Max, let me start with the screen, which is slightly larger and brighter. The camera is even better, the button is very cool, and the processor is classically Apple, lightning-fast. The sound is crystal clear, but the biggest positive compared to the previous one is the battery life, which with full usage (Instagram, YouTube, games) at the end of the day I still have 60%. Incredible, well done Apple!
From 15 pro max to 16 pro max, the upgrade may not be worth it.
Everything is a click better, battery life, camera, screen size, etc., but it's not wow
In love with the sound it has. The microphones, its flawless battery, how it works. Amazing phone. I won't talk about money. Very right in everything, I would say 10/10, I have it in dessert. And I believe over time it will get even better from me 5/5
