At its price, it is very fair. It is as quiet as it needs to be, as convenient as possible, the USB ports work normally, and the only thing that broke after many years and considerable use is the volume slider. At home, I have a gaming one for heavier use, but at the office, I wouldn't change it; I would buy it again.
This is the second one I am buying for my new PC. The old one I have for a few years has many broken keys, those in the top row of function keys (F1 - F12). They require a strong press, otherwise you hear the click but they are dead. It would be nice if they worked, but it's a minor issue. The other 100+ keys work just fine. For the price, it's a good purchase (X2) that I have made
The keys do not have a particularly good feel, they are very soft, and the small bumps-guides for the fingers (on the F and J) are so subtle that I end up looking at my fingers
Good keyboard, only the ALT+SHIFT combination for some reason gives me more trouble than in others. It doesn't "catch" easily
The clip that fastens the armrest support, which is completely plastic, will break easily. However, the support feels good and its buttons are quite user-friendly and pleasant to touch. It is a very good value for money.
It is perfect because it also has front USB ports that offer you extra convenience for your everyday needs
I have it for over a month in everyday use. It doesn't make much noise. It has a wrist base. The sound adjustment is done with a rotating wheel!!!! The silver line around it gives it elegance. It looks beautiful on the desk. It's worth it
First time I sit down and write a review for a keyboard. I mean, come on. Don't buy it. The keys don't press well, they get lost when typing fast. I have wasted a lot of time correcting mistakes. And of course, it's not even silent.
Also, the USB ports don't work. It doesn't even accept a USB stick. Not to mention that it freezes sometimes and I have to unplug it and plug it back into the USB.
For its price, it's not worth it.
For the price, it's the best thing I've bought! The only negative (for me) is that the Enter key is of the same height as the rest, and I'm used to a larger one
Excellent for me. I love the feel of the keys, although they are not silent. I actually like the noise they make. I can write comfortably for many hours. I recommend it.
Everything is fine .. but sometimes a key gets stuck and repeats about 15 times. It doesn't happen often ... max 1-2 times a day, but I expected something better from DELL, that's why -2 stars!
Second comment
I reported the problem to DELL. They sent me another keyboard in a few days ... of the box! I really didn't expect that.
Unfortunately, the second one has the same issue.
But in terms of after-sales service ... it's 100% excellent for Dell, and that's a little. Which, in my opinion, is one of the most important criteria when buying technology products.
I bought it mainly because of the wheel for intensity! It is not a cheap keyboard and it has many extra keys but also 2 USB ports to connect more peripherals (I have connected the mouse and a flash drive). The only thing I would like it to have is backlit keys for the night. It is perfect for office use.
Edit: 6 months later, the keyboard remains equally reliable. The only negative thing is that I still haven't gotten used to it. Due to work, I use a Logitech keyboard where I write flawlessly. But with this one, I always press the wrong keys.
For those who know.. what you should mainly check before buying a keyboard in my opinion is:
a) Left SHIFT (the key should be large),
b) BACKSPACE (the key should be large),
c) the keys should have a slightly curved shape internally and not be flat.
d) Ideally, the DELETE key should be exactly above (in the same line) as the up arrow, i.e. here in this specific keyboard it is the END key,
e) Those who desire it will be served by the "Multimedia Keyboard".
In this specific keyboard, there is also a volume adjustment wheel.
The typing experience is very good.
It also has 2 USB ports on top (below the three indicator lights) so you can connect, for example, the mouse.
Overall, compared to what is available in the market, I would buy it again!!!
A small drawback is that the letters shine with light and appear double, I suppose because they must be stickers and not laser engraved, but there is no issue of them wearing out.
Very good as a first impression, innovative sound wheel and I wonder why other companies haven't used it. Time will tell about its durability.
Coming from an Apple keyboard, I didn't have high expectations for this one due to its low price. Now that I'm using it, I can say that it is one of the most value for money purchases I have ever made. It has a very nice feel, perfect key response, and relatively quiet for its standards (OK, it's not as quiet as low-profile keyboards, but it's as quiet as I would like!). It's worth it, give it a try!
Nice minimalist design with very good ergonomics. The wheel for sound is very convenient.
The only drawback is that it does not have Greek symbols on the keys, which can be a bit inconvenient for beginners.
Incredibly CONVENIENT keyboard. I had the Microsoft Desktop 600 for Business and replaced it with this Dell one, it is much much much better. No comparison. The hands go on their own, the buttons have a much better feel, very comfortable and relaxing. I would definitely buy it again!
The most value for money there is. Especially the shortcuts it has on the top (volume control, calculator, internet, mail, etc.) are very convenient!
In one year, the buttons were pressing by themselves. The response from Dell through Cosmomarket was that the warranty for peripherals is only for one year. The legislation states that all products sold in the EU are covered for at least two years, but I did not receive a response from Dell regarding this.
Good key feel. Perhaps for some it may be prohibitive that it does not have Greek characters below some English ones as is customary in the Greek market, however for more experienced users this will not be a particular issue. Personally, I found the series with the multimedia keys located at the top of the keyboard to be particularly useful, and the volume adjustment "wheel" really impressed me.
The keyboard is without exaggeration one of the best on the market. I used the Dell 216 for many years, which is also excellent, but this one is better. The reason is very simple: it doesn't have the useless Function key (Fn) of the 216, and it has two Windows keys.
For me, a good keyboard should have the following features:
1. Full size, but with proper spacing between keys (e.g. the arrow keys should not be stuck to the right Ctrl)
2. Good quality and durability
3. Nice feel and key travel
4. US ANSI layout (long enter, large left shift, definitely)
5. Three and only three keys to the left of the space (Ctrl, Win, Alt)
6. Four and only four keys to the right of the space (Alt, Win, Right-click, Ctrl)
7. Volume control adjustment
Well, this keyboard is one of the few that covers all these features, and at a low price. No-brainer.
Excellent, I highly recommend it.
+ The company is extremely reliable.
+ Very elegant and beautiful, truly enhances the desk.
+ Very convenient keys for voice and shortcuts in general, plus the scroll wheel for sound.
+ Comes with a plastic wrist rest as a gift, for more comfortable use.
+ All of this for under 20€ is value for money, I got it for 18€ and it works perfectly and has been very helpful.
+ Nice keys, both in terms of feel and spacing between them
It is a very good keyboard. I had the laptop's low keyboard and I had no problem, I got used to it immediately and I really like the feeling of it. It is not silent in any case, but personally, it doesn't bother me.
It is a GOOD keyboard, nice feeling when pressing the keys, not particularly noisy, okay, a little noisier than a laptop keyboard, BUT be careful because personally I had a specific issue: On the left shift key (which obviously applies to all keyboards, but it happened to me now). > The left shift key is smaller than usual and the rest of it is the vertical bar (|). As far as I understand, obviously some countries use a keyboard with this layout and others use the large left shift. It bothered me a little at first (although it was ultimately shown in the product photo in the store, I saw it later) with the small shift. I got used to it, okay. Overall, though, it is a decent keyboard, worth it.
The only downside for me is that the keys make a bit of noise compared to an older keyboard I had that broke. Other than that, it's a great value for money.
UPDATE 2024:
Possibly one of the best keyboards I have tried in 4 years and it's still going strong.
One of the nicest and most convenient keyboards I have used, with a nice key feel and a very good value for money. Plus, the volume adjustment with the wheel. Minus, the very low feet (I put the wrist rest behind for additional height).
Comfort in writing. I got it during the period of the coronavirus and so far I am pleased with its use. At first, it was a bit difficult for me because it doesn't have the plastic casing that common keyboards have, where my hand would rest while typing. However, I gradually got used to it
It also has two USB ports for you to plug in your mouse there. You can't plug in a USB stick there as it doesn't provide enough voltage.
