It belongs to the aids for learning difficulties, however, I chose it for my 5-year-old daughter who expressed a strong desire to learn how to read while she was in kindergarten. It is extremely well-structured and very user-friendly for someone who is not an educator. I don't know how the textbooks for the first grade are structured, if they have the same logic in learning syllables initially, but this is a gem. If you want your children to learn how to write and read before elementary school, don't get stuck on the title "learning difficulties". Choose this one instead!
