    I am a bit torn. On one hand, it is definitely the most effective straightener I have ever used (and I had the steampod for 10 years). It straightens quickly, easily, and the result lasts. On the other hand, you cannot adjust the temperature and I think it is fixed at such a high temperature that it burns the hair, causing split ends very quickly. Also, if you do one pass to straighten and a second one to curl, they get even more damaged. I keep it for special occasions.
