Description

The Endgame Gear OP1 is the wired gaming mouse with the smallest OP shape, the PixArt PAW3395, the exclusive Kailh GX main button mechanical switches, the angle pressure relief, the Flex Cord 5.0, the 1000Hz polling rate, and the STM ARM Cortex-M4 MCU. With the hybrid skate design, the OP1 comes with 2 sets of skates, with the smaller set pre-installed, and both the small and large sets of skates allow access to the screws for opening the OP1 to change the main button switch without removing the skates.

Kailh GX switches developed by Endgame Gear

The Kailh GX switches are a must-have for dedicated gamers and tech enthusiasts who desire lightning-fast precision. Our team at Endgame Gear collaborated with Kailh to create a mechanical switch with unique internals and features. During development, the main focus was on a short and well-defined click feel. The Kailh GX switches, rated for 80 million actuations, are housed in a sleek yellow transparent shell, further highlighting their unique internal design. The flawless, spam-friendly rapid-fire actions are due to their precise actuation point and balanced design. What makes these switches stand out is the clean, defined click feel, providing tactile feedback that enhances game control.

Redesigned Shape for Versatile Grip

With a lightweight construction just over 50 grams, the OP1 gaming mouse offers unparalleled comfort during those intense gaming sessions, allowing you to focus on your performance. Drawing inspiration from the popular XM shape, the OP1 takes it up a notch, maintaining an emphasis on claw grips. Its flatter sides provide ultimate flexibility for finger placement, making it excellent for players with larger hands. The extended side walls prevent accidental clicks, allowing you to rest your fingers on the edge without interruptions. This subtle yet significant design change offers additional comfort and control, catering to players with different hand sizes and grip styles.

No energy saving

Thanks to the Flex Cord 5.0 cable and the permanent data connection to the computer, the OP1 does not need to save energy. The lack of energy-saving features and the permanent operation with a sensor cable mean that the device is always at its peak performance, ready to execute your every move (or click) with unparalleled precision and accuracy. While other mice may experience a slight delay upon waking, ours remains ready for action at any moment.

Interchangeable main button switches with optional switch packs

What makes a mouse click great? Ask this question to 10 people and get 11 different answers. Everyone has their own preferences, and sometimes we just want to use what no one else is using. Although the Kailh GX switch is a switch with a very good combination of short internal travel, crisp actuation point, and waste capability, you may still want to try your favorite switch. All OP1 mice feature a main button switch design with interchangeable switches accessible via screws on the bottom plate. This allows for easy customization, giving you the perfect click feel tailored to your preferences. Choose from a variety of switch packs that offer different click sensations and follow our simple step-by-step guide to replace the switches. With the universal switch pack, you can use any mechanical switch you can find, without soldering.

Hybrid Skating Design

Similar to the preference for the click feel, the way a gaming mouse should glide is a science in itself and also depends on the type of games you play the most. The OP1 comes with a so-called hybrid skate design. This means that out of the box, we have chosen a smaller set of skates that offer an excellent balance between surface, weight, and sliding properties. Additionally, we include in the package a larger set of skates and a sensor skate, which is especially beneficial for softer mousepads. If you want to minimize the surface area of your mouse skates, e.g., for use on a glass pad, the large grooves of the OP1 skates give you plenty of options to place your favorite dot skates. The screws on the bottom plate are accessible to open the mouse and change the main button switches without removing the skates.

Patented Analog Technology

The OP1 can go beyond traditional signal de-noising for click detection thanks to a patented analog technology. With the patented analog technology and the built-in STM32 Arm Cortex M4 MCU microcontroller, the internal signal processing delay of the OP1 remains well below one millisecond, resulting in extremely low click latency.

This is a great gaming mouse. I have used many mice recently that have been wireless and going back to a wired mouse felt a bit weird at first but now i am used to the wire again, not 100% but almost there. The shape is great for me, always preferred smaller slimer mice. The build quality is great the mouse feels solid the cable is very soft angled upwards and doesn't get in the way too much a mouse bungy or something similar is recommended though. This mouse is also boasting the lowest click latency which i can confirm in tests you can notice it (in game might not be as noticeable but its there). About the polling rate i would say don't bother with the 8k it causes issues in games like stutters and sound artifacts etc, also in windows dragging a window on a second monitor bugs out the window snapping and you cant cross it to the other screen. 4k polling rate seems ok in games for me but still has the issue in windows. I am using this mouse as main gaming mouse at 2k polling rate at the moment. The software for the mouse is very simple and light although not fancy, no installation needed and nothing like the horrible software razer has for example. Comparing it to mice i used recently i would have to compare with the following Ninjutso sora v2, Razer Viper v2, Xtrify mz1 wireless and i will say that i hated the razer viper v2 for both the size/shape, software and cheaper material but it was a very good mouse as far as performance goes, the mz1 was great as far as shape goes might have been my favorite shape even, the op1 is a second since the have similar thickness i think i will give the mz1 left/right button angle and curve an advantage but the mz1 quality was average as most xtrify mice, i had a mz1 wired before it and the cable started malfunctioning after a few months and also it didn't feel great when making bigger movements since the bottom wasn't completely flat, also i don't like holes, it is not as light and the weight was more towards the bottom, not very balanced. The sora v2 was in-between them in shape and size a bit thicker than the mz1 which i didn't like but much lighter at 40 grams it was great over all, flatter bottom, web based software, solid construction but i didn't like its left/right button clicks a bit springy with high travel distance although maybe a bit lighter than the op1 and the battery life was like 2-3 days tops which made me play with cable some times since i forgot to charge it a reason that helped me move towards the op1 wired as well. Overall i recommend this mouse but also check its bigger brother xm2 8k if you don't like slimer mice, for wireless you can wait for the wireless 4k version of the op1 that i didn't see in skroutz when i wrote the review (click latency is higher than the wired) . I also recommend the sora v2 highly but you wont find it in skroutz.

This review is about the colour: Black

one of the best mice in the market right now and in the future possibly, the cable is EXTREMELY good, it literally feels wireless if you have a bungee.

The sensor is the best I have ever used on a mouse (and I've used plenty high end mice)
the weight is really good and properly distributed

the black coating gets oily very fast, I have started washing my hands like 3-5x more to not completely cover the mouse in skin oils.

I cannot put anything lower than 5 stars as the mouse is legit the best mouse I have ever used.

if I could rate it on a scale from 1 to 10 I would put a 9.5/10 and that 0.5 is lost because of the black coating.
