Very good product. I have bought 3 devices (as gifts, for a second home). It makes very good espresso (I use illy) with crema. I can't understand some people who consider it a negative that it is not automatic or that it makes noise. They can spend much more money to get a machine that meets their needs. For the money, it is very good. The downsides (that's why I didn't give it 5 stars) are that it doesn't fit a cup under the extraction spot and if you make a second espresso consecutively, it is not successful. Okay with the steam wand, don't expect perfect froth, but as we said, for its price, it is very good.
For 2 years now, it does everything and is worth it, minimum 3 coffees every day. As for the drawbacks, it doesn't stop on its own. Especially with the ground coffee from Coffee Island, it performs wonders.
The machine is flawless, it is definitely worth its price, I would definitely buy it again. Now for the "experts" of coffee, since you have such a fetish, get a more expensive one to meet your needs... it neither takes long to heat up nor is the quality of the materials bad, and the coffee comes out as if it were made for you in a café. For a normal person who wakes up in the morning to drink coffee, it does its job and then some
Excellent product. I have the same one for 4 years without any problems, and I make 4-5 coffees a day!!! I bought it again for a friend.
For the money, it is a very good home choice, it has enough pressure to make the extraction properly at the double dose, with quite a bit of effort until you find the right steam point to make frothy milk, you can also achieve cappuccino. The only downside comes only with the double dose, so when you want to make a single espresso due to the large distance inside compared to the single dose holder, it never comes out right and burns, it comes out watery.
For the money, it's a perfect choice; I had bought the previous model 5 years ago and I have the same opinion
I have had it for 2 years now and it works perfectly. It also makes good foam for its price. The only negative I can mention is that it doesn't fit a large cup underneath. It definitely has to be a coffee cup.
It does its job, but don't expect it to be like the coffee you buy outside, as some say here. Unless you have found the perfect blend and the perfect technique and I don't know what else. I have tried a total of 3 ground blends. I fill the portafilter to the top, I let it run until almost 1 cup (which barely fits), I put sugar in the cup, I stir it with a hand frother, I add the ice cubes, and it's okay but that's it. It doesn't have as much kick as I expected either. I'm trying to find another one to replace it. It's better to spend 80-90 euros on something that is actually worth it than on something mediocre for 40-50 euros. After all, in 1 month it will already have paid for itself.
Unfortunately, I fell victim to the well-known clueless people who always write whatever they want. The machine is a disappointment in terms of material quality. It takes too long to heat up, and there isn't even enough space for a normal cup of coffee underneath! I have to use a smaller cup and then transfer it! But the most important thing is that the coffee it makes is damn awful. I'm sorry that most people claim to drink good coffee, they probably don't know what good coffee really means. I didn't notice that it operates at 850w and only saw the 15bar, so I made a mistake. I realized it when it arrived in the box, but I didn't return it because I thought, okay, let's try it since everyone says it's good. But mistakes have consequences! Get one with over 1100w to drink decent coffee
It takes a while to heat up. You need to achieve a good froth. It's different from one coffee shop to another. I grind it at 2.1 to make the water come out and get a good froth.
I have had it for 4 years and on average I make one or two coffees a day, only espressos though, not cappuccinos. It works perfectly, it still froths milk, and in the 4 years, it has only clogged once from salts and such. I cleaned it with descaler and then with water, and everything was great again. It has definitely paid off and more, great value for money
VFM machine, it's great for household use, personally I am satisfied, it makes a little noise but nothing annoying, in fact it helps you wake up, it really helped me a lot. As for the hot coffee, I have no opinion because I never drink it, neither does my wife. We tried it once out of curiosity to make froth, well it does something but don't expect café quality, after all, you get what you pay for
Only for the warming of the milk, it will lose 2 stars because it takes too long to warm it up and it doesn't make the proper foam... A thousand times better to get a milk frother machine to be satisfied...
I have had it for 6 years now. The coffee is pretty good, as long as you find a blend that you like. With regular descaling, it won't have any functional issues. The only issue for me is the noise and the fact that it doesn't make good froth at all. However, the machine works flawlessly.
I believe that it is the best for the price of 50 euros that I bought it. So far, I have only made hot espresso and freddo, and I can say that they have turned out very good, meaning that I have had worse coffees outside. I have not tried the milk frother nozzle, so I have no opinion on it. It heats up very quickly, meaning that it is ready by the time you press the coffee, and the noise is not loud. Overall, it is very easy to use, without even looking at the instructions I was able to make coffee. I highly recommend it for those who do not have or do not want to spend more than 50 euros.
I have it for almost 2 years. For the money, it is really value for money and it has never disappointed me. The coffee is very good and with a good foam.
While as a coffee maker it is okay, I have two observations to make: 1. It only fits short cups underneath and 2. The group has a tray inside only for a double shot of coffee and not a single and a double like all other coffee makers, which for me, who drinks single espresso, is a disadvantage.
I was swayed by the comments... I am not satisfied with the coffee it makes... the Italian brand makes a better coffee that I have tried
I did not expect this espresso machine at this price to make such great coffee. The only problem is that it doesn't work perfectly for frothing milk, but it heats the milk just fine. If someone is a cappuccino lover and wants the perfect froth, I wouldn't recommend it, but for espresso it is superb.
I was convinced by the comments here,
I have to say that after 20 coffees,
even from the supermarket, I make fantastic coffee. No more going out, I highly recommend it! Note: I haven't tried the frothed milk
Perfect café for espresso. I use it daily for over 3 years. It hasn't presented any problems. Note: I do NOT use the nozzle for frothed milk, so I don't have an opinion on whether it's good or not. I highly recommend it for its price.
I have this specific product for 6-7 years and it works great. The water heats up relatively quickly for such a machine, in about 2-4 minutes. The nozzle is a bit loose, after so many years the rubber that attaches the handle where we put the coffee got cut and it leaks. I will replace it and get the same one with a little more bars, it's worth the money
Price that is worth it and excellent quality (the coffee it produces). I have made 200 coffees so far. Just one note for those who eventually buy it, when you add water always make sure there is enough, otherwise it will taste different.
An extra personal comment because I am excited about it in the 2 months that I have had it, I have changed 3 coffee machines and this is the third but also the best.
I have it for a week and I am completely satisfied... it heats the water quite quickly, by the time you put the coffee in, it has already warmed up, the coffee's foam is equally good. The nozzle is not the best, in a test I did, the air pressure was not enough to make froth... The build quality is plastic and it has a large water tank. Overall, it is worth its money and makes very good coffee.
It is very good for its price. The only thing I might want more is to have a timer for the doses. You stop it empirically
I was looking for an affordable coffee maker, and after searching, I ended up with this one. It really is worth its money!!! It takes a little while to heat up, but not too long. By the time you place the coffee, it has already heated up. It makes a nice foam. The plastic parts don't seem as high-quality compared to another coffee maker I have used, but for its price, it is what it should be. The only negative thing is that during the first month of use, the metal container where you place the coffee got clogged (most of the time I didn't clean it immediately after use, so coffee was left behind). I bought a replacement part so I wouldn't have to deal with the service (cost 5€). Since then, I clean it immediately after use and it works perfectly. I highly recommend it!!
The machine is the best thing available at this price! Small in size and convenient, as well as very easy to use! It may be a bit noisy during operation, but not to an annoying extent! It is perfect for stopping daily coffee orders (which is why I bought it) and saving unnecessary expenses! I have had it for 1 month and I make 2-3 coffees daily, each one better than the other! I only drink espresso, so I don't have an opinion on the milk frother for someone who is interested! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants something simple and economical without luxuries for a daily coffee enjoyment!
We have had it for about 5 years and it makes great quality coffee every time with plenty of foam. We bought it for around €40 and I can say that the quality of the espresso is the same and often better than takeaways. The weak point is the milk frother, but it's unfair to judge a coffee maker based on the quality of the frother. I would gladly buy it again.
5 stars because it is very cheap and makes very good coffee for its price.
Much better than an Italian Group that I also have, which is indeed more beautiful but is more expensive and makes worse coffee.
On the downside, the water temperature rises more than it should, but this can be easily solved with a few tests and starting before the light turns on.
Also, it takes a long time for the light to turn on, but given the previous "problem," this ultimately turns into an advantage.
The froth is creamy as it should be and has a nice taste and texture.
Compared to the Group, it needs more frequent descaling, but that's okay.
Finally, because I don't use the nozzle for frothing milk, I don't have an opinion about it, but in a test to see if it works, it seemed decorative to me. If frothing milk is very important to you, this machine is not for you.
It makes very good coffee. It is worth its money and more. I don't have an opinion about the milk frother because I have a special milk frother machine that I don't compare to any nozzle. I say this because some people judge an espresso machine based on its milk frother.
