The new third generation Exceler LT 2023 was created by Daiwa to provide unparalleled smoothness and comfort while fishing. The Exceler's construction material is Zaion V, a uniquely dense carbon that has rigidity almost equal to aluminum, while being unaffected by salt corrosion.

The ATD brake technology has been applied to the Exceler, making its brakes completely linear. Its six bearings offer exceptional performance, while the ultra-light spool (Air Spool) and the extremely lightweight aluminum one-piece handle significantly reduce the overall weight of the mechanism. The handle is screwed onto the central gear, eliminating any play and providing high performance.
