Really practical and economical device for small families and students. For more than 2 people, you will need to use it 3-4 times to prepare the desired amount. Of course, the timer and quick cooking make the process a breeze. The downside is that the 12lt is not available to the user since there are lower heating elements at a certain distance from the bottom, reducing the available space. With the use of disposable aluminum trays, the device can also be successfully used as a small oven. I should mention the immediate service from the dealership, which, after communication, sent two missing components from the package during the holidays.
After a long time of use, I can say that it is worth the money; the only thing I would like is for the bin to be a little bigger; it fits one chicken but not a very large one
Expensive for the features it has, a basket for fries that opens suddenly while inside the fryer, you cannot put oil in, many small spaces to cook, instructions on how to put skewers are not included, as they do not fit and you may have to search. Overall, if you can, reject it. With much less money, you can get a more quality air fryer with the same capacity
Great machine. I had a fryer with a basket and I was very satisfied, but when I saw this model I decided to take a risk and switch to an air fryer, 1: because of the size (12l) for larger quantities of food, 2: I was impressed by the rotisserie, 3: the cylindrical attachment for potatoes. 4: the reason I chose this specific fryer was because it is the only one with heating elements top and bottom, allowing you to cook even oven dishes that you can't flip to cook well on both sides. After a long time and many tests with various foods, it is one of the best purchases I have made for my kitchen.
In this review we will see another air fryer, which however does not resemble most with the basket, the Rohnson R-2853 12-liter air fryer.
This particular model follows the vertical design with the door instead of the removable basket, has many accessories and provides some additional features. Let's see.
First acquaintance
Inside the package we find the 12-liter air fryer, with a power of 1900W and with dual top and bottom heating elements, something that is not often encountered.
The door opens horizontally like an oven, has double glass so we can see inside what is happening and with the help of the lamp and on the top there is the LED touch screen for functions and settings.
As for accessories, the Rohnson R-2853 has many:

Inside it now somewhere in the middle there are slots on the right and left where the rod that is used in combination with some of the accessories is inserted, so that it rotates. All accessories are dishwasher safe.
There are 10 preset programs, the temperature can be adjusted from 65 to 200°C, the operating time up to 60 minutes and it also has a dehydrating function.
And in terms of dimensions, it is medium-sized I would say with a height of 39cm and width & length of 33cm.
Tests
Let's start by seeing how fryers of this design like the Rohnson R-2853 work. They do not have a removable basket which means that we rely on the trays it has and the other accessories.
This obviously affects the capabilities in terms of quantities it can cook, unlike others like the R-2858 from the previous review. Let's see what it can do with each of its attachments:
Skewer attachment:
With the skewer attachment and the metal skewers, in 20 minutes at 180 degrees the skewers of pork and chicken were ready, cooked as they should be and very tasty.
Cylindrical basket:
I used the cylindrical basket to fry potatoes, fresh and frozen, and I admit that both the process and the result were easier than fryers with the basket. The rotating and continuous movement mixes them without the need to stir them. They are clearly cooked more evenly but it does not fit the quantity that 2-3 people may need.
Rotisserie attachment:
Here the chicken is not placed in the basket but is cooked like a rotisserie, as the rod passes through it and is secured with the two forks. It goes into the special slots, we choose temperature, time and the rotisserie option, to rotate. In 50 minutes at 190 degrees the chicken was cooked and juicy. No complaints. But I have to mention a space problem, as a medium chicken 1.7kg did not fit, so I had to take another smaller one at 1.4kg, because it touched the upper heating element during rotation. I also had to secure the wings and legs well.
Frying basket:
In the basket I put chicken nuggets, fish croquettes, frozen mini pies, grilled vegetables but also steak. They were cooked correctly but the ingredients easily stick to the mesh and the next time I greased it with a little oil.
Trays:
In the two non-stick trays, the same things were tested as in the frying basket with the same correct results but without anything sticking.
Overall, the presence of two resistances top and bottom helps a lot in cooking and I believe it reduces the time. Not by half, as the top one is stronger and needs to turn the meats like steaks, for example, but the process becomes somewhat more uniform.
The use of the non-stick tray is necessary when using the other components so that the fats and residues fall there.
Final Impressions
And now the verdict. I have no complaints about the Rohnson R-2853 air fryer in terms of performance and cooking. Everything came out right, the many accessories give you the opportunity to make certain foods in a different way and certainly positively affects their cooking and taste.
Of course, I should mention that this particular model, I assume similar models as well, will not meet the needs of a family. I would see it and recommend it more to bachelors or a couple. Otherwise, we should go for models with a large detachable basket, such as the excellent Rohnson R-2858 and R-2834.
Of course, it is much easier to clean due to the sizes of the components but also in managing materials during cooking.
At the moment, it starts at €170 in the market and if you are excited about its capabilities and accessories, there are not many similar models to it and you should definitely take a look.
Well, first of all, I have to mention that I chose this air fryer because it's like many devices in one. It has many functions, programs, and offers many different options. It is convenient and easy to use. I really like, for example, that I can put food on different levels. It is quite large compared to others on the market, has a lot of space, and can accommodate a family. I also find it convenient how bright it is inside and the touch screen it has. I have already made omelets, potatoes, steaks, and kebabs in the rotating accessory. Everything came out very tasty, although I want to experiment with other recipes because honestly all these accessories give you many options and new ideas come to you immediately.
Conclusion: user-friendly and practical, very high quality and provides many possibilities. It replaces the classic oven, the microwave oven, and the usual fryers due to the many accessories included. I am satisfied and may come back with an update soon.
