It's not miraculous, but from my experience with carnitine and fat burning, I noticed the following:
When you want to burn fat, you reduce the calories you consume and exercise. The problem that unfortunately arises is that your energy drops significantly and possibly your body - besides fat - burns muscle more than you would like in order to find energy. In other words, you don't have as much energy and unfortunately, you also burn muscle.
Carnitine definitely gave me energy to easily do my workouts, protecting my muscles. It is the first cut I have done where it is so clean in the sense that I burned fat and maintained muscle.
