The review is based on simple use. A decent tablet for basic use. Generally, I bought it as an upgrade from a much older model, the A6, for my father. The official cases generally consist of two colors, one on the outside and one on the inside, and fold in a style somewhat like this _/^\_. Overall, it's not a tablet that you would say runs completely smoothly, but generally, I believe the image and motion are quite satisfactory, just like in value phones (xiaomi, huawei, etc.). Apps, etc., typically run like on any Android device, so you won't have an issue. Wifi is quite good. My father doesn't take photos, but okay, let's say it's fine for that too. Now, the 8GB RAM and 128GB should satisfy all of you, unless you're shooting videos or photos like crazy, in which case you should probably look elsewhere.
In summary, you won't buy something extraordinary. I consider it the premium value for money tablet. That is, yes, you will find cheaper ones, but this is probably one of the more premium in its series. I recommend it as a gift or for personal use as a second screen for apps like Netflix, YouTube, Teams, emails, etc.
Guys, I really can't understand what criteria everyone uses to buy a tablet and evaluate it... honestly. Without a hint of irony, I clarify.
I read the comments about the A9+ and you have made my day!!!!
One person has it in the car but is bothered because its size hides the car's thermometer.
Another talks about the price difference between Greece and Germany...
Another friend says the battery lasts 6 hours. (WHAT ARE YOU PLAYING, Call of Duty or Destiny 2???)
And so on...
The tablet does exactly what a 250 euro tablet can do, as long as you know what you want.
If you want something more than what this specific model offers, then spend more money and get a higher-end one.
I won't ramble on anymore.
Size: It's large at 11 inches, thus a bit heavy for handheld use since, like it or not, it’s almost half a kilo.
Processor: for everyday to medium use, it responds perfectly. (If you want something more specialized, get another one.)
Display: It's TFT, not AMOLED... Good response, nice graphics, and enough brightness (Samsung). Don't forget it has a 90Hz refresh rate, not 120!!!!
Battery: I repeat, for everyday to medium use, the 7040mAh keeps it alive for several hours to days (for example, I comfortably get 3 days with simple usage like watching videos, browsing, and surfing).
From there on, it's Samsung. If you like the One UI interface, get it; otherwise, get an iPad or Xiaomi.
If someone wants something affordable, it's okay. But that's about it. Since I also have more expensive tablets with much stronger processors, I can clearly understand the difference in usage. Personally, I would suggest someone to spend more money and pay attention to the processor and the screen of the tablet for 2024 so that it is faster.
In comparison with a Xiaomi Pad Pro 12.5, day and night on display and colors? There is no comparison. Up to 220-250 and I'm saying a lot... as a holder of many Samsung devices, I didn't expect it to be so fake... it's not worth it, the operating system and both the backgrounds and color resolution are poor... it's good for browsing the internet and chatting
I got it as a gift. The owner was extremely satisfied to the point that he bought a new one for a family member. It is very fast, with a perfect screen in terms of resolution and size. It is lightweight and easy to carry. Ideal for work and personal entertainment. It is a value for money device. If you are looking for a tablet with the same features, I believe it is worth it.
2 months of heavy use, with movies, series, & music and I can say it has very good durability, it is fast in use, it has good speakers, it has great storage capacity, it does its job perfectly, I am simply satisfied, I recommend it!
The purchase was made at 200 euros, which was the amount I wanted to spend. Between the Xiaomi tablet SE and this one, I chose the Samsung A9 Plus. I placed them side by side and played a song on YouTube, and it really had better sound and picture than the Xiaomi. And because I have a Samsung Galaxy S20, I connected both together and I was truly amazed. I receive calls on my mobile or messages, and I can respond from the tablet. I have the Samsung Tablet A9 Plus WiFi... the battery lasts a very long time, at least 2 days with continuous video. The purchase is worth it...
I have placed it in the car. on the dashboard
I travel 3 hours every day....
For its price, perfect....
The only negative is that due to its size, it hides the factory thermometer of the car
Samsung Galaxy A9+ 5G, 8GB, 128GB, Graphite model Dec-2023**.
[**security updates until Dec-2028, and android until at least 16 as confirmed by Samsung. very important THIS]
Purchased in February 2024, after 9 months of use:
-- Quite fast (does not lag) I assume due to 8GB ram,
-- good screen, does not strain the eyes, and quite bright.
-- average battery but lasts over 6 hours of intense use (video/games).
-- Charging takes about ~2 hours with a 35W charger. It might be faster with a PD charger 45W+, I DO NOT KNOW.
-- 5G is convenient, because from Europe you can buy a SIM for €20 for unlimited internet roaming in Greece without being ripped off by voda-nova-cosmo SIM cards that want a kidney for unlimited data.
Came with android 13 and was upgraded to 14 six months ago.
Overall:
The best you can buy even today for 230 Swiss francs (240€). Logically in Germany it is still 5-10% cheaper. I do not know why they sell them so expensively in Greece. At these Greek prices, other equally good or better tablets from German stores are available with ~5% increase (a ridiculous amount at €350+)... for example S9 FE, Active5, Xiaomi, etc.
I got it for reading books/comics and watching movies, which it does very well. It's not very fast, something that becomes apparent with its first activation in simple navigation through the menus without "freezing," but it does lose frames several times. However, for the money, it's not bad. The speakers are very good and loud for movies, and the screen for its price is quite decent, but it is NOT OLED, so if you are used to the classic AMOLED experience from Samsung, this is not on this tablet.
Not what I expected...
It freezes... it doesn't connect... It's like it's thinking...
Having its little "sibling" (SM-X115) the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 8.7" with WiFi & 4G (8GB/128GB) which literally flies, I can tell you that the difference is huge!!!
I hoped it would be just as good, if not better (mainly because of 5G), but I was wrong.
Fortunately, I got the 4GB/64GB which is more economical (€218) but still more expensive than the A9 (€180), but it performs half as well.
Even with battery saving turned off...
Maybe because of less RAM??? Who knows.... And still, it has 1.5GB free... It shouldn't...
Let's hope for some future upgrade only....
Something strange: to work on 5G, battery saving must be turned off, which doesn't happen on the phone, let's say (A55 and not only)...
You turn it off and it switches to 5G... You turn it on and it switches to 4G...
I have had it for 3 days and for the money, I consider it a very worthwhile choice.
Satisfactory size for reading and movies and quite powerful for Android games (and emulators) without any lag.
The only negatives that I think are worth mentioning are the camera, which is nothing special, and the battery, which does not last a full day with continuous use, so for outdoor use, getting a PowerBank is necessary.
But if you want it for primary use inside the house, then it is definitely the right tablet for the money.
You get what you pay for. I only have it for a little social and mainly for movies when I'm away from home. For the money, it's totally worth it. It connects with AirPods too. The only downside is that the viewing angles are a bit off. You have to look at it straight on, but as I said, you get what you pay for.
Excellent tablet with good screen resolution, impressive speakers, and long battery life. With 5G, you have connectivity everywhere without worries, provided you have unlimited data.
Quite a good screen, for games, movies, videos, etc.
I was impressed by its very good sound. The first time I watched a movie on it, I couldn't believe it had such good and clear sound.
The tablet is as described, but I was disappointed that it plays Cosmote videos with cuts. I don't know if I made a mistake or if it's an upgrade issue. Any help would be appreciated.
After a month of use, I am satisfied. Quite comfortable, fast, with a large and clear screen. The use I make is video, Facebook, Instagram, web browsing, utility apps (calendar, notes, documents and spreadsheets, online games).
Update after about 2 months:
--1-- Its wifi antenna is not particularly strong. If two walls are in between, it completely loses the 5GHz signal, and the 2.4GHz signal with 2-3 bars. In comparison, phones, laptops, and the old Sony tablet have 4-5 bars on 5GHz and a stable 2.4GHz signal.
--2-- It is very convenient that the 2-3 most recent OPEN apps appear at the bottom of the screen, like the taskbar in Windows, making it easy to switch between apps.
Overall, I am still satisfied.
Honest tablet for its price. 8gb 128gb. I bought it for €252 including the 25w charger and shipping. The charger is not included in the package. Only the cable. Good sound, okay screen resolution, doesn't lag, battery lasts 1.5-2 days depending on usage. I'm not interested in photos, but it's okay. Easy file transfer between Samsung devices. Perfect for social media and some games. It's perfect for the use I want it for.
The Tabletaki is very good for its price, quite fast and doesn't freeze (I don't have it for gaming). I have the 8/128 version and I am satisfied. Its screen is satisfactory and its battery easily lasts a day! And it's also Samsung!
I can say that it is a very valuable Tablet for its price and quite fast, lightweight, and has a very nice finish. You can do daily tasks and social media from it when you don't have your phone with you. It has quick response from Samsung to Samsung for file transfer, an amazing tool for various tasks. It has fast charging with the appropriate charger, of course the Samsung 15w charger, amazing Dolby Atmos sound, and an audio jack port. Battery life is quite satisfactory depending on its usage.
Honest
You get what you pay for. It has GPS.
It does not have a flashlight.
For fast charging, get a fast charger.
He uses it daily and he likes it a lot.
Whoever wants to pay more gets something better.
I wonder about the comments that mention good speed. It even lags during browsing. I have the same speed on older and cheaper tablets. The screen resolution is also disappointing.
For the money, it's the best. Very good speakers, good viewing angle, perfect size of 11', and good battery. Get the 8/128, the price difference is small. The only thing that disappointed me is that in the top kinemaster video editing program (which I have been using for 8 years straight), it tells me that it can only edit 2 videos simultaneously up to 720p maximum. It's a bit of a letdown compared to what the Samsung A7, which I also have, offers. It's the 2021 model with 3GB. I'm a little disappointed because I have the 8GB RAM, 128GB version
