The seat arrived with a small piece broken off on the hinge area by the lid, but a little glue sorted that out. The seat didn't touch the toilet bowl in all four points underneath, so I had to put washers in to raise it, otherwise you felt the seat could crack when you put weight on it. Now it is in place it looks good and closes softly. I would not buy this again, I would chose the Borrman one instead.
