Incredible laptop for its price. I have a desktop with a 1080ti and I was amazed at how good laptops have become at such prices. I found this laptop for just under €700 and it’s worth every penny! I use it for game development, photo/video editing, and of course gaming.

    NEGATIVES:
    -Battery
Terrible, even in super power saving modes it barely lasts 2 hours at best and the laptop is brand new (3 months old). It also has an option to keep the laptop at a steady 50-60% while plugged in to avoid degrading the charge cycles (I can’t even imagine how long it will last in a year).

    -RAM
8GB is okay for some very basic tasks but that’s it. It really holds back the laptop’s performance and creates a huge bottleneck in games. Since it has two slots on the motherboard, I got a 16GB stick and now the laptop has a total of 24GB.

    BENCHMARK:
    -8GB
I haven’t played many demanding games on the laptop because I have my desktop for those. However, one game I played that is on Unreal Engine 5 is Marvel Rivals, which with the 8GB it had ran at 1080p around 60fps on all Low with DLSS on Ultra Performance, and the fps were generally very variable (dropping down to 20fps) and we’re talking about a laptop that is 144hz.

    -24GB
After upgrading to 24GB, the laptop runs the game using 18+GB of RAM (so it would bottleneck at 16GB) but now the laptop shows its capabilities playing at 1080p ultra preset with DLSS on ultra performance at a steady 50-60fps, and at the low preset 1080p native it easily reaches 144hz. (Personally, I play at 1080p 120fps low preset with textures and details on ultra and DLSS on quality).

    POSITIVES:
    -Screen
Beautiful screen, the most beautiful LCD screen I have ever seen with incredible colors, a pretty wide brightness range, and amazing HDR (keep in mind that I also have an AMOLED screen for comparison).

    -CPU and GPU
I don’t need to say anything about the processor and the graphics card; it’s definitely not a 4080, but for the screen it has, I believe it can fully utilize it, just like the processor, which I don’t think anything will challenge.

    -M2
Built-in M2, and I discovered when opening the laptop that it also has a socket for adding a 2.5 SSD, so that’s a very positive feature too.

    -Thickness
I find it unbelievable that such a laptop has a thickness similar to a USB port at such a price.

    -MSI Center
This is my first MSI product, and I can say that I am very satisfied with the options provided by the MSI Center (laptop drivers) where you can easily manage everything and even overclock the graphics card.

Overall, I am very happy so far with the choice I made and I would recommend it with my eyes closed because I believe this laptop could easily be priced at €750-800 (+€25 for RAM upgrade)

Generally, I rarely do reviews but this particular laptop is worth it. It is used for light gaming like god of war, Spider-Man, Final Fantasy, etc. However, where it really impressed me was with emulation. In Rpcs3, it has been tested with god of war 3 and with the appropriate settings, it runs at 45-55fps. Psx2 runs smoothly in 4k without any crashes. As for work (WD), I won't go into detail as it can be done with a CPU and GPU from 7 years ago. It's worth every euro.
