Opinel Effile No. 12 “Beech” 002560
The Opinel Effile No. 12 beech is a stylish and practical pocket knife. Its narrow blade makes it ideal for tasks such as filleting fish and cutting thin slices. It is a sleek pocket knife that you can take anywhere, but it will also make a charming addition to the dining table.
Opinel Effile Series
The Opinel Effile, formerly Slim Line, is the new name for this charming collection of pocket knives from Opinel. Opinel Effile knives are available in various sizes with luxurious wooden handles. The new Effile series logo is stamped on the metal locking support. It features a Virobloc safety ring that locks the blade in an open or closed position, which was conceived and implemented in 1955. This simple yet effective locking system significantly improved the original capability of the knife, preventing the blade from opening when closed and also preventing it from closing when open.
The blade is made from Sandvik 12C27 steel with a hardness of 57 HRC. This steel is highly resistant to corrosion and very durable due to its high carbon content. As a result, it is stainless and retains its sharp edge very well.
Beech Wood of Opinel Effilé
The knife features an elegant handle made of beech wood, which is very durable. The fine grain of the wood not only makes it strong but also gives the knife a warm and natural appearance. The slender handle feels great in hand. It is recommended to store your knife away from sunlight after use.
Opinel Effile Maintenance
To enjoy your Opinel pocket knife for a long time, maintenance is key. An occasional layer of oil will prevent the wood from drying out. Don't forget to grease the locking mechanism for smooth operation. You can make the blade razor sharp again with sharpening stones. Always store your knife properly in a suitable sheath to avoid damage to the blade or handle.
