After about 2 months, I can say that we are very satisfied with the purchase of the V15 Detect.
A 70sqm apartment with 2 dogs is cleaned better and faster compared to the conventional vacuum we had (a very decent AEG). It is somewhat heavy, but I don't think it's a problem, especially since you hold it and "drive" it on the floor without supporting its weight. The attachment for floors with the laser does an excellent job of showing you spots you haven't covered; it's not just for appearance as I initially thought. We also got the special attachment for pet hair removal, which has been a game changer for us (especially for sofas).
The only downside is that it is a bit heavy and tiring. Also, the attachment that allows you to reach places like under the bed is not included and you have to buy it
I have a border collie and I also hate to live in a house full of dog’s hair, which is a bad combination. For years I had Dyson V8 animal for every day cleaning and Miele cat and dog for weekly deep cleaning and this combination worked well. Or so I believed until I got this machine. It is amazing. It is definitely heavier than V8 but nothing unmanageable as it is also much more controllable. If V8 is a VW, this is a Mercedes. The brush with the light is a shock because you actually see what kind of dirt we live in, so I wouldn’t recommend it to someone with OCD, but this thing sucks everything. One charge is enough for 130 m2 on auto mode. I was a bit sceptical because it is not cheap, but now I don’t regret it one bit. I recommend it to anyone who lives with a hairy pet or husband/wife.
Incredible ease of cleaning the house. Quick cleaning, powerful vacuum, super easy bin emptying, and a battery that never runs out.
Well done, it's worth the money you spend, you enjoy using it.
After a week of use, it is really top for its category. It competes almost equally with the Premium conventional ones. As a construction, it is of very high quality. In my opinion, if you do not have a decent conventional one, it is a perfect choice. If you have a Premium conventional, prefer a more economical model or perhaps another brand. Its negatives are its weight and the lack of an option for continuous operation without using the trigger. I emphasize again that it is completely unnecessary as an expense if someone has a top conventional. They should look into other models or other brands in the range of 300 euros
First experience with a stick vacuum and I am quite satisfied. As mentioned in other reviews, the weight is a bit of an issue; your hand gets tired with three extra kilos on it, but okay. This may be a concern for some and not for others. Personally, I find it more tiring to hold the spot where you place your finger to activate the vacuum and the fact that you have to keep pressing it continuously for the vacuum to be operational. It doesn’t have an on/off button. The attachments are all useful depending on what you want to clean. Two for floor cleaning, one has LED lighting, and two smaller ones for corners, mattresses, carpets, etc., mainly when you want to use it as a small vacuum. The plastic parts for the price could be of better quality. For a 60 square meter home, the battery usage is good with one cleaning; for larger homes, I imagine you will need a break for charging. It has good suction power and is relatively quieter, especially compared to conventional vacuums that drive you crazy. It has a screen to set the language, shows you what it is sucking up, the battery percentage when charging, and three levels of suction power to choose from. It has a base for you to place it on if you want. Personally, for me, who finds vacuuming a chore, it has now become more pleasant at least; you don’t have to drag the vacuum around and get it stuck in corners or need to change outlets. I believe it is a money investment that is worth it!
Although I don't like to start with negative reviews, I have to here because it's very important and needs to be pointed out...
Anyone with orthopedic problems (tendinitis, arthritis), do not choose this!! It is very heavy, especially for petite women. It has burdened me a lot these few days that I've been using it.
Now, regarding its performance, it's too early to say if it's worth the money, but what you will see collecting within 5 minutes of use, you will lose! It may hold very little in turbo mode, but the job it does is amazing!
I had been used to Kirby my whole life!
I moved to a maisonette and needed something lightweight and cordless for convenience on the stairs.
The best for wooden/laminate floors and does a pretty good job on carpets.
Incredible vacuum cleaner. Personally, I was impressed by the light it has on one head, which helps you locate the accumulation of dust on the tiles. I highly recommend it.
The vacuum cleaner is amazing. You can see even the tiniest speck of dust. It is quite light, but not so much that I can hold it continuously with one hand. The bin empties very easily and its attachments are quite good!
Okay guys, we're talking about something else.. I was considering it because of the price, but I took the plunge and I wouldn't change it for anything..!!
It was used minimally (2-3 weeks) and from the third use, the trigger had a problem. It worked intermittently and didn't always catch. It was sent back with a warranty and there was no response after 3 weeks. However, Skroutz handled the issue excellently by replacing it themselves. Eventually, the order was canceled and the product was returned.
The product has a significant value. For such money, you expect something of quality and not something that breaks within a month. Reading other comments online, the issue with the switch (trigger) is known in Dyson (and other models).
As a device, it doesn't give you a sense of durability.
The weight is moderate.
It doesn't come close to the power of the Miele we have.
I am completely satisfied with it. I bought it 3 months ago and up until now I have been using it easily. the outcomes is wonderful. I have a particularly hairy dog. each time I vacuum the carpets, the hairs removed fill almost the entire tank, while my previous cleaner extracted less than half this quantity. you get used to the weight very easily. the battery is enough for my house (75 square meters) when I clean it myself. when the cleaning lady uses it (move couches and clean thoroughly everything) it will need recharging at some point. worth every last penny
I believe that for the housewife who wants a daily cleaning just "for appearances' sake," it's okay... more or less. For the housewife who wants and is used to using a handheld vacuum for lighter tasks like cleaning corners of cushions, curtains, behind the fridge, and generally in narrower spaces, a traditional electric vacuum cleaner is preferable. The one that stands on its own wherever you put it... Dyson needs either to lean against a wall or have its support. Also, it's not as powerful as it seems, even in its turbo mode.
I was reading the comments with the 5 stars and I believed that it would be a fantastic purchase. However, I wonder if all those who gave it 5 stars tried to sweep under the bed or other surfaces?? Because in order to do that, you have to lie down on the floor as there is no way for the handle to fit underneath, and also, the handle goes in from below until it reaches the bin... and from there on, you're lost. And precisely because half of the vacuum cleaner is the bin with the handle, etc., the remaining half is too short to allow you to do your job properly under surfaces (not just under the bed).
The second problem is that you have to keep the button pressed for it to work, which, combined with the weight of the vacuum cleaner, becomes tiring for large houses and hurts the bone of the thumb because it constantly presses on the top part of the switch that you have to press continuously.
The third problem is that the base, which consists of 2 pieces, the one that screws onto the wall and the one that attaches on top of it, constantly comes undone due to the weight of the vacuum cleaner. Cheap construction and ineffective.
The vacuum cleaner is extremely overpriced for what it offers. There could be the possibility to extend the handle if needed or for it to be collapsible like in other stick vacuums. The issue of weight should have been solved and also the materials of the base should support the weight of the device.
Personally, I regret the money I spent and I believe that with much less, I could have gotten something better, but I was swayed by the positive reviews and the brand... I should have been more careful!
I have been using it for 5 months. The light it has is very good and it can see small dust particles easily, making it easy to clean at night. We have a cat, so there is litter everywhere and it collects it easily, as well as the hair. I only use it on turbo mode and in 14 minutes of use, it has cleaned 120 sqm of the house. Of course, we also have a lot of furniture and things, so the 120 sqm is not realistic. Anyway, it is worth its money, it is the best at collecting dust. It is heavy for a woman, it is heavy and your hand hurts after 15-20 minutes of continuous use, but it is unbeatable
The 4/5 stars are clear because it is the most powerful of all stick vacuums and has satisfactory build quality. Personally, it is not value for money because it is not as powerful as I expected, as I had to buy the Dyson base separately to support it and have it ready for use, otherwise you have to break it down and have it on charge (how will you support it and have it permanently on charge???). Also, the green laser light at the bottom is a positive feature as it reveals dirt.
It is one of those purchases that will change your everyday life. You will enjoy vacuuming almost daily. It is lightweight and the battery definitely lasts for a 100 sqm house. Due to the fact that the dustbin gets emptied almost magically and because you don't need to unravel and gather the cord for the socket, you will want to vacuum at the slightest opportunity. It is also much quieter compared to conventional vacuums and the laser makes you want to vacuum with the lights off. Finally, almost the entire vacuum is washable or can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Recently, I also used the attachment for mattresses and was amazed at how much dust it sucked from the mattress and the couch. I have been using it for 9 months now and it has not shown any problems.
Home with two golden retrievers and a long-haired cat. This is not a vacuum cleaner, if it were a person it would be Iron Man. It's worth every euro, it cleans carpets with a stroke, it's the conqueror of hair, I have never seen such a machine and it collects dust incredibly. If you have pets, don't even think about it for a second, I am now happy to use a vacuum cleaner.
The second photo is the carpet with one pass, only in one direction. I'm saved!
He is the KING of vacuum cleaners - I don't have words to start with:
1. EASE: you don't carry cables, everyone says that. It turns very easily.
2. LASER: it is the greatest discovery ever made in a vacuum cleaner!
You can clean at night, only with the laser, only with the necessary paths,
it's amazing how the dust is visible and where you have passed and where not!
(Those who are obsessed with cleanliness should not buy it, the dust and dirt are visible
and I see them cleaning all day long).
Especially for dads, it's a crazy gadget! In the 3 weeks that I have it, I am the only one cleaning
a 100+ sqm house very easily.
3. BATTERY: The battery lasts for 30+ minutes in normal mode, it's great,
with the laser, it doesn't take more than a quarter to clean the whole house!
3. CARPETS: It does them even better than my old Bosch vacuum cleaner.
With one pass with the special tool, it removes dirt that you don't expect!
CONCLUSION
You get what you pay for! You give something extra but you get the top.
I can't understand those who write negative comments saying that it doesn't clean, etc.
For so long, I thought I was cleaning - now with the laser, I am sure.
An incredible purchase - a bargain, get it when it's on sale combined with bank returns in well-known stores.
I bought the v15 on Black Friday, probably 2 weeks ago for 699. It gave me a problem with the filter, it needs cleaning. I returned it after 2 days and luckily they had another one and replaced it immediately. I had also talked to the dealership and they told me it's not normal and suspect what's wrong and asked me to bring it back. The second one has no problems at all. It is very powerful and cleans the house perfectly, 110 square meters. In the kitchen, I have it on the strong setting. The best purchase.
Hello!
The vacuum cleaner: for me, it's worth every penny 100%. Since before, at home with my boyfriend, we had a conventional electric vacuum cleaner and every time it seemed like a mountain to us since our house is 130 square meters. Now we "fight" over who will vacuum. The only relatively negative thing is its weight, but that also depends on the strength each user has in their hands!
To us, it seems heavy, but we alternate using our hands! Whenever my sister comes to the house and uses it, it seems heavy to her, but DYSON is known for its strong arms!
Its power is amazing! It sucks everything!
It is also relatively small and convenient in size, which means you can use it anytime and anywhere locally without much effort!
The attachment for the sofa is truly a treasure. We have a big dog with long hair, and before DYSON, we didn't let her get on the sofa!
Now she can get on it normally... we take it out during the day on the sofa and clean it quickly and effectively with the attachment!
The biggest shock we had was with our mattress!
A mattress we had for a year and a half!
I decided to vacuum it with the sofa attachment to see what it would pick up! So I emptied the bin and went and vacuumed the surface of the mattress! It was shocking. I didn't imagine that a relatively new mattress had so much dust!
However, the only issue we had with the vacuum cleaner is that after an hour of use, when I took my finger off the trigger, it kept working! And I had to press the trigger two or three times again for it to stop...
Since we have gotten used to it so much, we didn't pay much attention! And yesterday it gave us a message that something is stuck in the hose. I opened it and blew all its parts with the blower, I made it work, and it gave the same message! I didn't force it and we took it for replacement!
Indeed, at the service center, they confirmed what I told them and that it heats up more than it should!
Our problem is the store where we bought it because we have a problem with the replacement since they no longer bring this model! Anyway, I also contacted the exclusive representative of DYSON in Greece, and a solution will be found!
In a few words, the vacuum cleaner is unbeatable, especially for us with pets at home!
Amazing vacuum, good build quality with Dyson guarantee, cleans excellently and the laser helps a lot in seeing even the tiniest dust. It has nothing to envy from traditional vacuums in terms of power, on the contrary, it is much more convenient for everyday cleaning. Useful attachments, good battery life, and the automatic intensity is nice too.
The only thing I would like a little better is the way the bin empties, because usually you have to use your hand to empty it properly.
Its price is quite high, I don't have a comparison with other stick vacuums but only with traditional ones. Personally, it solved my problems, but you can definitely find something decent for less money.
If you choose this one, you won't regret it, the quality speaks for itself, but get it on a good discount near Black Friday.
Awesome tool that will solve your hands. I have tried many vacuum cleaners in general, but the V15 takes cleaning to another level. It is very powerful and you really need to try it to understand how good it is. The package includes many attachments, from mattress cleaning to every little corner of the house.
Its battery is removable, which is very good for the life of the vacuum cleaner, as if after 3-4 years the battery starts to fail and doesn't last long, you can buy a new one and attach it directly without having to throw away the entire vacuum cleaner because of the battery (I have already done this twice).
It also includes a charging base that requires drilling into the wall and has slots to attach the attachments (not all, I think up to 2, I haven't installed the base yet).
If someone doesn't want to drill the wall, there is also the Dyson Floor Dok base (not included in the package).
Overall, I am very satisfied and I recommend it not so much for its technologies (counting debris and particles, green light to see the debris live as you clean), but for its power and effectiveness on all types of floors and furniture/mattresses.
The best vacuum cleaner on the market for its category!
It is worth every euro as it does a really good job. The only downside could be considered its battery life, but for 50 square meters it is more than enough.
Awesome vacuum-cleaner - construction quality, it sucks perfectly. The bristles do not get tangled in the moving parts and overall it is worth every last euro. Instead of pulling foreign objects while sweeping and constantly changing outlets, it is better to pay more and have comfort
